My little one joined the nursery a year ago after a bad experience at her previous nursery. Very caring environment, encouraging and nurturing little individuals to bloom and thrive. Was amazed seeing them using basic Makaton signs and sitting at meal times around their tables quietly focusing on their food! Well done Croft! You are all doing a wonderful job! Highly recommended!
We were very worried that our son would not settle in the nursery when he first joined at the end of April 2019. He settled in very well and he was warmly welcomed by the staff from the nursery. My special thanks to the baby room where he was made to feel like home. He is loved and cared for by the staff. I feel he is in safe hands while I am at work. He is now enjoying going to the nursery.

The staff are very good and I have always felt that it is a positive and safe environment for him.
The food is organic and home cooked and the activities that he does are continual and educational.
They are all very proactive in ensuring the building is safe and the door access is used correctly.
All the staff I've come across have always been very polite to me and gave me answers to any questions I've asked. They've helped my daughter settle back in after Christmas.
In the time that I have sent my girls there they have developed so much, the learning they acquire through play and activities has been clearly thought about and delivered at a high level. It’s brilliant to go and pick them up and see what they have been up to with work coming home, photographs or stories about their day!
The children are cared for at a high level and their well being is important to the staff, if they have been poorly or emotional they have been supported and helped.
The food that is provided is exceptional and both children have enjoyed the home cooked food.
Overall, I think this is an outstanding nursery and I know that every day they have attended has been the best decision I made when choosing this nursery. Thank you, ladies, for all that you do!

The food that the children receive is lovely. Our son will generally have 2 portions of everything available at meal times. It is varied, nutritional and tasty - can't ask for more!

I love The Croft Nursery Newcastle! It truly feels like being part of a family & they treat my children as there own & I recommend them to anyone who wishes to know about, good, safe nurseries to take there child/children to. My children adore the staff & are no longer picky eaters ( at nursery) They eat everything put on their plates. I can't recommend the nursery enough.
We are really pleased with the standard of care that our child receives here. Staff are friendly and welcoming and we appreciate all their efforts that go into ensuring that a safe, calm environment is provided.
My little boy attended The Croft for 4years and I remained happy throughout. The staff were always very friendly and professional and did lots of lovely activities with the children. The staff were very well trained and carried out additional training for my son's medical needs. I would highly recommend The Croft to anyone.

Meet the Team (1)
I have worked at The Croft since November 1990, working with children of all ages. Over the years, I have progressed from nursery nurse to nursery manager and have had the pleasure of caring for a wide range of children and their families.
I manage an experienced management team plus nursery nurses who are all qualified. All the staff undertake additional training every 3 years, such as Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Safety.
The nursery employs a cook who provides a well-balanced diet on a day-to-day basis, using fresh meat, vegetables and fruit. All dietary requirements are catered for.
I am delighted the nursery has been rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in September 2023, so proud of all my hard-working staff!
