Little Trees Lansdown offers a fun, safe and clean environment for children to play and learn.

Friendly, highly-skilled staff help children develop skills and confidence.

As well as a wide variety of activities available at the nursery there are also additional activities offered including specialist Music classes, fun French class and weekly swimming lessons along with other services such as professional photos and haircuts with an in-house hairdresser.

Menus are designed to offer a varied, nutritious and well-balanced diet, with food freshly prepared daily on site. Meat comes from local butchers and the children are offered the recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables each day.

Staff aim to introduce children to different tastes and textures whilst encouraging good manners and a happy atmosphere when children sit down for mealtimes. Staff are happy to discuss any special dietary requirements and cater to their needs.

Little Trees is a great nursery and has been the perfect place for our daughter to develop, grow, learn and have fun. The staff at Little Trees have genuine care for the children and build great relationships with them. I would happily recommend Little Trees to any parents trying to find a nursery for

The staff update you daily on the progress of the children. They go above and beyond to create engaging and interactive tasks that not only engage the toddlers, but also help to develop a wider array of skills. We love how much progress our little one has made here!

My daughter has made excellent progress at Little Trees and loves every day she spends there. The staff are attentive, patient and professional. My little girl's confidence has grown hugely during her time at Little Trees and we cannot thank the staff enough for this.

I am really pleased with how my daughter has progressed since attending Little Trees Lansown. The staff are always welcoming when dropping off and really informative about how her day's been when I collect her. The environment appears clean at all times and is a great space for her to learn and develop.
I can't thank the staff enough for how happy my daughter is on a daily basis, and to me that is the most important thing.

I cannot thank this team enough for their ongoing support in the development of my two and a half year old toddler. From the moment my friends suggested Dean's Close and to me having an interview to make sure it was a great fit, I absolutely knew I made the best decision. My daughter has ultimately

My daughter is happy at the nursery and her development has been aided by the activities and support provided by thr staff. The nursery provides a lot of additional activities to support phonics and sports. It's a shame these are not included in the overall nursery costs as part of the curriculum.

Our time at the nursery has been exceptional. In just a few months, our son, who just turned one, has blossomed, from mastering crawling on his first day to confidently taking his first steps. The bond he shares with his key worker is heartwarming, whilst he's happy to see us at pick-up, he never really
wants to leave! She is completely brilliant. The nursery accommodates his dietary needs perfectly and has supported him through cleft palate surgery recovery by working with his speech therapy book. It's a vibrant, welcoming environment with friendly staff, all of whom engage with our son daily. The facilities are spacious, activities creative, and they celebrate occasions enthusiastically. We love that the fun and key moments are captured in photos and videos and shared on the app. The weekly development updates, with reference to the curriculum, is brillant, as was parents' evening. Overall, the nursery has surpassed our expectations, and we're thrilled with our son's experience here.

My son has been very happy here over the last 3 years and jumps for joy on a nursery day. The children are often outside in the garden/forest areas. The menu is balanced and nutritious and a lot of effort goes into planning activities, display boards, crafts and annual celebration events. We are updated
with a summary/photos on a daily basis giving us great peace of mind. The children are being prepared well for school and I am pleased there are educational elements to the day (eg. teaching counting, days of the week, the alphabet) and extra-curricular activities (eg. football, phonics). The preschool staff are brilliant and care for and know my little boy very well. One staff member in particular is the heart of the nursery and is adored by the children. There has been a good level of staff consistency in recent times enabling my son to form some lovely bonds. I appreciate the approach with behaviour and manners which my son hugely benefits from! He has made lots of friends and is really thriving here.

Our daughter goes to the nursery full time and has built her confidence and skills up massively since beginning the nursery. The staff work so well with the parents and take on board what's going on at home so that both at nursery and at home is consistent.

Interaction with children is good, there has been an issue with the door to explorers being left unlocked, which is not good and has been reported. The outside area is good for the children, which our daughters enjoyed.

We are aware of the issue with the door, which has been reliant on parents alerting us when they are leaving, so the door can be secured from the inside. We have a locksmith coming out this week to fix this issue. In the interim, we are asking parents to exit through the main door.

Little Trees Lansdown is a welcoming and positive environment for children, my child has settled really well and has made good relationships with the staff. I am frequently being updated on his learning and development through observations and assessments. Communication is great and I will always get
a handover on how my child has been each day from sleep, food and nappy changes.
Management are great, supportive towards transitioning into nursery life and have excellent communication, not to mention friendly and welcoming.
Overall a fantastic welcoming setting. We couldn’t be happier to see our little one thriving while here.

This is an outstanding nursery! Handovers are very easy and prompt. I feel comfortable leaving my child at the nursery and have no complaints about anything. You get a real feeling of love and care for your child from all of them as he does for them, you can see the lovely relationships he has with
the individual team members. The setting is perfect and homely. The staff and management are very friendly and supportive of any problems you may have.

Vikki Gunn

Job Title: Little Trees Lansdown Nursery Manager

Vikki started her career back in 2006 as an unqualified practitioner but progressed quickly working towards gaining her NVQ 3, knowing she had chosen the right career path. Vikki started her Dean Close journey in 2021, beginning as preschool lead in Little Trees Hucclecote and then to Deputy Manager here at Lansdown.


Vikki thoroughly enjoys every single day and enjoys watching how the children learn and develop. It is truly wholesome watching the children go through their nursery life and then onto their next chapter. Children are incredible and it is truly rewarding to see them become independent, learn new skills and flourish. Working in a variety of different settings both in the public and private sector, has given her different experiences and opportunities.


To support her, Vikki has a highly qualified and experienced team. Her staff are dedicated to giving young children the care and attention they need to aid their social, emotional and intellectual development.


Our nursery workers are up to Level 5 qualified in Childcare and Education or are working towards or beyond this qualification. We offer training and continued professional development to all employees.


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All our employees undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. Every member of staff is trained in essential first aid and child protection, giving you added peace of mind.
