I can't rate Stepping Stones highly enough. My little boy has been attending since he was 9 months old and absolutely loves it there. He is now 2 and in the preschool room and the staff are always friendly and caring, they often take the children out for activities and he has really flourished there.

As a first-time mother I was very apprehensive about enrolling my daughter into a nursery setting as she was rarely left with any adults that aren't relatives. Stepping Stones Day Nursery have always gone above and beyond to settle any reservations and anxieties I've had as a new mum.
The staff have
always had my daughter's best interests at the heart of everything they do, whilst she's in their care and even when she's at home. if ever my daughter is poorly, a member of the team usually send a message on the app to check in on her which I really appreciate as it shows they really do care about the children in their care.
The communication is absolutely amazing and no request is too big or too small. The management is very knowledgeable and has a strong team providing superb care to the children. I couldn't appreciate them more and can't thank and recommend them enough. Thank you so much to everyone at Stepping Stones for welcoming us into your family!

My daughter has attended this nursery for just over a year and she absolutely loves it. The staff from the beginning have been fantastic - caring, welcoming and so attentive! My daughter's social and communication skills have come on so much since starting at Stepping Stones. I feel reassured leaving
her as I know she will have a fun-filled day with lots of activities and the best possible care. They also have an app which is a great way of communicating with the nursery and allowing parents to see exactly what their child has been up to throughout the day (with lots of photos which I love looking at). It also helps to keep track of developmental milestones and possible areas of improvement. Without a doubt, I would recommend this nursery - my daughter always happily runs straight in and leaves with the biggest smile on her face!

Both my sons attend Stepping Stones and have done since they were 11 months old. My eldest goes to school in September and will be gutted to leave nursery. He has seen some changes in staffing, but his key worker has remained consistent and she not only cares about him, but puts a smile on his face
every day. My youngest has been at Stepping Stones for almost a year now, and after a slow start, he now skips into nursery happily. His key worker has put in a massive amount of effort with him, supporting him with his speech and taking time helping him to nap which has been a big change for him! The staff team they have now are nurturing and caring, food is freshly cooked on site which we appreciate, and our boys are kept busy and stimulated all day long. We are lucky to have a small friendly nursery to look after them. Thank you to the manager and team.

We have two children who attend Stepping Stones, aged 3 and 2. They are both in the preschool room together and attend 3 full days a week. They both absolutely love it there and have settled in so quickly. The communication is amazing both on pick-ups and through the app. We receive daily updates of
what they have eaten, nappy changes, and all the activities they have done each day. They also take the children on outings like the local library and park! They send loads of photos every day through the app and update parents with regular newsletters! The staff are so lovely and welcoming and our children talk about them and all of their friends when they come home! Every morning they get so excited running into the nursery and are always so happy coming out and telling us all about their day! We appreciate the lovely staff so much for making great relationships with our children and taking such good care of them both. Highly recommended!

Slightly apprehensive about starting our 2-year-old daughter at a new nursery as she was so settled at her previous setting and isn’t a massive fan of change, but we needn’t worry! From her first day, the manager and the team (shout out to her key worker), she has loved every minute. We get daily updates
through the app to give us peace of mind, and she always comes home with a massive smile on her face. The team keeps us updated with her learning journey using the "birth to 5 matter", which helps us track her improvement and also allows us to try new things at home with her.
If you’re looking for a reliable team that values what they do and has the children’s best interests at the centre of everything they do, stop searching!

From the moment we called to the moment we stepped inside, the manager and her team made our daughter who is 2, my husband and I feel so very welcomed. They are a friendly, caring and professional team who really want the best for you and your family. Our daughter took to it straight away. Didn’t even
miss us. That’s how amazing they are. They give updates to ease your mind. Home-cooked meals, great learning activities and endless smiles from all the children you see under their care. Great nursery, our daughters raved about it.

My son has been coming to Stepping Stones since August 2023. I absolutely cannot fault them. He settled in really quickly and looks forward to coming in, even asking to go in on days he doesn’t usually attend! The staff are fantastic and really do go above and beyond for both the children and their
parents/carers. The communication is amazing, you get updates of what your child has done at the end of every day, showing the activities they’ve been doing and how it links to their learning. The progress my son has made in the 6 months he’s been there is insane. I 100% recommend Stepping Stones Nursery, and a massive thank you to all the staff there for being such wonderful people.

My daughter attends two days a week and loves to go back every week, talking about the staff and the children and the activities they have done. Feedback is great and we feel really reassured when leaving our daughter there that she is cared for as an individual and supported in every way. They go on
outings and always see a range of activities in our diaries. Staff are very friendly and attentive and children always seem to be having fun.

Our son has been at Stepping Stones since he was just under 1. We’ve seen him grow into a confident and friendly little boy, no doubt due to his time at nursery. His language and social skills have come on hugely in the last year. The staff are lovely, and because it’s a small nursery, we feel the children
get a lot of individual attention. The meals are all cooked on site and the children go on regular trips out to the library and park. He’s really enjoyed his time at Stepping Stones and it’s often very difficult to get him to leave when we pick him up in the evening!

My child has attended this nursery since she was 10 months old, she is now 33 months and of the 3 nurseries she attends (countryside living problems!) stepping stones offer the most. The children are regularly taken on little trips to the park/to feed the ducks/to the library. There is an on-site kitchen,
that has catered well for my child's gluten-free spell. The outside space is well equipped for all sorts of fun play as is the inside, with the displays being regularly updated. The app and verbal updates from staff are always warm and informative. After a positive change in ownership, the nursery had a tough spell with ill-fitting managers for a few months. However, the current manager is excellent with my ideal wishlist for a manager, with equal parts 'loving mum' and educator.
