A wonderful nursery provision with no faults. The staff go above and beyond and the communication with home is exceptional. I have been particularly impressed with the activities provided throughout the day and the food provided. My child has thrived in this setting and I would highly recommend it.

My daughter had been going to this nursery since she was 9 months old and I went back to work. From the beginning I had had nothing but a positive experience from start to finish. From the settling in days my daughter has not only been well looked after, feels safe but has come on leaps and bounds in
her development. Every single member of staff is amazing, friendly and an outstanding care provider. We are always updated on her days and how she is doing, have regular developmental reviews and lots of picture via the app used. I will be putting my next little one in this nursery and could not recommend it more. Absolutely nothing negative to say this nursery is amazing!

We cannot fault it here!

After having a really poor experience with another nursery, moving to Bridgwater college childcare centre we were anxious to say the least. However, we immediately felt welcomed, supported and at ease.

My daughter's confidence has grown so much since starting in September

2025 which has helped her development in so many areas, she has developed strong relationships with the staff who are all so caring and communicate every need.
Tears at drop off did not last long and it quickly passed, but even the times she did cry we were reassured with photos and updates of how she had settled after we left.

The centre itself has such a variety of learning opportunities and areas for different skills, my daughter loves the outside space!!

The staff really make everything possible for the children, showing up, being consistent and maintaining a good level of communication.

Would absolutely recommend this childcare centre to others!!

Both my children have attended this nursery and I have always been happy with the care they have received. They have a lovely outdoor area for the children to explore and amazing forest school classes which my child loves! All the staff are friendly and have good communication. They also plan lots of
daily activities like painting, dancing, play dough, role playing and so much more!

My little one has been at The Childcare Centre for a few months and they have been absolutely amazing. My little one found it tricky to settle initially and the staff were brilliant with giving her the time she needed and flexible with the amount of settling in sessions, which not only supported her
wellbeing, but also myself and partner as first time parents. When I drop off, there's always different activities out for the children and the staff are always so attentive and caring. We always get a handover at the end of the day and her learning and development is recorded on an app, which we can also contribute to. It makes my day when I see photos of what my little one has been up to! Partnership with parents is great, I really enjoy the stay and play sessions that the centre organises. I have no doubt that we have chosen the best early years setting for my little one and know she will continue to thrive throughout her time there.

My Daughter is a very shy little girl and I was very worried about her attending a Nursery. But the staff at Bridgwater college childcare centre, were so kind and helpful to me and my Daughter to settle her in and give her the time she needed to settle.
Her confidence has grown so much since being
here and she absolutely loves her time at the Nursery.
The activities they set up for them are so inviting and encourages so much learning while there playing.
The outside space is so good and they explore it in all weathers which I like.
And all the staff are so caring and treat the children like there own.

My little one has grown in confidence and ability since starting in October 2024. Bridgwater and Taunton College childcare centre offer a fantastic setting with convenient hours for working parents. The staff are amazing and treat the children like they are their own. I have no doubt that my little
one will continue to flourish with the help of the team at BTC childcare centre.

The childcare centre at Bridgwater & Taunton College is a fantastic setting with great staff. My eldest went from the time he was 1 right up to starting school and now my second child is in his 3rd year there.
The flexibility of being able to start and end the day at different times and book either
term time only or all year round is so beneficial compared to other childcare providers. It means as a parent you can choose what actually suits your family.
The huge draw to childcare centre for us as a family was the extensive outdoor area for the children to play in. Both my boys love doing Forrest school and it has been a highlight of their time at Bridgwater & Taunton College. I always recommend the childcare centre to friends who are pregnant/looking for childcare.

Overall, I find this nursery to be excellent in terms of care, activities, and engaging the children. I've noticed positive improvements in my daughter since she started attending. Every day, the key worker enthusiastically explains how she did that day.

I have had my child in the nursery since January this year.
They are a modern nursery and constantly change the activities they are doing with the children. Every time I walk in, they are doing something different.
The food options are brilliant, he eats better than I do. I feel it is reasonably
priced for what we get.
I took my child to this nursery because they did forest school and sensory play.
We love seeing the photos of my child each day on the app.
I love the fact that they have students there, with the children, who are really enthusiastic.
I also like the fact that they have dedicated staff, who do different roles.
We do wish that my child's key worker was there when we dropped him off and picked him up, but the staff try to keep us in the loop and we enjoy how they take care of him.

Cannot rate this nursery enough, they are fantastic and my son has got amazing relationships with the staff and other children. There is so much to do and I have never felt happier with the safety of my child. After looking at many options, this has definitely been the best place for him and any future
children we have.

I have two boys, both of which have attended/are attending the childcare setting.
My oldest started in 2018 at only 4 months old; they were fantastic with him and with me (I sobbed like a baby myself having to leave him). They kept me regularly updated on his progress through their app and I had photos
within minutes of leaving him, showing me how happy he was. I needed this and it put my mind at ease. He thrived and was ready for school, so much so that the school told me they were impressed with how independent he was. Whilst we encouraged a lot of this at home, nursery really did help.
My youngest is there currently and in his last year. He loves it and loves the staff. They have supported me through a lot as well and are there for everyone.
My youngest has started coming home singing phonics songs, telling me what each word starts with etc. He's ready for school now and, whilst I would like to take credit, I have to give it to the nursery.
Thank you!

Both of my children have been through the nursery, one is still there. I find it very inclusive to all children's needs. The staff go above and beyond to make sure every child has a positive experience every day. Lots of different activities and games, spending a lot of time outside, which the children
love. Forest school is much loved and well run. Making hot chocolate outside and feeding the robin is definitely a highlight. They deserve their outstanding Ofstead review, it's a brilliant nursery.

My elder daughter went to Bridgwater & Taunton College Childcare Centre, she thrived and was so happy there that when baby number 2 was on its way we got our place reserved.
There is 7 years between my youngest and eldest and the care and quality of service provided at Bridgwater & Taunton College
Childcare Centre has stayed ‘outstanding’.
My youngest started in December last year when she was just 9 months old, she loves her days at nursery and as a family, we love all the team at Bridgwater & Taunton College Childcare Centre.

Every member of staff has put 110% into my child learning, needs and care. I can honestly say my child would not have made the progress he has if he was anywhere else; they are also extremely considerate of myself and the rest of my family. The staff are always positive and smiling, and this really
has a massive impact on how my child settles.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.449) out of 10 for Bridgwater College Childcare Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Bridgwater College Childcare Centre is calculated as follows: ( (143 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 156 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.532 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bridgwater College Childcare Centre is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 92 number of registered child places is 18.4. 13 Positive Reviews ÷ 18.4 = 0.707
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
