Building Blocks Nursery - Handsworth Wood

The staff here are so wonderful and polite & my son loves it, highly recommend them to anyone looking to put their child in Nursery. They keep you updated via the app with all information which is really key,

We've had a fantastic experience with this nursery from the baby room through to the toddler class. The staff have always been caring, attentive, and supportive, making each transition between rooms feel smooth and reassuring. Our child has developed really well in confidence, communication, and independence, and it's been great to see how consistently the team work together across all stages to support their growth in a safe and engaging environment

Our son joined shortly after turning one, and we've been really happy with our experience so far. The staff are all genuinely kind and supportive, and it's clear they really care about the children. His key person has been especially great and has helped him settle in well.

Communication is excellent. The app gives regular updates on feeds, naps and changes, which is really reassuring, and we also get a good sense of the activities and learning happening throughout the day.

There's a real family feel to the nursery, but at the same time everything is well organised and professional. Since starting, we've seen a big boost in his confidence, especially with trying new foods and in his overall development.

We'd definitely recommend it and feel very grateful to have our son here.

My child loves the nursery especially with the new garden. She loves the staff and is always excited to go in. She is also content on collection. Overall very happy with the service provided and I love that my child feels happy and safe in her environment.

Building blocks is absolutely fantastic from baby room all the way through to pre-school. The leadership is fantastic, facilities great and the staff all wonderful. As a first time mum, this nursery has done everything possible to assure me and my baby of our choice. He has evolved so much since joining, in 6 months he has gone from sitting to crawling, cruising, walking, running and has become so independent and confident in exploring the world around him. Nothing is too little of a request from storing my breast milk to keeping track of my babies activities by fate. Very impressed with this place highly recommend it.

This is a great nursery. I highly recommend them. The care they give the children is exceptional. They are quick to respond to concerns, you can see what your child is up to on the app, and you get reports on your child's progress. Also, they are well equipped, it's clean and the kids go into the garden daily. Staff are very professional and friendly. I've had no anxiety leaving my only child in their care.

Brilliant nursery, great start to education and life for my two girls. Both my daughters have attended BB from age 1, they love attending and are always well looked after and happy. Staff and manager are brilliant, always happy to listen and help. Communication has always been great. All have always been supportive of my daughters' journeys and passionate about what they do. A lovely, calm nursery environment with plenty of opportunities to learn through imaginative play, sensory and messy play. Also, a lovely garden area.

The best choice I have made for my child is sending him to Building Blocks Nursery.

My son has attended the nursery for over 3 years and enjoys it. His development has come along well and he loves the staff at the nursery. The nursery is organised, clean and approachable. My youngest son has recently started nursery and the transition was well managed.

My son has suffered from skin problems since before attending, I asked the staff to apply some creams, and they were happy to do that. His communication and language skills have always been very high, and that is due to nursery. We do a lot at home but nothing as much as in the nursery. All the staff who have looked after both the kids have been very kind and very supportive. They have both learnt a lot and built lots of skills through their time there. The managers at the nursery are always supportive too. If I ever call to check if the kids are ok, she would be happy to speak to me and reassure me that they were fine.

I am very pleased with this nursery. All the staff are caring and kind. The children love going to nursery. I have had two of my children go to this nursery and both have become very confident. The staff really care for the children and always go beyond.

I have been with Building Blocks for years, my daughter attended and now my son attends too. Building Blocks is the best nursery! I have never had any issues with the nursery. My son loves being there and happily goes in. The nursery itself is very well maintained. The staff at Building Blocks are absolutely amazing. They are all very friendly, polite, caring and helpful. Even though we get the update on the nursery's app, staff always give verbal updates, which is very helpful as sometimes as a working parent I don't get time to check the app. It's always amazing walking in and seeing the breakfast ready and all the activities nicely laid out for the kids and then watching my son happily playing, dancing and singing rhymes at the end of the day. My son gets all the comfort he needs when he's upset or not feeling well, which I have witnessed with my own eyes. I can't thank the staff enough for all the love and care they provide to my son. Thank you so, so much, Building Blocks.

My son started in September 2022 and I can honestly say the staff are incredible with him. He struggles with being around other kids and certain noises, so it was a massive step for him to go there, but the staff have come up with little ways of making it easier on him and he loves it there. The communication between staff and parents is excellent, the nursery itself is the cleanest I've ever seen and the progress my son has made in the five months he's been there, is incredible. The SEN staff are amazing and so helpful with getting things put in place quickly and explaining any new developments/ keeping parents informed on any updates. He's gone from being very quiet and shy to vocalising a lot more, being bubbly and joins in on the activities they do. The food is healthy and a nice variety. As a mother, it was scary sending my son to people I don't know, but seeing how happy he is and how much progress he's made, definitely shows why we picked that nursery. Can't recommend them enough.

My daughter joined this nursery last year and since then I have seen her developing socially and intellectually. The staff at nursery are very caring and empathetic. Highly recommend this nursery to everyone.

Fantastic nursery. The staff are very friendly and very professional. The facilities are well kept, there are many varied activities for the children and the growth of the children is very obvious. My children have definitely benefited from attending.

Both my children came here and both had their hair combed when I didn’t get enough time, had breakfast even if they just missed the time, had everything from their key worker as they would from me. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. It’s sad to know It’s over. I’ve enjoyed picking my kids up here and having their reports. A big thank you to the commitment of the staff here and for making the kids of tomorrow.
