Fox Hollies Nursery, in Birmingham, is run by the Pre-school Learning Alliance and provides a fun, stimulating approach to early years education. The nursery offers 50 Ofsted-registered places for children aged from birth to five years old.
The nursery has a strong reputation for a friendly, secure approach to early years learning. Professionals are trained to support all key areas of the EYFS, helping new skills and interests develop while maintaining a secure, healthy environment and supporting good nutrition.
The nursery is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and three staff training days. Parents are encouraged to become involved in nursery life.

Refundable Deposit
The nursery does not charge a registration fee. However, families who are paying fees are required to pay a deposit to secure their child's place. This deposit is fully refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice, provided the required notice period has been given and all terms of the agreement have been met. Full details of the deposit and notice requirements will be provided during the enrolment process to ensure complete transparency and peace of mind for families.

We are so happy with the care and support my child has received at this nursery. The progress she has made since starting has been amazing, and I truly believe the nursery has played a huge part in her development. They have been incredibly supportive with potty training, we were actually surprised how fast our child has learned about it, making the process much easier for both my child and our family. I've also seen a big improvement in her confidence. She is now much more comfortable making friends, approaching other children in the playground so they can play together.
The staff are caring, patient, and we feel that they are invested in each child's development as they inform us when they observe development with our child. I always feel reassured knowing she is in such a safe, nurturing, and positive environment. I highly recommend Fox Hollies to any parent looking for a place where their child can learn and grow.

Fox Hollies Nursery is an amazing nursery with so much to offer children in their early years. My son absolutely loved his time there, and we've had such a positive experience. The staff are caring, supportive, and dedicated, and the SENCO has been absolutely amazing, providing good support and making sure my son had everything he needed to thrive.

This is my daughter's third year at the nursery, and our experience has been consistently excellent. She absolutely loves going to nursery, has made many friends and her time there has greatly helped to build her confidence. The staff are professional, caring and very engaging with both my daughter and us as parents, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. They are attentive to her individual needs and actively support her development, regularly sharing helpful ideas and guidance on how we can continue learning at home and prepare her for reception.
Communication is always clear and reassuring and it is evident that the staff genuinely care about the children's wellbeing and progress. Overall, we are extremely happy with the care, support, and education provided and would highly recommend this nursery to other families.

Staff at Fox Hollies Nursery are amazing - every single one. There is excellent communication to parents/carers via the app with updates throughout the day on what your child has eaten, when they've been changed, slept etc. They also share photos and videos of what your child has been up to. Every member of staff is caring, calm, kind and friendly to all the children, helping them to settle easily. They have so many activities with a clean and spacious setting. Their playground is huge too, plenty of space to run around and play games, with things to climb on, ride bikes, outdoor toys and more. There's even an eco-garden too. They have a very secure setting too, with 1 external and 1 internal door that is locked unless they buzz you in.
Its a very warm, welcoming and friendly place and I am so glad my child attends Fox Hollies Nursery.

My overall experience with the nursery has been very positive. The staff are kind and caring, and my child is always happy to attend. I also appreciate the app, which keeps me updated on what my child has eaten, nappy changes, and even shares pictures and videos of their activities.
I do have a couple of suggestions. When contacting parents, it would feel more personal to say, "Hi, is that (child's name mom)?" rather than using the parents first names. Additionally, I'm unsure how birthdays are celebrated, as nothing has been shared. At my child's previous nursery, birthdays were a special occasion: the birthday child would sit on a decorated chair with a crown or hat while everyone sang "Happy Birthday," and the parents would receive a photo. They also gave a book as a gift for birthdays and graduations.

Very pleasant environment, nice calming music as soon as you enter the nursery setting. The building is very secure as the nursery is situated at the back of a shared building. The staff are very caring and communicative. Both of our children love going to nursery and they talk about their day in the nursery when they get home, they talk nicely about the staff which means that they bond well. Both of our children eat at nursery more than they would eat at home which I find great that they are being motivated by staff and the presence of other children.

Fox Hollies is a good day nursery, it's nice I get to see what my child eats throughout the day, from time to time the teachers upload pictures of the activities they have done, and you have a great eco-garden which I know my child loves. The teachers are all very friendly and helpful and when asked about my child's performance that day, are always informative and are able to provide an update. What I would like to see more of is what educational activities they do during the day (i.e drawing, painting, numbers or even playing with toys). It would be nice if they have done a drawing that day for them to bring it home and explain to me what they have done or made.
I understand the day nursery is very busy, but I think the flexibility could be improved on (I.e being able to swap days in advance or have an additional day).
