My daughter has really enjoyed her time at this nursery. There is a variety of activities for the children each day, and the homemade meals are absolutely brilliant. The staff are friendly and kind, and I have no worries when I am at work as I know my daughter is safe and happy.

We love this nursery.
Our daughter's difficulty settling because she'd never been away from us, the lady who collects the kids at the door - took the tears and tantrums in her stride. Her two key workers have such a brilliant relationship with her, and now she absolutely loves going to nursery. She
is developing so quickly now, and they are unlocking her potential. She comes home singing songs, dancing and always happy.
The report cards are useful, and all members of staff are friendly and open.
The site is secure, and we feel safe in the knowledge that they are doing the best for our little girl, and our next daughter will be joining her here too.

I am quite happy with YMCA @ Carter Green nursery overall. The staff are friendly and polite, including the manager. I would say a report cared would be nice just telling the parent what they had to eat, drink, wet or dry nappied and if they had a nap. So, we, as parents, don't feel rushed to asked
questions at the end of the day.

Since joining the YMCA day nursery, my daughter has developed in so many ways. She is more confident. She has a great relationship with all staff who are always approachable. Staff are always updating parents with activities/events that are happening at the nursery. My daughter has learnt so much over
the last year, she has the ability to recognise numbers and some letters. My daughter loves nursery here.

Extremely happy with YMCA. My child has been going for 2 years. He has picked up manners, ways of communicating. He loves being at YMCA, he has a bond with the staff. As a single mother, the safety of my son was important. YMCA have shown me that my child is safe there and no one could take my child
with all passing securely and speaking to me. Staff are lovely, understanding and caring towards parents and children. Not had one bad experience in 2 years.

My child has been going to this nursery since his first birthday, it took him a little time to get used to it but now he is very happy there. He enjoys the freedom of playing in the room and has become more confident in himself.

He started achieving a lot of milestones since he has been there and

that is all due to the staff. He enjoys all the meals provided and has made friends with the other children.

The room and office staff are all very approachable and friendly, you can talk to them regarding any issues and they will always resolve without hesitation.

My daughter attended full-time nursery from 2009-2013 and regularly attends the out of school clubs; when it’s half term. The staff are amazing and really care about each child in there care. When my daughter left full-time nursery to go to school she would always ask to go back. Now she is 8 and looks
forward to half term so she can go back there.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 18months old and with the help and teaching from all the staff involved, she is developing into a polite, clever, outgoing little girl. I am very happy with the decision I made to send my daughter here and have had no complaints in the running
of the place.

The management team are all wonderful and always go above and beyond to help you and I can't thank them enough on this. The facility itself is always kept nice and clean and the day to day running of the place is done very professionally and to a high standard. The nursery workers are all polite and helpful and are very efficient in the care of your child.

The nursery is always bright and colourful and it's nice to see your child's work on display in the building. The meals given to the children are always of a variety and due to this my daughter has started to eat a lot more at home and is less fussy. No complaints from me x

Since joining YMCA Nursery Carters Green, my son has developed in so many ways. He is more confident and balanced and looks forward to going every day. Very experienced teachers who are caring and professional and whom the children respond well to. The nursery itself is a fun and bright environment
and I think provides the backdrop for more effective learning.

Current Review Score: 8.0 (8.042)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (8.042) out of 10 for YMCA @ Carters Green is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.0 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for YMCA @ Carters Green is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.042 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for YMCA @ Carters Green is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 119 number of registered child places is 23.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 23.8 = 0.042
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
