a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.
If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

We felt that we had to let you know our feelings and thoughts regarding our son and his time spent at your nursery in Rubery.
Well, we were thinking this will be the hardest thing to write, as frankly, he is who he is due to our skill (luck!) and your wonderful nursery!
He has been with you since he was a babe in arms, we talked often as to whether we were doing the right thing for him, and how this would affect him as he grew.
We had nothing to worry about, he loved his days at the nursery and has developed into a wonderfully bright, sensitive and caring little boy, yes we had a part to play in this, but so did your staff.
He has been fortunate to have some special role-models, who have cared for him and seen him grow into the special little boy he now is.
We would like to thank you from the very bottom of our hearts for making our little boy as important to you, as he is to us.
Thank you so much.
How likely would you be to recommend Lilliput Day Nursery? Extremely Likely
Alison Lane, director at Lilliput Day Nursery responded to this review on 22 Aug 2017:
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We all love receiving such positive comments from our families. Our staff team were over the moon to hear such lovely things about them. They all work so hard and come up with some lovely ideas for the children. To see your son thrive at nursery with the support and encouragement from our practitioners and our partnership and support with yourselves has been a pleasure for us all.
I’m sure I can say on everyone's behalf we will miss you all and wish your son all the very best at big school. He is going to do fantastic there.

Job Title: Director
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse (NNEB) with more than 23 years of childcare experience. I have worked for both the private sector and Birmingham Social Services gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with a wide diversity of children and their families. Since 1999 I worked in the Early Years Department of New College in Bromsgrove and Redditch as an early years Trainer. I was involved in teaching and training future nursery nurses in NVQs and Diploma in childcare.
In 2005 I opened the first Lilliput Day Nursery in Rubery followed by Lilliput Day Nursery in Kings Heath in 2010. It was my aim to be able to offer good quality childcare that I would be happy for my children to attend. I am the Director of these nurseries and have a Manager in each one but I am a very visible presence within the nurseries and can be found at either one of them. I am a hands on owner and have a lot of input in what happens within the nurseries to ensure they continue to meet the high standards I would expect for my children.
Job Title: Nursery Manager
Hi my name is Charlotte.
I am a level 3 qualified nursery nurse with 19 years of experience in childcare. Nine of which have been as part of a management team. I joined Lilliput Day Nursery in June 2010 as Deputy Manager at the Kings Heath nursery. I then moved to the Rubery nursery in September 2010 after being promoted to manager. Being nursery manager many challenges but it is also a very rewarding role. I love watching the children enjoy the experiences we offer here at Lilliput and seeing them grow and develop. I also get a lot of satisfaction from building relationships with the many children and their families that come here.
Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager
Hi my name is Laura.
I am a qualified nursery nurse and have 10 years’ experience in childcare. I joined Lilliput in 2005 as a newly qualified nursery nurse. I have worked in both of our nurseries working my way up from nursery nurse, Room Leader, Senior Nursery Nurse and to where I am now as Deputy Manager at our Rubery nursery. As well as my deputy role I am Little Learners room Leader which are the 2-3 year olds. Working with children and their families is what I love to do. It gives me a great sense of achievement watching them learn and grow each day. I pride myself on being approachable and having great people skills which allows me to form good relationships with parents and carers.
