Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown

My son has been very happy here over the last 3 years and jumps for joy on a nursery day. The children are often outside in the garden/forest areas. The menu is balanced and nutritious and a lot of effort goes into planning activities, display boards, crafts and annual celebration events. We are updated with a summary/photos on a daily basis giving us great peace of mind. The children are being prepared well for school and I am pleased there are educational elements to the day (eg. teaching counting, days of the week, the alphabet) and extra-curricular activities (eg. football, phonics). The preschool staff are brilliant and care for and know my little boy very well. One staff member in particular is the heart of the nursery and is adored by the children. There has been a good level of staff consistency in recent times enabling my son to form some lovely bonds. I appreciate the approach with behaviour and manners which my son hugely benefits from! He has made lots of friends and is really thriving here.

Interaction with children is good, there has been an issue with the door to explorers being left unlocked, which is not good and has been reported. The outside area is good for the children, which our daughters enjoyed.

Overall a fantastic welcoming setting. We couldn’t be happier to see our little one thriving while here.

This is an outstanding nursery! Handovers are very easy and prompt. I feel comfortable leaving my child at the nursery and have no complaints about anything. You get a real feeling of love and care for your child from all of them as he does for them, you can see the lovely relationships he has with the individual team members. The setting is perfect and homely. The staff and management are very friendly and supportive of any problems you may have.

Overall positive. Could do with encouraging children to take part in things a bit more. Friendly staff. Cleaning of my child could be better. Facilities good. Food good.

Sending your little one to a nursery is a very daunting experience, especially as a first-time mum. I had looked around several nurseries and none of them stood out as much as Little Trees Lansdown. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and smile from the staff. A member of staff showed us around the rooms and the facilities and both children and staff were happy. This was huge for me. I wanted my daughter to go from a loving home to a loving environment that would care for her and help her develop and grow. The space at the nursery was great, both indoor and outdoor. It was a no-brainer for us as a family. Since starting in September 2023, the team have helped her settle and her confidence is growing daily. The staff keep you informed of her day and are always so positive and bubbly when we see them at pick up and drop off. The manager and her team have a fantastic setup here at Lansdown and I can say nothing but praise and thanks for our experience. Thank you.

Our children have loved going which is always such a big positive. All staff friendly and positive and really family atmosphere. Also extra mention to the chef and catering team.

It would be great if the facilities outside could be given a refresh to come up to the standard of the other nurseries in the organisation.

My daughter has been coming to nursery since 7 months old, she has always enjoyed it here, made lots of friends, and is well looked after by all the staff, she eats well, and has learned so much since she has been here.

We have been using Little Trees since 2016 and have always been satisfied with the level of care both of our children have had. Staff build a great rapport with the kids and always have fun activities for them to do and plenty of outside time. We also had a good experience with adaptations and adjustments for settling with our SEN child.

My children have been attending Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown since 2019 and we are very happy with our experience here. They have both developed really well, with my son being very well prepared for starting school in 2021 and my daughter well on her way in the last few months of preschool. We particularly love the outdoor space.

Our daughter has been attending Little Trees for over 18 months now and absolutely loves it. The staff are caring and friendly and always put on fun and creative activities for the children. They’ve been very responsive to any needs that have come up and are very professional. I would highly recommend it.

I am so pleased with the care my son receives. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and I can see he has genuine bonds. It was an anxious time sending him to nursery but they made the process easy. He is so happy to go in the morning and happy when I collect him. I always get a full handover and updates in the day so I know how he’s been and what’s going on.

Our daughter loves Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown, we were worried if she would settle well as she is only going once a week but she loves it. We have a 15min drive and she chats all the way home about her day. The staff are lovely and care so well for her. She happily waves me off each day which is comforting. We get fantastic weekly observations, showing how important her development is to her key worker. We love the daily updates and pictures of what all the children have been up to for the day.

Our daughter has attended Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown since September 2022, she started just after turning 1. The staff are absolutely fantastic with her and helped her (and mine!) transition from home to nursery go as smoothly as possible. She asks for a cuddle as soon as she sees any of them and seems happy to be there! They are great at updating us through the app, we get plenty of photos and updates about her day, which is invaluable. Would 100% recommend Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown to other parents, especially anyone nervous about their baby starting nursery for the first time!

We’ve been nothing but impressed since our little boy started at Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown. Even from the early ‘Settling In’ sessions when he struggled to adjust, the team have given us nothing but confidence that he couldn’t be in a safer or more encouraging environment. Despite challenges with his sleeping and eating during the first few months, the team consistently kept us updated and were keen to catch up with us at the end of every day to discuss his progress and how they were constantly revisiting their approach to find what worked for him. We also had regular updates throughout the day thanks to the Famly app that they use to provide feedback on his development and share photos from the day’s activities. Thanks to all of the team’s efforts and patience he’s now fully settled in his nursery routine and we’re looking forward to how he continues to grow at Little Trees over the coming years.

Both my children have gone to Little Trees Day Nursery Lansdown since they were babies (one is now in pre-school and one is in toddlers) and have had a wonderful experience. It is a really caring environment and all the staff know all the children across the departments, which is lovely. They've really built up the confidence of my oldest child in particular and supported him when he was having difficulties. I love how much they prioritise outside play - they always get the children out as much as possible in the fantastic garden.

The office staff are brilliant too. Very flexible and accommodating and they know every single child.

This has been the same at every stage of nursery - The ladies in the baby department, and the rest of the team in the toddler department. I genuinely can't fault them and my child is learning a lot!
