Tops Day Nurseries: Prince Rock Nursery

Since my daughter has joined Tops Day Nursery - Prince Rock, she has come out of her shell; her speaking is amazing and in general, she loves to go nursery. She has been struggling with her eating but the staff are really great with her, encouraging her every step of the way. She is also potty training, with which the staff are amazing.

My daughter's been attending Tops Prince Rock since she was a baby. Now, at 7 and a half years, she still comes for holiday clubs in the school holidays. She always has a brilliant time. I'm always impressed with the entertainment, educational and nutritional aspects of her day. I always recommend it.

This nursery has been brilliant, from our first contact with the admin staff. Our nearly 3 year old had a lot of upheavals when starting here, as we had relocated so we started her on half days for a few weeks until she had to go full-time, due to work commitments. She settled in relatively easily and even when drop-offs were difficult, she always came out full of beans, having had a great time. Possible emotional difficulties were raised with us, we were aware that she sometimes struggles to communicate where other children her age probably wouldn't, but even in the short time since this has been raised, we've seen an improvement. The staff are understanding, not just of our daughter but us too and we couldn't be happier with her being here.

The staff are all so lovely my son loves going to play with them. They are always happy to give advice and give lots of feedback. The outside space is awesome with lots of different areas to explore. It's a lovely nursery run by great people. So glad we choose Tops, Prince Rock. Another massive plus is how eco friendly it is. They are more than happy to use cloth nappies. Great job ladies.

The staff are very helpful. They have a lot of time for me and never rush me away when I’m dropping/collecting my child; they are happy to chat about my child’s day and tell me everything she has done. My daughter settled quickly with them when she joined.

My son absolutely loves it here. He has made great bonds with the staff, and it’s clear they know all the children as individuals. The staff look out for each child’s well-being and are always friendly and helpful.

The children take part in a wide variety of activities, and this is communicated to parents very effectively using a daily app; as well as other updates about his day.

The food menu is very nutritious, and there is a great variety in the meals offered. I think the food is excellent value for money.

There is a lovely ethos to this nursery, and the outdoor facilities are a real plus. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

We, as a family, including our child, got quite bad with Covid, and they sent a beautiful box of different things for her to do, make and read, which was just exceptional and beyond. I would highly recommend this nursery.

We are so impressed with Tops Prince Rock! We picked the setting because they are an eco-friendly nursery, and they have been very supportive of us using cloth nappies with our 16-month-old. He has settled remarkably quickly and it is clear that he has a lovely bond with the staff, who in turn are always very enthusiastic and appreciative of him as an individual. We love that he spends time outside regularly and is given space to be himself (a very energetic and boisterous boy!) Communication between us and the staff via an app ensures we can keep track of what he's doing at nursery and stay in regular contact. His dad particularly appreciates this because he doesn't get to drop/collect him, but he still feels involved.

Suffering from severe anxiety sending my daughter to nursery was always a daunting thought but all the staff at Tops instantly put me at ease, answering any questions I have and being supportive to myself and my daughter. My daughter's review of the nursery was instant, as soon as she came out of her taster session she shouted that she has "the best nursery EVER!" and has proceeded to tell everyone we have seen since. She is eager and happy to go to nursery, even on days where she isn't going! Could not have asked for a better start to her nursery journey.

I am really happy with the care my 16-month-old daughter receives at this nursery. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and my daughter settled in really quickly. They are very attentive, and I feel they really get to know each child and their interests and development too. There is plenty for the children to do here and the outside space is fantastic.

My son has attended Tops Prince Rock since he was 17 months old and both mine and his experience of the nursery has been really good. It is a great facility with a really nice and safe outdoor area. The staff ( and in particular the Nursery Manager) are really friendly and approachable and have always made me feel at ease about leaving my son in their care. They use a great online system to update you on your child's progress. The system also allows you to add in your own photos, videos and observations which I thought was particularly beneficial during the lockdown as it allowed us to still feel connected to the nursery. I would definitely recommend Tops.

The staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot rate this setting highly enough.

I am very happy with this nursery. My son goes here and he absolutely loves it. The staff are very kind and are very good with the kids. Before my son started, he would not listen, after 3 months of going to the nursery they have helped me and now my son is starting to be good and helps me with little things at home. There is a big improvement and I could not be happier. Thank you Tops Day Nursery.

Tops Prince Rock is a lovely nursery. Our son has recently started attending after viewing a few different nurseries. On viewing Prince Rock, the nursery manager was very friendly and immediately gave a warm welcome. The nursery is very child led and focusing on teaching good morals for when they grow older. We felt very much at ease walking around the nursery and appreciated the eco-friendly approach that the nursery uses. Since our son has settled into Prince Rock, we cannot fault the care he receives. Every single nursery caregiver welcomes us with open arms and has time for my son. It doesn’t matter if they have their hands full with other children, they always manage to take my little boy and ensure he is safe and reassured. My husband and I love that the nursery isn’t too big as well. We also love that come rain or shine, the children are encouraged to play out in the safe garden area. Our little boy has really settled into the nursery and we couldn’t be happier.

Both my children have and do still attend Tops Day Nursery and I cannot recommend them enough. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming on arrival which gets the children to feel excited to be there. They have encouraged them to experience new things and try new foods by making it fun and they have created amazing bonds with other children. Both my girls have lovely bonds with the staff which fills me with warmth and makes it so much easier to leave them there.

As a parent I was petrified of leaving my child in the care of “strangers” but I have to say Prince Rock staff really put us at ease and really spent time integrating my child into playgroup. He is very happy there and has lots of fun - the staff are amazing and take time to work with each child individually and they really have helped with confidence building! The array of activities are amazing and they are allowed to be “kids” here whilst still having a strong educational ethos.

My son has learned so much since attending Tops and his confidence has really grown.

My son has been attending this nursery for two years. The team there are great and my son is very happy to tell me about all the things he has done each day.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. It is a credit to the Tops brand and the manager and her team are excellent. We couldn't ask for more for our children.

Lovely friendly nursery, grandson loves going here and he is very attached to the lovely staff. I would recommend the nursery to anyone who needs to send a child here.
