Victoria Nursery

Hello, my name is Abbie, and I started out at the nursery in 2017 as a level 3 apprentice and am now a fully qualified level 3 practitioner. The environment at the nursery is very lovely, the nursery has a homely atmosphere, and we are all one big family. We work together and support each other.

During my time at the nursery, I have worked in all rooms with all different age groups, and currently I am working in Little Bears II room - with children aged 2-3 years old.

Throughout my time at the nursery, I have built my confidence, enhanced my knowledge and gained new skills, which have led me to my role as a deputy manager.

I love working here, and I can see myself working here for a long time.

Hey, I'm Alice. I've been working with children for 3 years and have been a member of this nursery since March 2024!

I am currently based in Little Bears 1 and love being able to work with the team in helping the children grow into the beautiful people they are.

I love working here and love being able to spend my days with such lovely and welcoming staff who work alongside me.

I love working with young children, especially toddlers, as they develop confidence, independence, and early communication skills. Engaging children in creative play, sensory activities, and outdoor learning makes every day exciting. Victoria Nursery has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I feel lucky to be part of such a caring team. Building strong relationships with children and families is important to me. I look forward to helping each child reach their full potential.

My name is Carrie Anne, and I have been working at Victoria Nursery for over 20 years! In my time here, I have worked in all the rooms, and currently, I am based in our lovely Cabin, which is a standalone classroom for our youngest children. I love working in this room and watching our oldest children grow in confidence and achieve their goals, especially as they are preparing for school and developing more and more independence.

The team at Victoria Nursery is like a tightly knit family with everyone working together and supporting each other. Working in such a lovely environment has enabled me to develop my skills as a practitioner and further my career. I have completed level 2 and level 3 NVQs in Childcare and Education, as well as a Level 3 in Management, which helped me progress into my role as a third in charge in the nursery. I also work as one of the nursery's Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators and support children and families alongside other professionals.

I love working in a team that truly supports each child’s unique learning journey. Watching children grow, develop, and reach new milestones is the most rewarding part of my job. Victoria Nursery is such a welcoming and positive environment, making it a great place to work. I enjoy creating activities that engage and excite young minds. My name is Dovile (Dolly), and I have been working at Victoria Nursery since February 2021.
I have over 13 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, supporting children and families in a variety of situations. I have also worked on quality support throughout my career and have taken part in various projects of new practice development with universities.

I have a BA Hons in Early Childhood Education and Care and an MA in Education. My main passions in my early years were behaviour development, language development and outdoor play. I love allowing children to explore and develop their ideas.

I love working at Victoria nursery, the team are very supportive and friendly and are experts in their field. My own little one attends Victoria nursery, and I could not have asked for a more supportive and experienced practitioner to look after her.

After volunteering at Victoria Nursery for a year, I was thrilled to officially join the team. I create a warm and nurturing environment for children to explore and grow. I am passionate about early years education and love helping children build confidence and independence. Victoria Nursery has a strong family atmosphere, and I feel lucky to be part of it. My name is Gemma, and I have been working at Victoria Nursery since August 2023. Since joining, I have loved introducing and developing Forest School, creating opportunities for children to explore nature, take risks, and build confidence in an outdoor learning environment. It has been amazing to see my colleagues embrace Forest School with such enthusiasm, making it a valuable part of our nursery experience.

I am based in Big Bears and love every minute of working with our oldest children as they grow, develop independence, and prepare for their next big step into school. Watching them gain confidence, problem-solve, and develop resilience through hands-on learning is incredibly rewarding. I am passionate about outdoor education, and I truly believe that nature provides some of the best learning experiences for young minds.

My name is Georgina and I joined the team at Victoria Nursery in 2016 as an apprentice nursery nurse. Within my time here, I have become a qualified childcare practitioner and have experienced working with all age groups.

I am based in the baby room and I enjoy encouraging the babies to explore new things. The team at Victoria are really nice and it is like a family here, we all look out for each other and really want the best for all of the children we look after. I couldn't think of a better nursery to work at, so glad I started my nursery journey at Victoria.

With many years of experience working in both schools and nurseries, I have supported children across different stages of their early education. I particularly enjoy working with babies and preschool-aged children, watching them reach milestones and develop independence. No two days are ever the same, which is what I love most about my role! Victoria Nursery is a warm and welcoming place, and I feel grateful to be part of this amazing team. Working with children brings so much joy to my day.

I started on a level 2 apprenticeship and I qualified, meaning I’m a level 3 apprentice now!

I am based in Little Bears one currently and love the creative freedom we are given here, I love helping shape little minds with my colleagues, and the teamwork we have is great! This nursery has shown me how to be the best practitioner I can be, supporting my passion for childcare.

Hi, my name is Lucy,
I started working at Victoria Nursery in February 2020. I moved to Birmingham away from my home, and when I arrived at Victoria Nursery, I felt so welcomed by all the friendly staff.

Victoria nursery has such a wonderful, homely feeling. I have worked here for over a year now and really enjoy my job. I have a level 2 & 3 Childcare qualifications, an understanding of autism certificate, I am also first aid trained and do frequent online training to help improve my practice.

I have worked in a nursery setting for over 5 years and have worked with different age ranges from 7 weeks to 5 years. My experience has been running a playgroup alongside parents and also working as a third-in-charge. I really enjoy working with younger children as I’m very bubbly and like to have fun. I currently work in Little Bears 1, which has become my favourite room as I really enjoy watching the children develop from babies into confident children and move into Little Bears 2.

I am happy I chose Victoria nursery and can see myself working here for a long time.
