Building Blocks at Kingstanding provides a happy and safe environment for all children to play and learn in and takes great care in providing high standards of childcare and education for those aged from three months to five years.
Set in a large detached building, the nursery provides ample space for children to experience a variety of activities and explore the many facilities.
At the rear of the nursery there is a secure garden area, as well as a separate baby garden, music zone and outdoor reading area. There is also climbing equipment, outdoor sand play and a large play house.
Building Blocks Nursery has a wide range of qualified and experienced staff who are all either trained to NNEB/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or are working towards the qualification. The nursery prides itself on the number of senior staff who have Level 5 and 6 qualifications and work well to lead a happy team.
A varied two week menu has been carefully planned to ensure a balanced, nutritious diet for all children and any special dietary requirements can be catered for. Nappies are included in the nursery fees.

Very pleased overall. Staff are all nice and friendly and keep me up to date with my daughter's progress. Although she gets upset when I drop her off, she soon settles and is happy and full of smiles when I return to pick her up. Highly recommend.

We are on our accreditation journey with the curiosity approach so some areas of our environment are currently being reviewed to ensure that they create the awe and wonder that we want all of our children to experience at Building Blocks Nursery.

Staff have been extremely helpful and polite with the care provided to me and my daughter. They have always listened and provided with advice. I feel that we are part of a family and will be sad when my daughter leaves to go to big school.

Thank you for your feedback - we do pride ourselves on the interventions that we put in place around speech and language development. We currently have three trained Early Talk Boost trainers who do small group interventions with preschool children who need language support.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 3 months and has settled in brilliantly. All the staff are lovely, very friendly and professional. The communication between the staff and ourselves is excellent we are always given updates on her day.

Our staff take their role of key person very seriously and we work with children very closely to ensure their needs are met and that their development is progressing well.
Two of my children have attended this nursery and one is still presently attending. Both of my children have gained so much from this nursery. The staff are friendly, polite and very good with the children. My children have learnt so much phonics, counting, all about animals, writing their names....

Since my daughter attended in 2015, she has excelled in all areas of her progression. She loves her time at nursery and I have no worries when dropping her every day knowing she is going to have a fun-filled day and be well looked after.

My daughter started this nursery Oct 2016 and had enjoyed it very much, she's had her down days but the staff in the baby room are brilliant with her. My daughter has made lovely friends within the staff and other children, where she will ask for them by name. The staff have been supportive for me...
