The nursery has three large playrooms over two floors and follows the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

A B C offers parents a flexible and friendly childcare service, from a professional team who combine the benefits of an organised and secure setting, with fun and stimulating play in a learning environment which children can develop in a positive manner.

Staff are pleased to discuss parents' concerns with them and look to provide an open service based around developing each child's potential, health and well-being.

    Funding only sessions with no charges are limited children who have non working codes, or a golden ticket and depending on circumstances

  • We offer 15/30 hour sessions from 9mths, 2, 3 and 4 year olds, parents must obtain codes from childcare choices before any fees can be reduced
    Funding is offered as a stretched package unless you are using it for sessional or term time only. Although these places are limited

My children have thrived here. Staff are warm, loving and genuinely delight in the children. They go above and beyond and individuality is valued and celebrated. They work really hard to provide a stimulating and educational environment whilst embracing continuous provision, curiosity and play. I felt
like they really knew my children. Genuinely so sad that my era of nursery is over as ABC are a real staple of the community, but my girls have started school as happy, confident children who have been given the best start. Liz - manager - has always tried to accommodate individual circumstances and always goes above and beyond for her staff / the community. Can't rate them highly enough especially in a tough economic climate / chronic underfunding.

We cannot rate ABC highly enough. Our daughter has been there since she was 11months old and has recently started school. She was well prepared thanks to her experience at ABC.
The staff are wonderful, the experiences they get are fantastic and Liz always goes above and beyond to make sure parents
are involved and the children get wider experiences- for example a yearly Christmas party, a yearly community trip as well as disco duck, hands on animal experiences and in her last year my daughter learned Spanish through singing.
We are so pleased we chose ABC! Thank you!

After a bad experience with both a nursery and a childminder, I was hesitant to send my daughter to another nursery. After meeting the staff at ABC I was put at ease. My daughter has additional needs and the nursery has supported her through the last 2 years bringing on her speech and confidence. My
only regret is that I didn't send her there first.

I have two children and both attended this nursery 7 years apart. This nursery is outstanding. They go above and beyond for your children and both have been ready for school by the time they have finished- they both started at 9 months old up until just under 5 years old. They have been extremely well
looked after and have learned so much from their experiences and from the staff taking care of them. They have been taught, through play, all about numbers, shapes, and phonics- the nursery does its best to give children the best start in life and they ensure lots of fun is had too in all manner of different activities. Both my children have loved this nursery and have been very sad to leave.

ABC Nursery has been a complete God send.
My daughter has been going full time for over 3 years, since she the age of 1. They consistently deliver not only a wide range of activities but the staff’s care and patience have had such a wonderful influence on my little one. She loved the staff and ate
really well! Her communication skills, social skills, motor skills came on leaps and bounds. She’s made great friends and I trust the staff implicitly, it takes the weight out of leaving her in their care.
Not only are all her needs met, her behaviour improved, I felt really supported as a parent.
Extra parties and celebrations were organised, well over and above what you may expect, the care and generosity were overwhelming! Christmas parties, Easter celebrations, coronation tea party, just amazing!
Updates and photos via the online group are lovely, you’re made to feel part of their day- I’ll miss it so much now she’s moving on to school. They gave her such a lovely start - thank you!

Brilliant nursery! Sad one is leaving as know it’s been enjoyed since 9 months of age! Well looked after, activities given are fantastic! Accommodate different play outside for different weather! So much learning has come from here. All the rooms are lovely and food is enjoyed and plenty of choices

From the first day until the last day and all of the days during the Covid-19 pandemic, the management and staff at A B C Day Nursery went above and beyond to ensure that our little boy was made to feel welcome. He learnt so much during his time at A B C, and we were all so grateful for the friendships
that were forged.

I'm so pleased with my son's time at ABC nursery so far! His social skills have come on leaps and bounds, along with all the experiences he has gained alongside his peers which is difficult to offer at home. I was very nervous leaving my son at 8 months old in the care of another but the nursery were
absolutely wonderful in offering a settling in period before leaving him for a full day. The staff obviously care so much for the children and it is a lovely environment for the children too.

What a fantastic nursery A B C really is! My son has attended for over a year now and has come on leaps and bounds. My son really struggled with his speech when he first started, the staff have worked tirelessly with him to improve his speech and other things, and now he has a fantastic vocabulary and
is so much more confident. The staff are all lovely and welcoming, the whole place has a family feel to it and is a lovely safe and clean place for your child to grow up in. A B C is by far the best nursery around. If you’re looking at sending your child to nursery then definitely give the manager and the ladies at A B C a thought.

I have nothing but praise for the A B C Nursery. The staff are not only friendly and polite but very welcoming to new parents. It can be daunting leaving your child at such a young age (mine was nine months old) but they made us feel very comfortable and secure. The activities that the children do are
lovely, there are music lessons on a Monday that my son loves, along with lots of painting and creative activities. The outside garden area has recently been done out and the kids go out in it every day. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son has been in the nursery for a year, starting as a 2-year old. He had difficulty settling in but the ladies helped him considerably to feel welcome and safe. Eventually, he started loving it there and during the summer break holidays, he was asking several times when he could come back. Now as
a 3-year-old he enjoys it even more, although management could be more flexible with the hours offered. I do not like the system of 2.5 days a week. When I asked if this can be maintained, I was given an answer that yes but only if I want my 3-year-old to be staying with 2-year-olds :( not really a lot of choice. My second concern is TV and iPads. Are they really necessary for such small children? They have enough TV at home, I believe.


In spite of those two concerns, the staff is caring, kind and really dedicated. I always felt well-informed and most of all my son loves it. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

I definitely recommend A B C Day Nursery, I've had an older child and 8-month-old who is now 2, attend and both thrived in the setting.


I find the staff caring and approachable, I love the venue and think they've got it right with the different rooms and age groups.


The garden has just had a

refresh and is now an all year round space which is perfect.


Their daddy also attended the nursery 30 years ago and it's still run by the same family, proof that they're doing something very right.

Two of my children attended this nursery when we moved to Bearwood. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and made great connections with the children and their older sibling. They really took the time to treat each child as an individual. Having used other nurseries previously I can

I love this nursery and my son loves this nursery even though we have moved away from the area he still attends and won't be moving anytime soon! He is only 2 1/2 and his speech is amazing and has made so many good friends with the other children and staff I highly recommend this nursery.
