Little Trees Day Nursery Tutshill is passionate about early childhood education. They appreciate the unique needs of every child and offer a flexible learning environment that celebrates the many stages of children's development.

They are a modern, purpose-built nursery with bright and open learning environments and large outdoor areas. The nursery benefits from the fantastic facilities of an independent school, including the sports halls. The curriculum is complemented with a number of extra-curricular clubs, which include Physical Literacy and Dance/Ballet classes.

The Nursery holds a number of events throughout the year, such as Christmas concerts, graduation ceremonies, sports events and many more. Parents are welcomed into the nursery throughout the year and are kept up to date with their children's learning and development through online learning journals.

The large grounds surrounding the nursery ensure that children have plenty of space to be active outdoors and get lots of fresh air. Large, grassy areas are the perfect spots for running around, parachute play and group games. Secluded woodland areas are great for exploring nature, wildlife and den building. The gardening area is ideal for getting muddy, growing and harvesting plants, herbs and vegetables.

Lovely friendly nursery that my little boy absolutely loves. He's really developed since being there, he started when he turned 1 and loves the staff that work there. It's clean and tidy with lots for kids to do. Good value and have recommended it to other parents.

The staff at Little Trees Day Nursery Tutshill work so hard to ensure the nursery is a welcoming, fun and safe educational environment. We are always welcomed at the door with bright smiles and enthusiasm meaning children can't wait to get inside and explore the day's activities. The nursery is in a
lovely setting and we are lucky to have it on our doorstep. At pick-up time it is evident of the fun they have had throughout the day whether it be role-play, messy play, the sensory room or exploring outdoors. The app keeps us updated on meals eaten, nap times and provides photos and videos of the nursery day. This is backed-up by a handover chat with the child's key-worker at pick-up time. Both my son, and daughter before him, love attending Little Trees.

Little Trees Day Nursery Tutshill have been amazing with my little boy. He has the best time with all the lovely ladies in the team. He has come on leaps and bounds since he has started last January. They have helped him develop his speech and his independence and building his relationship with other
children. The nursery rooms are always clean and tidy with plenty of toys to keep him busy and always have fun activities though out the day. I love receiving updates of his day though the app and how all of his development is documented.

My 8-month-old has just started at the nursery and they have been fantastic! The staff are amazing with him and so welcoming! He gets excited when we walk in. He eats and sleeps well there which just shows how comfortable he is! Good range of food also which is important for him to try different things!

Our daughter absolutely loves attending nursery. She lists off all of the staff that she's going to see, and she obviously adores them. I really like the layout of the nursery, how the younger children are separate from the older children but they can still interact and so moving up to the 'big' room
isn't unfamiliar or moving too far away from familiar faces and surroundings. Her language and mobility have come on leaps and bounds, and the staff are obviously completely dedicated to the children.

A great nursery. Our son attended from 8 months to 4 years old and had an amazing time. The staff are kind and friendly. He adores them. They always have lots of fun and educational activities. They work with the parents to encourage developments such as walking, eating independently and potty training.
There are big outdoor areas with lots of toys and they go outside as often as they can. Being within a school, they have access to their facilities too (for example a big hall with soft play). Our 8-month-old daughter started a week ago and she's already settled and happy to be there.

Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending Little Trees Day Nursery Tutshill. The staff are incredibly welcoming and willing to listen, support and keep up to date with our daughter's needs. Our daughter was initially reluctant to go in and took a while to warm up to going to the nursery,
but she now runs in and loves all the staff there. We're kept up to date on the app and it's a great feeling to know our daughter is safe and happy with them.

My son has been really happy here since starting when he was 3. On visiting Little Trees Tutshill I was immediately struck by the lovely light, bright, clean facilities and the large sunny garden. He settled very quickly and has always been happy going in, a contract to his previous nursery experience.
The staff members are friendly and welcoming and provide a great variety of different activities for the children. The children have the opportunity to join classes run by external providers: Rugby Tots and Dance class, and because the nursery is in a school, the children have access to the school facilities too such as the school hall and regularly go there to run around and do soft play. I'm really happy that we moved him here.

My daughter loves going to nursery and has always taken part in stimulating activities. These range from sensory activities to physical activities outside and in the hall to activities to further develop her language skills.
Staff at the nursery are very communicative but above all they are so attentive
to individual needs. They know my daughter inside out and she only attends 2 days a week. When talking to staff it is clear that they love their job and the children they care for and they are so proud when our daughter does something new.

Both our boys have attended Little Trees from a very young age and have been so happy here.
The staff are very friendly and attentive and always set up a wide range of activities to educate and entertain the children.
The outside spaces are fantastic and well equipped, a firm favourite with our boys!
And on rainy days the soft play in the hall is great fun! Our youngest is also loving his weekly dance classes.
The manager and the whole team work so hard and have been amazing at keeping the nursery running at such a high standard.
We would highly recommend the nursery as it’s a wonderful setting and they have helped our boys to flourish.

My two daughters attended the nursery until July 2023 and we had a wonderful experience as a family. My son is so well cared for at Hedgehogs. He’s been at the nursery since he was one and I’m always left impressed by how warm the staff are and how above and beyond the girls go for the children. My son really struggled to settle after lockdown but the girls were so calm, patient and loving with him.
He absolutely adores the staff who work in his room, they set up the most wonderful activities for the children which are always very engaging. It is clear by the videos they send that the staff are very thoughtful in their interactions with the children, I love the way they question the children to foster that curiosity in their play. Thanks for everything you do for the children.

We could not be happier with the provision, care and facilities at Hedgehog’s Nursery. Our 20 month old son thoroughly enjoys his days here, and always runs in with a smile on his face. This is testament to the hard work and genuine care that all of the staff show towards him, and it is clear to see
from the pictures and videos that our son is happy when in their care. There is always such a broad and varied range of activities available for the children to participate in, and we like the fact that the staff plan activities based on the children’s interests. The children really benefit from the amazing grounds and outdoor space of St John’s on the Hill school. Highly recommend!

Welcome!


My name is Vicki and I am the Deputy Manager here at Little Trees Tutshill.


I started my journey in Early Years in 2011 after completing a degree in Primary Teaching at the University. Since then, I have progressed within different settings from Nursery Assistant to Team Leader and to Deputy Manager.


Working in childcare is extremely rewarding. What I enjoy most about my job is building strong relationships with both the children and the parents, in order to support the children on their journey to reach their full potential, before they go to School.


Our mission here at Little Trees is simple: to create a loving, nurturing and safe environment where every child feels cherished and supported, enabling unique talents to blossom and thrive.


The name Little Trees embodies our philosophy. Just like young trees, we aim to give all our children deep roots, fostering a sense of security and belonging, while also encouraging them to reach for the sky with their branches, by exploring, learning and growing each day.


Every child is unique, and our nursery offers a relaxed, safe and structured atmosphere, where children are provided with a plethora of experiences and wonderful opportunities, allowing them to hone their skills and understand their individual passions.


To support me here at Little Trees Tutshill, I have a highly qualified and experienced team. My team are dedicated to giving young children the care and attention they need to aid their social, emotional and intellectual development. Our nursery workers are up to Level 5 qualified in Childcare and Education, with some currently working towards or beyond this qualification. We also have three Primary Teachers working within our team, myself included. Dean Close Little Trees offer training and continued professional development to all employees, supporting them in progressing within their career and helping to develop each staff member's understanding and skills in key areas of childcare, including Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety and children's development.


Here at Little Trees Tutshill, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. Our employees undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service before starting their employment with us. Once recruited, each member of staff is trained in Child Protection and First Aid, giving you added peace of mind.
