Cotton Tails Day Nursery provides private day care for children 0-5 years old. The nursery is open Mon – Fri, 7.30am - 6pm, 52 weeks of the year excluding bank holidays.

Cotton Tails has been rated OUTSTANDING in its last three Ofsted reports. Staff pride themselves on providing a caring and safe environment that treats every child as an individual, balancing play and learning and helping them to develop to their full potential.

Cotton Tails Nursery has been open since August 1996, originally a much smaller premises, but with the demand of the childcare sector Cotton Tails has grown over the past years. In January 2013, it opened its doors to a whole new wing, now complete with extensive bright and vibrant rooms having everything available for both child and nursery practitioner.

Cotton Tails is renowned for its close parent partnership making care a complete circle, with the child in the centre.

My grandson is always settled happy and smiling when I pick him up. He tells me about his day at Cotton Tails and his friends, what he has done and what he has eaten. The contact with his key worker is good.

Amazing nursery! I could not say a bad word about it. The staff are really nice and polite too. The activities the staff do with the children are really good and my daughter gets so much out of them. She only started nursery in February and her speech and confidence have improved incredibly. I cannot

Cotton Tails is an excellent nursery. At the end of each day when I pick my child up the staff inform me about every detail of her day. The staff are very caring and I feel very confident that they provide excellent care for my daughter. The variety of activities provided each day is excellent and the

My son was at Cotton Tails from 10months old and left the summer he turned 4 to start Reception. He absolutely loved nursery - it was battle to get him out of there at pick up time.
I cannot fault the staff, their friendliness, enthusiasm and professionalism. I love the fact that all the staff know
the names of all the children (regardless of whether they teach them) and they always greet the children with a smile and a hello.
Lovely big, bright rooms with colourful displays and a huge variety of activities for the children to get involved in. The handover at pick up time was helpful and personal and a chance to have a quick chat with the staff about my son's day.
It was a sad day saying goodbye to everyone but my son and I have great memories of his time there.

My child left Cotton tails in the summer after attending for nearly three years. As soon as my daughter started I felt reassured that she was happy and was with caring and enthusiastic staff. She loved going to Cotton tails and enjoyed telling me about games she'd payed in the garden and activities
she'd been doing. It's also a great place for parent involvement, with the many workshops you can attend and Christmas parties. I would definitely recommend to others.

These girls were like a second mother to my child. Never a problem and my son learnt so much from 9 months through to the age of 4 years. If i have anymore children they will definitely go to Cotton Tails. Referred a few friends to and they were overjoyed with the service too and have sent all there

We have used this nursery for both of our children now and have been nothing but impressed. Fantastic building full of all the latest play and learn equipment/activities. Staff are great also and they really make your children feel welcome and create a very inviting atmosphere. Both my kids have become
way more confident since being part of cotton tails and also learn new things daily. Our oldest has now left for school but the youngest absolutely loves her days at nursery and it's never a problem dropping her off as the staff do more than enough to welcome her each morning. Fantastic nursery.

The staff at this Nursery gave my son the best possible start in life. They helped to shape him into the polite, happy, and joyful little boy that he is. He went there from 6 months old and enjoyed every minute.

A lovely nursery, exceptional care, clean, friendly and lovely general place. So many parent workshops take place, especially the Christmas open evening which is gorgeous and magical for the children.


My two boys have both attended this nursery and I wouldn't take them anywhere else I would highly

My daughter has been attending Cotton Tails since 2014 and she absolutely loves it here.
The staff are amazing especially the long standing staff who make you feel very welcome and comfortable.
The learning side of the nursery is exceptional ranging from different activities daily to excellent ICT
equipment.

A lovely nursery both my children are very happy here. Staff are helpful, friendly and sincere and I cannot praise them enough; a credit to the nursery.
Facilities are well maintained and up to date, it is always clean and tidy. Activities, trips and events are always well organised.

Michelle

Michelle Young

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2000

My name is Michelle Young, I am the manager at Cotton Tails Nursery. I have worked at Cotton Tails since June 2000 where I worked in the Pre-School room and then later worked in the Tinie Room which I thoroughly enjoyed.


I became the manager in 2009 which was a completely new role for me but I really enjoyed the challenge. During this time, I went on to complete my NVQ3 in Leadership and Management which has helped me in the role.


Over the years, I have grown to love my role as a manager, especially seeing all of the children grow and develop, then move on to big school.


One of my biggest aims as the manager was to maintain our OUTSTANDING Ofsted grade as it was my first Ofsted as a manager. This goal was achieved in March 2014 when we were rated OUTSTANDING for a second time. I am enjoying the challenge and enjoy working with a great team.
