I cannot speak more highly of this nursery, the curriculum and activities they have in place has supported my child and helped her grow her understanding on subjects she would have otherwise not known. The kindness of staff has seen my child go from strength to strength and her confidence is at an all
time high. They post regularly on the app to keep you informed so you can see what your child has been up to, what they have eaten and how much, have they had a nap, etc. as well as keeping you informed of any upcoming events. They are always on hand to support you with things such as potty training and have a large outdoor area where your child can explore. They have a chef onsite who will cater to any dietary requirements, the facilities are clean and well looked after and all staff we came into contact with were friendly and supportive.

My little boy really struggled to settle in previous nurseries, and even though he only started here at the beginning of the month , he has already made positive relationships with staff, especially his key person Courtney. Although still in the settling in process, I have no doubt he will thrive in
this nursery. The girls and management have made the transition so easy for us both, thank you all!

My two children have been attending busy bees over the period of the last 4 years. My children really enjoy all the activities and learning they do when there. Theu often come home excited to tell.me what they have done. The staff are all lovely and very attentive to their needs. One of my children
has been put on a SEN pathway. The staff were quick to pick up on this and have given excellent support before my child starts school. Communication has also been brilliant in regards to this. I now have another child who I will happily send to this nursery.

Our child's time at busy bees has been great. The range of activities and learning segments are fantastic giving the children a balanced development plan.
Communication is another strength with regular updates via the app, and updates on the child's achieved milestones.

My son has been attending since he was 13 months old and has built stable relationships with all staff. You can clearly see all staff/ practitioners who work with the children know the children very well and all of the activities are very engaging my son loves to come to nursery. The senco at this nursery
has gone above and beyond helping him with his development getting him the correct support he needs for a successful happy future and also has great knowledge I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone it is very inclusive with all different types of children.

I met one staff member in particular and gave me a tour upon inquiring and answered all my questions . I was actually so hesitant to put my 8 months old baby into nursery but since I have to go back to work I had no choice. She assured me that my baby will be safe and will settle eventually. Her first
settling session was amazing. It was an hour with my baby and the team. Two staff members in particular were amazing. The manager as well is very helpful and nice. I had a talk with her about the funding session and she explained it to me briefly. I am so confident putting the safety of my baby with Busy Bees Sutton Coldfield.

My son has been coming to Busy Bees since he was 10 months old. He had a fantastic relationship with his key worker who went above and beyond to create activities based around his interest. It is clear all of the staff take the time to get to know the children and the new manager has a clear vision
around creating a safe, happy space for children. We are always kept up to date with pictures and updates throughout the day. As a parent it has been lovely to attend stay and plays, Mother's Day lunches and other events which the nursery have run. My son has flourished and grown in confidence from attending nursery and loves all the topic days and especially special visits such as the animal man. My son particularly enjoys his meals and has a lovely relationship with the cook at the nursery who provides healthy home cooked meals. Overall, we have been very happy with our time at Busy bees.

My child has started at this nursery a year ago, under different management. The staff was always great and helpful, my child was amazingly cared for and he has developed a lot. I would not change it for anything in the world. My son is happy and thriving here and everything from activities to meals,
naps and development strategies are amazing. I cannot recommend it enough.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees since July last year and she loves going. She gets on really well with all the staff and other children at the nursery. She has started talking more using proper words and enjoys all activities there. As her mama, it’s a great relief knowing she enjoys it there
and all the staff are just amazing with her. The communication with the staff is amazing and they are always there to help out with any queries or questions I have. Thank you to everyone there for giving my daughter an enjoyable experience, especially in these difficult times. Well done and keep up the fantastic work.

Very large turn around of staff, no familiar faces, no consistency, it appears all the long-standing staff left due to new management which I feel speaks volumes. Since this there has been no arts and crafts returning home such as new year calendar or Valentine’s cards which in the past has always been
a wonderful token to bring home, I also feel this has affected my daughter as she doesn’t have a consistent key worker or anyone who regularly updates me on her progress. She no longer talks about favourable staff members which I think is a sad shame. Something has gone very wrong with the staffing which I think needs addressing.

My son has attended the baby room at Playtime for the last 8 months. He has been very happy there and for an active little toddler, there are plenty of activities to keep him entertained all day. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, particularly in the baby and toddler rooms. After a recent
takeover, the nursery has seen some changes but I particularly like how they are trying to get parents more involved with a Ladies Night fundraiser and a World Cup sweepstake.

My daughter (under one) has been attending Playtime Nursery for the past few months and has really enjoyed her time at nursery so far.
The baby room staff are excellent and give lots of care and attention to every baby/toddler. They have varied daily activities and lots of sensory toys, books and
play equipment.
Playtime is a safe nursery to help nurture babies, toddlers and children and my little one has loved making friends at Playtime.

We have been so happy with this nursery throughout our sons time here. The staff are fantastic. They are always friendly and approachable and they always give lots of feedback about our child's progression.
The nursery is always well presented and clean and there are lots of resources for the children
to use.
Our little one can sometimes find it hard to be left but the staff are always so welcoming to him and he really enjoys his time there. He has made lots of friends and his time in preschool is really helping to prepare him for starting school in September.

My son has attended the nursery for over 3 years and has moved through every room in the nursery. I have been impressed with Playtime at every stage of his transition. The staff are warm and friendly as well as professional. They are passionate and caring and my son has absolutely enjoyed his time there
and as a working mum, it is a huge relief to know he is in such a supportive and caring environment.

The nursery itself is well presented, clean and tidy. The outdoor space is good.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.672)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.672) out of 10 for Busy Bees Sutton Coldfield is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.815 for Busy Bees Sutton Coldfield is calculated as follows: ( (90 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.815
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.857 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Sutton Coldfield is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 47 number of registered child places is 9.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.4 = 0.957
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
