We are incredibly grateful to all the staff at nursery for the care, patience, and support they have given to Rayan and Sadaf. The team has played a very important role in Rayan's development and always showed understanding towards his additional needs. We truly appreciate the kindness, hard work, and dedication from everyone, and we will always be thankful for the positive impact you have had on our children and family. Thank you
I cannot recommend Rainbow Day Nursery enough! I have two children here and they are happy, settled and absolutely love attending the nursery each week. Every member of staff is warm, welcoming, caring, enthusiastic and professional. I can go to work knowing my children are cared for to a very high standard. The food is also fantastic - homemade and nutritional. I'll be very sad when my children leave to move on to infant school.
Our daughter has now been going to the nursery for 4 months and we couldn't be happier. All the staff are friendly and we feel that our daughter's care is of upmost importance to them. She is thriving at Rainbows Day Nursery and is always coming home having learnt something new.
I have two children attending Rainbow in the baby and toddler room. They both enjoy a wide variety of activities, cooked meals and have made some lovely friends. The absolute best thing is the staff, they are all so kind, gentle and fun. My toddler genuinely loves going so much she talks about it all the time she isn't there and wants to play it pretend at home! My youngest has severe eczema and also peanut and dairy allergies and the staff have been brilliant at reassuring me with this and applying her creams. It really is a home away from home and I know they are in excellent care while I'm at work.
I love hearing about her day from the staff and it's so nice to know she's being well cared for , it definitely makes my working days easier
Thank you for always putting Laylas needs first
I have sent both my boys to rainbows nursery and they have always been amazing. Staff are brilliant with the children, always very well looked after with lots of different activities, always having a good time my little boy can't wait for his nursery days, he loves it. I will be sad when my youngest leaves the setting this year to start school.
Really love the nursery & the quality of care & attention they give to my baby. My eldest was here for 4 years & the staff are just wonderful! Really grateful for the whole team there. Thanks so much!
My first child went to rainbow nursery 5 years ago and has special needs, they were so good with him and helped me massively with toilet training and sign language which he picked up really well, great SEND placement for children. Now my second child has been going there since September and it is still an amazing nursery. Staff are lovely and easy to talk to, very clean and well maintained. Also great that they are open 51 weeks of the year, very happy with the care both of my children have experienced!
From our very first visit right through to now, the experience has been nothing short of outstanding.
The team have been amazing in supporting my daughter through her settling-in period and throughout her time at nursery so far.
We had to delay her start date due to unforeseen circumstances, and they were so understanding and supportive.
They are kind, caring, patient and attentive. Leaving my daughter in their care was a big step for me, but they made me feel completely comfortable and reassured I had chosen the best nursery.
Since starting, I have seen incredible development, she's learning, growing, and her personality is really shining through.
I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough. We feel so lucky to be part of this nursery.
Rainbow nursery is the absolute best. My two boys love attending and sometimes even want to go on days off. The staff are lovely and my boys adore them. They can't stop talking about them and I feel like they love and cherish my boys just as I do.
The nursery really puts thought in to each and every day, planning one activity after another to keep the kids entertained and learning. The boys have learnt so so much during their time there and continue to do so every day.
I am so happy with this nursery. My son is so happy to go in every day and has been going since he was 9 months old is now 21 months ths old. His development improved so much since going to nursery and the things he is bringing home is so impressive. He is so happy with the staff and it is lovely to see. They know my son so well and he is treated with love and care like an individual.
The staff are wonderful and my child has a brilliant time there. I feel very confident leaving her in such capable and kind hands! They do plenty of varied activities and spend much time in the garden which I appreciate. The staff give a detailed handover at the end of the day and my child comes home with many arts and crafts which she's very proud of. My youngest child will be joining in the summer and I'm looking forward to seeing her thrive in the setting.
Thank you to all the staff, you are absolutely incredible and we are very grateful we chose you to be such a big part of this chapter of our son's life.
My daughter has attended Rainbow Nursery since September 2024 and has come so far with all her development. Excellent staff who really do care for the children. My daughter loves attending 4 days a week and I have no concerns what so ever.
It was a daunting feeling sending our child to nursery just coming out of the COVID pandemic, and having to decide somewhat quickly when other arrangements with grandparents would not work. Our child also has a severe peanut allergy. Despite this, everyone at Rainbow have been amazing at putting our minds at ease, especially the rigorousness of their allergy training / policy. Although we did not originally think we would be sending our child to nursery, we've come to realise how incredibly valuable the time spent at Rainbow has been for our child to develop, becoming the confident and caring person they are now, making friends along the way, and having tremendous amounts of fun.
My twins started their journey at Rainbows at 13 months old, and they're about to begin their transition to primary school. Rainbows has become a huge part of their early years life, and the girls are very sad to leave. The staff and management are so much more than that, treating each child like their own. The bond between the staff and my twins is second to none, like many others there. Between the staff, children and parents, we are all a part of one family. I dread their last day coming up, as my girls are going to miss it so much. The nursery keep you informed daily, calling with any issues and always putting everyone's health & safety as priority. They strive to treat each child as an individual, offering solutions to maintain the best care and to help each child thrive. They don't treat you like a parent, but more so a team mate, working together. Their activities are endless, with a great choice of meals and snacks. I will always be glad I chose this setting to start their journey.
My child has been attending Rainbow and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff are warm, attentive, and always go above and beyond to make the children feel welcome and safe. Communication with parents is excellent, and it's clear how much effort they put into planning activities that help the children learn and grow. Thank you all staff.
Rainbow day nursery is excellent, I couldn't have ask for better for my son. I was so nervous about my son starting nursery and rainbow have eased that with every way possible. They have been so supportive and their communication is top level. My son has extra needs and they have accommodated to these needs excellently and I am more than happy with their service and they way they are with my son, he has excelled whilst being with rainbow and I am so happy to continue to see his journey with them. My son will continue with them until he goes to school. Brilliant nursery cannot recommend enough.
My child started Rainbows when he was 16 months old and loved it from day one! The staff are lovely, helpful and really care for the children. I couldn't fault them. I have now signed up for my next baby to come as I know they will be in safe hands! Many thanks.
Our son has been attending this nursery since he was 10 months old, and it's been such an incredible journey. As he prepares to leave this month to start school, we can't help but reflect on how much he has grown during his time here. The staff are truly exceptional, always bringing out the best in every child. Our son was very shy at first, but with their support, he has blossomed into a confident, outgoing boy. The relationships he has developed with both staff and his peers have been amazing to watch. His personality and sense of humour have truly flourished, and it's been a delight to see. We're so grateful for everything this nursery has done for him and will miss it dearly!

My name is Gillian, I founded Rainbow Day Nursery School in September 1985 following a career in nursing and teaching, and Rainbow opened one day following my eldest Grandson’s second Birthday! Over the years Rainbow has grown like “Topsy”. Initially, we were registered for 20 children aged 2-5 years old, we then extended and increased to 30 children. In 1993 I moved out of my flat and the “Cherubs” unit was formed providing 15 places for babies. In 2000 I was lucky to win a “Sealed Bid” and purchase the WRVS premises! This provided an area for the Pre-school Explorers and a second large garden. We are now registered for 65 children. During the years my youngest daughter and eldest son have both worked at Rainbow I am now working with my youngest Grandson and enjoying the experience!
My name is Gerry, and I am the Finance Director. I joined Rainbow in 2004 after a career in Business Management. I was employed as the Business Manager and took over this role from my mother who remained in the business as an advisor.
In 2008 we formed a limited company with Gillian and me as Directors. My youngest son joined the business in 2019 when we worked closely together until his appointment as Business Manager in 2020 when he took over the daily running of the Business and I now support him from a more remote position. My wife Naomi has worked at Rainbow since 2001 and is qualified as a Nursery Practitioner level 3. My wife and I have just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Naomi had a 10-year-old daughter when we married, and we have two sons. We have two granddaughters, one of whom is an apprentice at the Nursery, we also have two young Grandsons, the eldest is enjoying his time at Rainbow. The baby will follow shortly.
My name is Su and I am the Operations Director of the Nursery. My role includes overseeing the Compliance for the setting and I am the Nominated Person for Ofsted. I started my career (many years ago) as a Registered Nurse and then went on to become an Early Years Practitioner after having my children. My passion is Speech and Language and for a number of years, I ran my own Baby Signing company, teaching parents/carers and pre-verbal babies to use Sign Language as a way to communicate.
Since qualifying as an Early Years Practitioner, I have been involved in setting up a number of nurseries in the South of England and helping them to obtain their Good or Outstanding ratings with Ofsted. I am also heavily involved in a charity that helps the homeless and local families who are in need of assistance. In my spare time, I can usually be found walking the family Weimaraner dog on the beach or in the New Forest.
My name is Edward, I joined Rainbow Day Nursery School in 2019 to assist my father, in developing the Business. In October 2020, I became the Business Manager. I work closely with the Nursery Manager and Directors; we have formed an effective working partnership supporting all aspects of Rainbow’s business.
I studied Business and Management at university; however, I am also fortunate to have my grandmother, Gillian, fully committed to the business and giving me much support as well as my father. I also enjoyed my own early years at Rainbow along with my brother, cousins, and nieces, and we all have many happy childhood memories of the setting. Rainbow has always played an enormous part in our lives.
My name is Sam and I am the Nursery Manager. I joined Rainbow in 2022 as I wanted to be involved in a more home away from home, family-oriented setting, with my own daughter due and on the way at the time. I have worked in childcare for around 10 years after starting my apprenticeship at 21 and worked my way up to management roles.
During this time, I have worked in different settings, assisting them to get Good or Outstanding ratings from Ofsted. I have also worked with many outside agencies and alongside BCP. In my spare time, I am an England FA qualified Football Coach. I have coached all age ranges from under 5’s to under 13’s, 14’s and 15’s. I am now currently Manager of and coaching a Men’s team, where I am also signed as a player.
My name is Nat, I am one of the team leaders and Special educational needs Coordinator (SENDCo.) I have worked in childcare settings for 15 years. I started off my career in childcare at Rainbow back in 2007 where I completed my level 2 & 3 qualifications in childcare and education as well as my SENDCo training.
I then had the opportunity to join a cruise ship working with young children. Following my return, I have worked in different settings with various roles including working as a 1:1 support worker helping families and practitioners to support children with different additional needs, such as Autism, global development delay and speech and language delays. I am passionate about my job and really enjoy being able to share my knowledge and experiences with my colleagues and families to help further support children’s learning and development.
