Kids Planet George Perkins

My son has been attending George Perkins since October and I have noticed such a huge progress in his development already. He loves attending nursery and I am kept updated with his experience/play through the app. The staff are absolutely welcoming, amazing and formative when dropping/collecting my son. A team full of fantastic individuals!

I would recommend George Perkins in a heartbeat.

The staff at George Perkins have helped both of my girls settle in comfortably this year. They love the different activities on offer, themes of the week and especially the well-maintained outdoor area. They have both learned so much in the short time they have spent there and I could only imagine this developing more over time. We could not have chosen a better nursery!

Three of my children have attended this nursery. I love the friendly homely nurturing atmosphere the staff create as you walk in through the door, management team are excellent and always willing to help. My youngest is being taken care of by staff that were at the nursery when my eldest was there 14 years ago! I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

The nursery have always been great and provided a lot of support with the transition of having a new sibling in the family. The staff are welcoming, friendly and nurturing. They show genuine care for the wellbeing of the children.

Our first experience was meeting the manager - she came across as earnest, sincere, organised and passionate. When we looked around the nursery, all the kids seemed happy to be there - and that was what made it stand out compared to others we had visited. Since joining our son loves going there. The staff are kind, friendly and caring and they treat each child as an individual. Thank you manager and team.

Fantastic staff who go above and beyond and my son absolutely loves going, so much so, he asks to go on weekends! It’s a very pleasant environment and you can feel the warmth of the staff who build great bonds with the children. The facilities and array of activities are great as they allow the children to gain and excel in skills.

Our son is always super excited in the morning to meet his friends and the lovely staff. Sometimes he wants to go there at the weekend.

A wonderful nursery full of caring staff who put children first. Our child is very happy there, developing a lot of key foundation abilities, and learning social skills. There are regular inclusive parent events so we can understand how learning and play take place. This can only happen with sensitive leadership. The nursery is flexible to our needs.

My child has been attending the nursery for the last 6 months. Without trying to be cliché sending him to George Perkins Kids Planet was the best thing we did! My child's confidence has grown massively! As any parent, I had some concerns on my child's speech development and made his key worker aware of this. With the staff's help, and my child's interaction with other children his speech has developed and improved immensely! Staff always make themselves available to answer any queries I may have and I'm regularly kept up to date with my child's daily progress via the app.

This nursery is outstanding in the truest sense of the word. My daughter has been here full time since she was 8 months old, and during all of that time her care has been outstanding. She runs to the door every morning with a grin , and every time I pick her up she is clearly having a marvellous time. The staff are incredible: they really treat the children with a sense of love and care and individuality. My daughter has been diagnosed with SEND while at the nursery, and the amazing SENCO and wider team supported us successfully to get an EHCP granted in time for her to be accepted to a special school with the reception intake. This is going to change the whole direction of our daughter's life and school experience for the better - and all down to the team here. The garden is an amazing resource - they are always out there having a great time. The manager really cares for staff well-being and professional growth and this shows in the commitment and happy ethos of the staff.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone, in fact, I have recommended the nursery to patients who have ultimately sent their children here and are also very happy! My daughter has attended since she was 11 months old and has had the most wonderful care over the last couple of years. Staff really take the time to get to know the children and adapt their care to support their progress. There are strong community values with opportunities to get involved at nursery such as with stay and plays or collecting for the local food bank. The staff are amazing and clearly love and care for the children. My little girl has been so happy here and I’m so thankful for everything that has been done to support her development.

The facilities are lovely, particularly the large garden, and the amount of time spent outside is brilliant. Meals and snacks are also well-balanced and the menu varied. We have very sadly had to move our two children due to change in location, but both have loved their time at George Perkins.

He enjoyed the story time, music and dance sessions. Good emphasis on healthy diet and yoga sessions.

My son was 15-months-old when he started nursery. Being born at the beginning of lockdown and only speaking Spanish made settling a challenge for us, for nursery and especially for him. After two months he is finally enjoying nursery. I could not have asked for better support from staff. They were patient and understanding, but most of all they respected his timing, allowing him to process the separation from us and to build trust in them. Thank you so much!

George Perkins nursery is just great. I cannot recommend it enough. It is run with care, kindness and creates magical learning opportunities for the children every day. I wish this was a standard for nursery child care but my personal experience has shown this is not the case. Do not hesitate to send your child here.

This nursery is absolutely wonderful, my son settled in so quickly due to all the support and care he received from the staff. The children are involved in a great mix of activities and their outdoor area is one of the main reasons we enrolled him here. The nursery is passionate about children playing and learning outdoors and of course, the trips to the local park are great. The staff have been great and his key worker has really taken the time to get to know him and help him develop. I love the app which is used to update parents with photos of the children, details on the activities they took part in and general nursery information for parents. The nursery really tries to get parents involved which is lovely. Overall I'm so happy with this setting and look forward to my daughter joining next year.

We think George Perkins Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. Very caring staff with a low turnover - our child has had consistent keyworkers since the beginning. The outdoor space is really special, and the children are outside pretty much every day, in all weathers, which is one of the main reasons we chose it. There are lots of opportunities for parents to be part of the community with activities in nursery hours and also sometimes at weekends, with special events. The daily updates via the Famly app are a lovely way to be kept informed, and it's two-way, with parents being able to easily share information about their child's weekend. Communication is really good. The food looks great. Staff are very caring and attuned. We've remained impressed ever since our child started there 14 months ago. Can't really fault it!

We’ve felt a part of the community from the start at George Perkins. The nursery put so much time and care into the children’s activities and our daughter’s learning has progressed so quickly. They are all welcoming and approachable staff who clearly care about every child. We couldn’t be happier with our experience as a family. We’ve been very impressed and glad we went with our initial instincts after our tour!
