Such a tremendous nursery. Amazing, patient and kind teachers and teachers is the right word. My daughter was very happy there for over two years and the focus was always on learning, teaching her to do several new things rather than playing with toys/pacifying the children. Whereas some nurseries can be glorified childcare, she developed in a way she wouldn’t have done unless she was provided with this great environment in which to thrive. Could not recommend it higher.
I would like to highly recommend Bay Tree Montessori to everybody. My son spent there two fantastic years, he enjoyed every single day in the nursery and he made lots of friends. He learned a lot, each day was full of exciting activities and fun. The staff was very supportive and kind. My son does miss his nursery and all the fantastic people in there.
I chose this nursery due to the wonderful staff, lovely inside and outdoor area and the learning facilities there. The staff are very caring and were fantastic with my daughter. It is clean and organised and they do many fun and educational activities. I would highly recommend.
All of our children went to Bay Tree with currently the youngest started in Aug this year and she is doing great. I still remember the first time I entered Bay Tree and was amazed by how calm the environment was and how content the children seemed to be. All the teachers were lovely and attentive. Most importantly, they treat my children the way I would do myself at home - gentle, forgiving and lots of cuddles and guidance. There are no reward charts, no naughty steps, instead, there are lots of talking about their own feelings and role modelling. Children get to learn at their own pace and they make friends with different aged groups, which I think is very important especially for the younger ones. My youngest now often comes home and her clothes would have been changed multiple times during the short morning she stays there, which shows she was allowed to have fun (playing with water) and the staff was very caring. Thank you so much Bay Tree, you have been an important part of our lives!
Hands down one of our best decisions since becoming parents.
He loved it.
So many different activities and things to do.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to family and friends.
I would definitely recommend Bay Tree Montessori Nursery, it’s small, friendly and child lead. My son was extremely happy here. He has made some lovely friends that will be apart of his life for a long time to come.
We can see he has been learning a lot and his social skills and relationships with other kids and staff are great thanks to Montessori. The tapestry is an excellent way to check your child's development and to make any comments if you want to.
They picked up very early on that our son had special educational needs and have been so supportive and instrumental in putting is in contact with the paediatrician and speech and language therapist. They have also worked tirelessly to secure his funding. We are so very grateful. Our son absolutely adores nursery and as parents, we trust them 100% with our wonderful boy. Thank you to the whole team.
I could not ask for a better nursery my son was going to. He had such great teachers around him. They always had many interesting things to do. Even now, when my son started going to school, he still wants to come and visit the nursery during school holidays, enjoys memories. We love you Bay Tree Montessori !!! Thank you for everything.
I have one word, and that is Exceptional. My 3 year old son has been attending this setting for over six months and is thriving. The care and support he receives, both emotionally and educationally, is fantastic. He is a very well natured and caring little boy who loves to help his peers and friends but can also be extremely strong willed which I am not ashamed to admit I struggle with. With the support of the exceptional staff here, I am finding new ways of approaching this (as of course, I don't want to quash it, just direct it in the right way) and this has meant that our entire family life has been transformed. The structure is fantastic as each child has input into the day which leaves them feeling valued and appreciated. There is time for them to have one to one time with a teacher and also to be part of a group which definitely helps with their own concentration and also assists them in learning to share, take turns and be aware of others needs and feelings. My little boy loves it too.
The holistic approach and support to both parent and child goes beyond what can reasonably be expected from teachers or a nursery. And secondly goes over and above the criteria that I initially based my nursery search on. Whilst Bay Tree is mindful of “ticking all the boxes” set for nursery schools, the top level results are evident, what makes the nursery exceptional is the environment in which your child is taught. Descriptive words that come to mind are serene, kind, organic and safe. Over and above this, your child is directly exposed, on a daily basis, to sincerity, kindness, compassion, friendliness, mindfulness and perseverance, not only from verbal guidance but also by being exposed to the teachers who all have these traits. Everything a child is taught, every value that is instilled in a child, is so important in forming the person they become. If the aforementioned resonates with you, Bay Tree is the nursery for you, because the aforementioned resonates with them too.
The staff at Bay Tree are fab. My son is often upset when he is dropped off but the staff deal with it brilliantly and I know after a moment of distraction he has a brilliant day. The activities and resources he has access to are great for his learning and development.
Both our children (4.5 and 2.5) have attended this setting (the younger one still does) and we have nothing else but praise for the staff who work at this nursery. The staff are attentive, provide children with stimulating work, help them to deal with conflict and learn to become independent. Children can enjoy such activities as cooking, baking, making puddling pools in summer, tending to plants, music and crafts activities, scientific experiments, yoga and lots more. I have seen my children thrive, develop self-awareness and - most of all - love their teachers and their nursery. The manager has always been very helpful and always finds time to answer my questions and provide guidance. I highly recommend this setting.
The staff are friendly, warm, patient, and nurturing and I'm so grateful for everything this group of incredible women are doing for my daughter, helping to guide her on this stage of her journey through life.
Very well looked after children, treated as individuals, children can feel very confident in their area, management flexible for parents (if need to add an extra session on available time), all staff very welcoming.
My son's been attending Baytree for over a year and has had an excellent experience there. My son has autism and the nursery picked up on this within 2 weeks of him starting there. My son's SENCO and the management bend over backwards to make my son feel included and without them this journey with autism would have been a lot harder. My son is respected, loved and a valued member of the community there. Their professionalism and ability to go above and beyond is outstanding! Highly recommend!
The best thing about Bay Tree for me is staff! My son needed some time to get settled in the nursery in the beginning and the staff was so considerate to him and me, making the whole process as easy and quick as possible. I feel that they not only look after my child for these four hours but really care about his development and wellbeing, everyone always has time to tell me how is my son doing and what is new in his progress.
