Building Blocks Nursery - Kingstanding

As the Managing Director, I work fulltime to oversee all three of the Building Blocks Nursery branches and work closely with the branch managers.

I have worked in private day care for over 28 years and feel passionately about ensuring the service we provide is of a high quality for all children and their families. I also feel strongly about ensuring our setting supports and develops the staff team to be the best practitioners they can be.

I have my NNEB diploma and a degree in early years childhood studies. I also have my level 5 management qualification and I am currently undertaking my NPQ in early years leadership.

Emma is one of our branch managers for the Kingstanding branch and has been in the manager's role for the last three years. She is a level 3 practitioner and is currently undertaking her NPQ in early years leadership.

Emma worked for Building Blocks for 11 years from 2006-2017 before exploring a new opportunity to work with children who had specific needs. She returned to Building Blocks in 2018 and quickly progressed into management which is a role in which she thrives.

Emma is also a strong advocate for the curiosity approach and she loves supporting her colleagues to provide the best learning opportunities for the children who she describes as the 'thinkers and doers' of the future.

Louise is one of our branch managers at the Kingstanding branch and has 20 years experience in the early years.

She joined our team as a deputy manager in 2016 and quickly worked her way up to nursery manager. Louise is a very practical manager and brings a lot of experience to our team.

Louise is a level 3 practitioner and has a real passion for staff and children's health and well-being.

Maria is a qualified level 3 practitioner with over 30 years experience of working with children. She has a lot of experience in supporting children with special educational needs and children who have anxiety and she supports and reassures them wonderfully.

Maria works extremely hard to ensure she meets all of the children's needs and interests and provides many wonderful experiences for the children on a daily basis.

Vicki is a level 3 practitioner with over 20 years of experience in early years.

She joined the Building Blocks team in 2018 as an early years practitioner and was promoted to baby room leader in January 2023.

Vicki is passionate about her role in early years and works really hard to ensure that the children's needs are met and that the baby room is offering a 'home from home' environment.

Stacey is a qualified level 3 practitioner with over 10 years of experience in early years.

She is one of our newest members of the team and has been with us since 2022. She has excellent relationships with the children and their families.

Stacey is a confident and happy practitioner who enjoys watching children grow and develop.

Lizzie is a level 5 early years practitioner with a foundation degree in Early Years who joined our team as a newly qualified practitioner in 2020.

She is very calm and approachable and enjoys helping children learn and develop. Lizzie enjoys positive relationships with children and their families.
