Watcombe Children's Centre Nursery

Watcombe is a fantastic nursery! We looked at many across the bay before choosing Watcombe. They have a huge inspiring outdoor space. It’s a wonderful environment, their policies and procedures are spot on. But, above all, their staff are incredible! It is everything you could want in a nursery.

Both my children have attended Watcombe Nursery from before they were one year of age and they have been more than looked after. The staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much to ask of them when it comes to looking after my children, they are an extended family to us and the children are always so happy to attend.

Such a fantastic nursery! Both my sons have been at this nursery since 11-months-old, with my youngest just about to leave. Having looked around several other nurseries in the bay, none other could compete with this one. The garden and outside space is amazing and means the children are able to play outside all year round. The staff have always been really attentive, helpful and supportive. Both my children have loved their time here, having formed special friendships as well as a worth of knowledge of the subject areas needed to prepare them for school.

I am extremely happy with how the staff at this nursery have paid attention to my preferences when looking after my child. He has got through a temporary period of separation anxiety very easily because of how comfortable he is with his keyworker and other staff members. Other nurseries I've seen have limited space for babies but here, babies can move freely without the worry of objects being in the way. Overall, I am very happy with how my baby is developing, thanks to the care staff at this nursery.

The level of care at Watcombe Children's Centre is outstanding. My now 6 year old spent 4 years at the nursery and my one year old has just started and absolutely loves it. I cannot fault one thing and am just so grateful knowing that I can go to work knowing they are in safe, caring hands.

We worked with the nursery slowly easing her back into the nursery at her speed. Now finally, after a lot of care and consideration from the nursery and myself and family, I can confirm that the worse is now over. My daughter is finally, after 5 weeks of unsettling, finally going full days again. Thanks to all staff.

This nursery is outstanding. The staff are over kind and supportive with my son. He enjoys attending. He has grown much more confident and is open to new adventures.

Amazing and friendly staff. Never had any problems. My son is always happy. Lots of activities for them to do and the meals are varied.

It’s the best nursery, and I wouldn’t want my children at any other nursery, they understand children’s needs and wants.

Choosing a childcare setting can be a nervous and daunting prospect but the management and the staff have made the transition easy for my daughter and also myself. We could not be happier with the nursery and their wonderful care.

I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of care our daughter has received over the past 3 years. From day one, she has been happy and we have felt involved as parents. All aspects of our daughter’s development have been catered for and thanks to all staff she will transition to school with confidence. We will be very sad to leave.

Great nursery. Staff all work hard to make a brilliant learning environment which is fun. The children always seem happy and enjoying themselves. My son has been going to this nursery for 7 months and I cannot rate it high enough. He loves going there and the staff are excellent with him, especially his keyworker who has made the effort to build a bond with him. He has never once cried when I have left him and always looks so happy on collection like he has had so much fun. The nursery gets the children involved in lots of activities to really help their development. They encourage independence for the children and they cater for each child’s individual interests. The nursery is very clean and well organised and the garden is an amazing place for the children to play and explore. All food is home cooked and of a good nutritious variety. Parents are made to feel very involved in their child’s care with monthly reports on their individual development and regular parent consultation meetings and stay and play dates. In my opinion, this nursery is the best in the area and has a long-standing high-quality reputation.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. My 3-year-old has grown in confidence and that is thanks to the professional and kind staff. The nursery is clean, extremely well run and I go to work knowing he is safe and having a great time.

Very happy with everything. Both my children attended this nursery and I am very pleased. My little boy loves the garden and all the staff. The children have lots of fun.
