RGS The Grange is an outstanding private nursery and prep school and an exceptional place to start a child’s educational journey. It is full of happy, confident children who are clearly inspired by a dedicated and nurturing team of staff, sharing a wonderful sense of community.

Children can join RGS The Grange nursery from the age of two. This is a magical age and the staff ensure that a little touch of magic is present in their learning every day! The youngest pupils join ‘Ladybirds’, move onto ‘Caterpillars’ and then into ‘Butterflies’, before turning five years of age.

RGS The Grange work closely with parents to build up a comprehensive and satisfying record of every child’s progress and achievements as they move towards the early learning goals. Nursery children have the added benefit of belonging to a larger school community and the advantages this offers. The excellent facilities and expertise of teachers on site, provide children with opportunities to enjoy music, art, dance, sports and explore outdoors in the fabulous Forest School.

Nutritious cooked lunches are prepared on-site each day, ensuring children enjoy a healthy and well-balanced diet. The Nursery is open 7.45am to 6pm and provides flexible sessions Monday to Friday.

Funding & Fees

  • For Nursery and Pre-School, the full-time termly charge is £4,392 (VAT exempt), and for those not attending full-time, the daily charge is £82.00 (7.45 am – 6.00 pm).

  • We offer between 15 and 30 hours funding through the Government Scheme for children aged 2+ until the term in which they turn 5. This support will reflect the prevailing Government regulations and is subject to a minimum of two days per week.

Our son started just after his second birthday at RGS The Grange. Initially, we were apprehensive for him to start nursery, but our fears were quickly put at ease. The facilities and range of activities such as cooking, music, french and balance bikes are fabulous. We have been especially pleased with
the time the children spend outdoors, including but not limited to their weekly Forest School sessions. The staff are all incredibly kind and experienced, they’ve helped our son feel really settled and cared for. His confidence and development have truly accelerated during his time at nursery.

Our daughter has really developed during her time at The Grange. It's a great mix of teaching indoors and out, and they make use of the extensive grounds. Teachers always come across as friendly, professional and dedicated to the children's education. On a practical note having a large private car park
means you never have to fight for a parking space in the morning and the children can walk into class in a safe environment.

Really pleased with The Grange Nursery and Pre-School. My daughter has been attending for nearly two years, and she is always happy to go in and really enjoys her time here. I was very anxious about sending my shy 2 year to nursery for the first time but received excellent settling-in, support and reassurance. My daughter loves attending 3 days each week, enjoys a wide range of activities whilst she is there

The setting is just wonderful. Caring staff group, superb facilities, great learning environment. The nursery is a big reason for us choosing to send our son all the way through RGS.

Our daughter has attended The Grange since she was two years old and we have seen her absolutely thrive. We are amazed with how much progress she has made with her speech and confidence. She is always so excited to go in each day and enjoys telling us what she has been up to.
It is great how structured
the day is with activities and we get updated a few times everyday as to what they have done. My daughter loves the outdoors, so it is great that this nursery does encourage the children to be outside every day.
It is evident that the staff really care about each child.

My son attends RGS The Grange Nursery 3 times a week and thoroughly enjoys the wonderful timetable that they put together for him. The staff work tirelessly to give the children the best possible opportunities for their age group. My favourite part of the day is seeing several posts on the app with
all of the activities that my child has been up to and seeing him with a huge smile on his face, is a wonderful feeling to have.
I would highly recommend this setting to any friends or family and can happily give them 5 stars. Well done RGS!

Lovely, welcoming nursery which our daughter has now settled into very well thanks to the care and attention of the staff. She has developed considerably since starting at the nursery and we can see all the varied outdoor and indoor activities she has taken part in during the day via an app.

RGS The Grange is a wonderful nursery and I would recommend it to any parent. My son has developed so much in confidence since attending, we never have any issues getting him into nursery in the morning, he happily walks in and has a great relationship with the staff who are welcoming and friendly.
The education my son receives is excellent, he has a love for learning at such a young age and I feel that RGS The Grange has helped to prepare him for school.
The nursery has a fantastic forest school which the children use regularly. They host regular stay-and-play sessions where parents and grandparents can come into the nursery, as well as lots of other events such as assemblies, sports days and Christmas Nativities.

RGS The Grange is a wonderful setting to learn and thrive in. There is lots of indoor and outdoor space and play areas.
