Bay Tree Montessori has been providing a loving and nurturing environment for children since 2006. The nursery is a place where children aged 6 months to five can learn, grow, make friends and have fun.

With Outstanding Ofsted reports since 2009 (August 2022, June 2016, April 2009), the team have a proven record in providing exceptional quality of care and education for your child.

The Bay Tree team are qualified in Montessori early years teaching or Early Years Educators which enables them to support each child to develop their full potential. Staff at the nursery bond with families to ensure that each child's needs are met during their time at the nursery.

Children are treated as individuals, with their own ways of communicating and each with a different pace of growth in the numerous different areas that are required to grow into happy, confident and balanced people.

Funding & Fees

Bambini Room (6 months -2 Years) £85 a day (8am - 5pm) Including the food package. On funded days, there will be a charge for the food package of £5 per day. Children’s House (2, 3 and 4 year olds) £77 a day (8am - 5pm) Including the food package and additional services. Minimum of 2 full days per week. On funded days, there will be a charge for the food package and additional services. Please contact the nursery for a tailored quote. Please contact the nursery for half-day availability.

We cover all government funded children from 9 months to school age.

*A 25% discount is offered when taking out both the voluntary food package and additional services together. This 25% discount is then applied to the non-funded hourly fees (on funded days). she was 1 (she's nearly 4 now), and she absolutely loves it! The teachers are amazing - so caring and truly take the time to get to know and support each child.
My son, who is now 2, joined a year ago and he loves it just as much.
The nursery offers a great variety of activities every day, with lots
of fun and learning. They even bring in special experiences like Zoo Lab, which the kids are always so excited about!
The food is fresh and healthy, and I feel completely confident knowing my children are so well looked after.
We're really grateful - this nursery has played such an important role in both of their development, and we couldn't be happier!

Our daughter has been attending Bay Tree Nursery since April, and we truly couldn't be happier. I was quite sceptical about sending her so young she was only 13 months at the time and still breastfeeding-but from the very beginning, the staff made us feel completely supported and at ease.
They were
incredibly thoughtful and responsive to both her needs and ours as a family, which made the transition so much smoother than I expected.
We recently had her first review, and it was so heartwarming to see how well they understand and connect with her-almost exactly how we see her at home. That level of care and attention means everything to us.
She's already developed so much in a short space of time, and it's been beautiful to witness her growing with such nurturing support around her.
I would absolutely recommend Bay Tree Nursery to any parent-especially those who might feel nervous about the transition. Your child will be seen, supported, and loved here.

Our little one has been in the nursery for a few months now, and it's safe to say, he's happy there. He loves that place and he is loved too. All the staff are incredibly friendly, and communication is excellent. Any question I had was answered quickly, and any help I needed was provided as well. As
we were looking for a nursery that implements a Montessori method, we were so happy we had found Bay Tree Nursery and were able to place him there. Waiting time might be long, but we were lucky and got a space quickly, so definitely don't wait too long with the application, you won't regret it. Bay Tree is a beautiful place for children, and definitely boosts their development by doing so many different activities to keep them busy and entertained. I am only picking the little man up, but never had a problem finding parking nearby in the afternoon.

Bay Tree has been amazing for my son since starting almost a year ago. He was very young when he first started at nursery and was always given lots of attention and help. He has progressed amazingly since then and we love getting feedback each day when we pick him up. The staff are kind and always ready
to help with any concerns or questions we have. I would definitely recommend Bay Tree to anyone as we have loved it so far!

I cannot recommend Bay Tree enough. My daughter first went to this nursery just after lockdown and I wouldn't change a thing. They helped her grow into the most creative, free-spirited young lady and we will forever be grateful for everything they have done! We would highly recommend this nursery.

The staff at Baytree nursery are incredible. My son has possible autism/learning delays and struggles with social interaction. The staff made him feel comfortable and happy and encouraged him to interact and play. Because of this he has had an amazing 2 years and built some brilliant friendships with
both the staff and students. Any parent would be incredibly lucky for their child to attend Baytree!

Both my two little ones spent their pre school at this wonderful nursery. It felt like leaving them with family. The staff are very caring and the setting allows for your childs interests to lead their development. Both of my children did very well here and have transferred to school very easily. They're
both confident and doing well in the state system. A large part of this will be down to the love, support and guided learning they received whilst at Baytree. Highly recommended!

Started when we moved into town about 2-years, ago and found it by mistake, but they were so nice from the first day I walked in; it was and still is the best place for my daughter to be.
I highly recommend - great staff, lovely atmosphere, children made friends and learning a lot every day.

We moved our son to Bay Tree after having a bad experience with another nursery. It was the best decision we made moving him here. He has made so many friends and loves going. He now goes to nursery 4 days a week and loves every second of it.
He has been taught so many new skills and I love seeing
what he gets up to on the family app.
The staff are so kind and sweet. We really love Bay Tree and would thoroughly recommend it to everyone. My only wish is that they would accept children under 2. Then I could send my youngest there now because they are so good!!

Our son joined Bay Tree shortly after he was 2 years old. He settled very quickly making fast friends with the other children and enjoying the amazing support from the Bay Tree team. Over the last 3 years through the guidance of nursery, he has developed independence skills (washing up, baking, toileting
to name a few). His confidence has grown in the nurturing child-led environment and we have been absolutely delighted with his progress particularly some of the more academic activities he has done as he neared school age. I would not hesitate to recommend Bay Tree to other parents as having tried a few childcare settings it really is the best!

Best nursery in town without a doubt!
My both daughters attend Bay Tree Montessori nursery.
The staff is professional and the standards are really high for the care of our children.
My daughters through the years had an excellent time with the staff there, lots of memories with different activities,
early learning skills, cooking, dancing, yoga in the garden… absolutely outstanding nursery.
I could not be more thankful to the team looking after my daughters.

I would like to recommend Bay Tree Montessori to everyone. We visited several nurseries before, but we decided on Bay Tree Montessori because we liked the place very much. It is a very child-friendly place where they have the opportunity to develop their individual skills. Teachers are very friendly,

My son attended Bay Tree Montessori Nursery for just under two years, only leaving when he started school. From the moment he started, I felt like we were both warmly welcomed and cared for by all of the staff. He enjoyed his time there immensely, making numerous friends whilst gaining invaluable life
skills. The focus is not just on the traditional numeracy/literacy skills, but on ensuring children are well-rounded individuals on social and emotional levels too. He particularly enjoyed access to the outside spaces whenever he needed, and participating in cooking and preparing snacks for the nursery. He has thrived there and has become a very confident, independent boy ready for the changes that come with starting school. I would recommend Bay Tree 100%, and would not send my younger child anywhere else.

Our experience of the nursery has been fantastic and we would definitely recommend to others. My son left this nursery in June 2019. He told me a few days ago that he likes his school but he misses the nursery. He spent a really good time there.

My Sons time at Baytree was the best. From the moment he started at 2 and a half I loved Montessori and the kind and patient manner of all staff.
I felt at home and so did my son very quickly.
My son was so well cared for. He loved all his teachers and enjoyed science, french, art amongst many other
things. I will miss Christmas parties and many other occasions.
Highly recommend sending your small people to Baytree. Our Son left at 5 and we don’t regret our decision for further time there at all.

Such a tremendous nursery. Amazing, patient and kind teachers and teachers is the right word. My daughter was very happy there for over two years and the focus was always on learning, teaching her to do several new things rather than playing with toys/pacifying the children. Whereas some nurseries can
be glorified childcare, she developed in a way she wouldn’t have done unless she was provided with this great environment in which to thrive. Could not recommend it higher.
