George Perkins Day Nursery is wonderful. The level of care, the imagination and kindness of the staff and the communication between key workers and parents is excellent. The nursery is located in a large house; the baby and seedling rooms are fairly small and the sapling rooms are more spacious, which nicely reflects the needs of children at different stages. The nursery has a personal approach to day care and have impressed us with their attention to each child's individual needs at their varying ages. It is also very creative about making learning and personal development fun. They have a large outdoor space where the children are encouraged to be active, to help grow flowers and plants, to get messy and to play with their wonderful (and safe) new water pulley system. The food served for meals and snacks is healthy, varied and nutritionally well balanced. Having a child at George Perkins makes you feel like part of a family and I can't thank them enough for looking after our child so well.

This is a wonderful nursery where children receive excellent care and superb opportunities which provide them with solid foundations for their education. Staff are knowledgeable, caring and approachable, genuinely care for the children and make children feel safe and happy. Staff focus on children’s social and emotional development as well as developing their basic skills being led by children’s interests. The nursery works hard to involve parents and are committed to teaching children about healthy living. The space is in a large house and feels homely and the outdoor area is brilliant and gives children amazing opportunities for exploring.

The staff are all lovely and really passionate about expanding their knowledge regarding how children learn and develop. This is fed back to us through parents evening which I find really interesting.

Our daughter started nursery for the first time at George Perkins nursery. It was a fantastic experience. We have a sensitive little one who is highly attached to her parents. The staff were very understanding and caring towards her. In a matter of months, she went from "crying" to "can't wait to get to nursery". She loves it there.

When my daughter used to attend this nursery she received a lot of support. It does not matter whether your concern is small or big, directly related to your child or just a general enquiry, whether your child is in full-time care or only uses funded hours - the staff will do their absolute best to help and accommodate your needs.

In my daughter's case, they really put effort into helping her to come out of her shell (she was a very shy child) and to start eating a variety of foods (she was a very fussy eater). Now my son is attending George Perkins and he is extremely happy there.

They focus a lot on healthy life choices, such as food and exercises, nurturing parent-child relationships and developing practical life skills through various real-life experiences. Their manager is a very hands-on person, who takes the time to get to know all their children. She has created an outstanding team!
