Kids Planet Rugely in Staffordshire is open to care for children Monday to Friday 7:30am till 6:00pm - 52 weeks of the year.

The nursery first opened in 1997, and is a setting where children can grow in confidence, be more independent, develop skills and learn how to interact with other children while enjoying exciting activities.

The nursery has a long standing team, low staff turnover, and highly experienced, supportive and caring staff who work with parents to understand each child's needs and interests.

There is an on onsite sports coach, yoga instructor and outdoor leads who have gained an outdoor accreditation for the Udeskole approach which brings play back to nature.

The nursery also has an on-site, qualified chef. Fresh fruit is provided every day. Menu plans vary each season reflecting diverse cultures. No matter what your child’s dietary requirements, they all eat delicious, healthy and balanced meals.

The nursery is absolutely amazing, all the staff go above and beyond and do anything they can to help and support families and their little ones. We are so thankful to all the staff; they are all wonderful people and do an amazing job.

After first using the nursery for my eldest who left two years ago it felt like returning to family when it was time for me to return to work and send my youngest to nursery. Lovely to see so many familiar welcoming faces when we visited. All of the staff get to know the children well and nurture them
to develop as individuals. Both my children have been very happy there. I would definitely recommend Kids Planet Rugeley to anyone.

Very happy with this nursery, my daughter always comes home very happy and tells me all about her day. The staff are amazing and do a great job and look after the children so well. I would recommend this nursery if anyone is looking for a nursery for their children. Amazing job everyone doing keep up

Kids Planet Rugeley are undoubtedly amazing, all the key workers are so professional and show the utmost care to the children. My daughter has been there since she was 8 weeks old and the support they have shown has been endless. They supply all the main needs for the children including nappies and
milk (which is a super big bonus!) and have constantly kept up to date my daughter's needs. Big well done to the nursery.

My child is extraordinarily happy at this nursery. The staff keep me updated with any changes to their nature and give great advice. They offer stay and play days on occasion so I have the chance to come and see them in the nursery environment. Can't express how happy we are with the nursery and everything

Fabulous nursery, the staff genuinely care for the children and my daughter is excited every time she goes to nursery and comes out beaming. The app is brilliant, I love that we are kept up to date throughout the day of all the activities she’s been doing and even her nappy changes, naps and meals.

Excellent nursery and wouldn't want to send my child anywhere else as I know she is well cared for. She is always busy doing lots of activities and there seems to be lots going on lately such as cooking club which I think is fantastic.

The staff at Kids Planet Rugeley are so friendly and welcoming to my little one. They keep you fully updated during the day which keeps your mind at ease and it’s so nice to see their little faces enjoying all the activities that are planned for each day.
They also celebrate all holidays and things
going on such as Mother’s Day, Easter and the Jubilee which is lovely for everyone to get involved.
Overall, it is a wonderful nursery and I’m so pleased my little one is able to experience it.

The staff at Horn End Rugeley are amazing. My son has additional needs. They have been so supportive as we go through the different stages of diagnosis. The nursery has made adaptations to meet the needs of my son and they make sure he is progressing as well as being happy. The manager is knowledgeable
and has advocated for my son to get access to the services he needs. The nursery are supporting my son to get an EHC plan which will ensure he can access the appropriate school and get the support he requires when it’s time to start school life. I really couldn’t ask for more from them. They are flexible, kind and compassionate.

The staff are always welcoming and friendly. If I have ever needed to contact them, they are available to discuss anything. The care my child receives is brilliant and I leave her at nursery knowing that she is in safe and caring hands. We loved attending the parent Mother’s Day afternoon and enjoy

My daughter started at Horn End nearly two years ago and started in the baby smalls group. She is now in Tommy Thumb's and absolutely loves it. It’s always daunting to think a stranger will be looking after your child but the ladies looking after her everyday soon became her favourite people. I can’t
recommend Horn End, now Kids Planet enough to anyone. I love that I have daily updates as to what she has been up to with photos, what she’s had for lunch and how much. I feel she’s came on so much with her development and a lot I think is down to what she is being encouraged to explore at nursery. The nursery supported her to be independent and helped with potty training/eating healthy nutritious food. I will always be grateful to everyone at Horn End for giving my daughter such a loving and caring environment during a pandemic and continue to do so.

Overall a great nursery, my son loves it there and anything you're not sure about they are always there to help , very friendly staff too - 10/10. There is also so many different activities the children get to do, I think it's great as my son gets to learn something new every time.

I cannot thank you all enough for the support/advice you have given me over the years for both my daughter and son who attend here full time.
My daughter who is now in Toby Talls has learnt so much here from eating solid foods, being potty trained the list is endless.

Amazing nursery. My little boy has attended from 8 months and has come on leaps and bounds. Before that, my daughter attended until she started school and they provided the best pre-school environment for her. The staff are brilliant with a warm and friendly approach. 100% recommend!

By far the best nursery around, I struggle to get my boys to leave at the end of the day! The staff are amazing they go above and beyond for the children, my boys love them like family. They are dedicated, supportive and approachable, nothing is ever to much trouble, daily updates and pictures are so
lovely to receive. As a mother I don't particularly like leaving my children but when they are at nursery I know I don't have to worry and their every need is taken care of.
The variation of activities is immense and the children are always learning, they do lots of outside play and love doing yoga.
My eldest has attended since 9 months old and I know he's going to be so upset when he leaves for school in September. I'll forever be in debt to the wonderful staff for the amazing start they have given and continue to give my children, I know they wouldn't be the clever, happy, confident content little boys they are now without their input.

Amy Carroll

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2002

I have been working at this nursery since 2002. I started here as a student on placement, became cover staff, then a team member, progressing to Room Leader and then in 2011 I became Nursery Manager. Throughout this time, I studied to gain my BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.


I have two children of my own, both girls who have both attended this nursery with me.
I am lucky to have a long-standing supportive team whom I have worked with for a really long time.
