There is a stable management team in place which contributes to the consistent style of delivery.
The nursery/after school club are very flexible in accommodating additional sessions, even the little notice which shows that they work in partnership with parents.
If any concerns are raised them they
are followed through accordingly and efficiently.

Very pleased with the nursery, facilities and the staff. Always so accommodating, caring and approachable. My 3-year-old son has come along way with his learning and social skills and this is down to the care and commitment of the staff who treat him like an individual. Choosing this nursery after viewing
others was the best decision we made for my son and us, his parents.

Overall, I am very happy with the care/services provided by the nursery. My son enjoys his time there. He gets on very well with the staff. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The nursery is very flexible to meet our needs, for example, any changes in days of care. This is very helpful as both
myself and my husband work full time.

I am extremely overhelmed, impressed, proud and satisfied with Tommies Childcare being my son's primary carer until now.
They have done an amazing job helping me with my son's education, growth and development.
Every day my son came home he always had something new to share that he learnt at nursery.
The nursery are very organised, trustworthy, respectful, patient and understanding. Most of all they are very loving, tender and caring with my son.
I am happy and proud to have given him the chance to experience his toddler to preschool stages here.

The manager and her team have been brilliant, looking after my daughter. It started in the baby room when she was 18months old and then toddler room where it continued in a lovely friendly manner.
We feel our daughter has come on load and is well equipped to start nursery in September.
Thanks to
the staff in the preschool room.
Thank you all so much for everything.

My son has been attending Tommies in Holbrooks for 6 months and after a bit of a tearful period he now really loves it. The staff really take care of the children and are very helpful and supportive (especially with potty training!). My son is particularly fond of the deputy manager and one other member
of staff and gets really excited when he sees them. I would happily recommend this nursery to other parents.

My child loves attending nursery. Her key worker is very attentive and has worked with us to help her to settle.
The activities that they do are always well planned and child led. The outside space is small but very well stocked with resources and is bright and colourful. The staff met and discuss
our child's progress at parents evening.
My child has grown in confidence and has made many new friends since she started.

My little boy has been at Tommies Children's Centre for 5 months now and my return to work could not have been easier. The staff are very kind and caring and we felt very welcome right from his induction. He loves going to nursery every day as he enjoys the different activities they do and the interaction
he experiences from the other children and staff. The facilities are very good and the nursery is always clean. The staff are always looking out for his well-being and know his characteristics well enough to know when he is not feeling himself. It really feels like he has an extension to his family and I would recommend Tommies Children Centre to other families.

Our child has been at Tommies since 5 months old, He seems to really enjoy nursery and has become confident around other children. The team encourage his interests and find activities that he will enjoy. He is now about to go into the older group and we have had lots of communication through his key
worker and feel more confident that he will settle and enjoy himself.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.963) out of 10 for Four Brooks Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.963 for Four Brooks Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (336 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 348 Ratings = 4.963
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Four Brooks Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 84 number of registered child places is 16.8, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
