The nursery provides high-quality early education and childcare for children aged 3 months to preschool age in a supportive and friendly environment. Flexibility is a key feature, with booking options available to suit a range of family needs, including sessions in 15-minute increments. Activities are planned around children’s interests, supporting development in line with the EYFS framework.
Tops Exeter benefits from a large outdoor space, offering children extensive opportunities for active play, exploration, and learning in the fresh air, something that is not commonly found in many nurseries in the local area.
A range of extracurricular activities is also available, including Forest School, Cooking School, yoga, swimming, and Boogie Mites.
Sustainability is embedded in everyday practice, with children encouraged to take part in recycling, gardening, and energy-saving activities. Healthy, no-added sugar meals are provided, alongside strong partnerships with families through regular communication.

Weekly packages are available with private and full-time discount packages.
Consumables & Sundries Contribution: £5.70 per day. Covers washable nappies and potty-training pants, wipes, nappy cream, sun cream, bamboo toothbrushes, toothpaste, and access to eyLog for parent communication and learning journals.
Breakfast: £1.10.
Lunch: £2.50.
Tea: £1.90.
All meals bundle: £4.20.
Weekly packages include meals and snacks, consumables and sundries, activity packages, and access to eyLog.
Late payment fee: £17.79 per week overdue.
Bounced payment fee: £53.34.
Day swap administration fee: £19.57.
Emergency childcare booking fee: £13.44.
Late collection is charged at the hourly rate. Additional charges apply: £12.60 for collection without notice and £39.12 for collection after closing time.

I have been really pleased with our experience at Tops Exeter. Communication is excellent - we always feel informed and staff let us know immediately if there are any problems or there is important information. My son has a lot of fun at the nursery and is also learning a lot every day. The staff do their best to make him feel welcome.
I am also impressed with the food and drink on offer as it is nutritious and appetising.
