The Dolphin Pre School and Nursery

Our son has attended The Dolphin nursery since he was one and we were let down by his childminder. The manager and the team were very welcoming and friendly and felt it was the right setting and place for him. He has loved his Dolphin journey and loves preschool. Our little girl has recently started and already has good relationships with the team in the room.

It's like a family there - all staff know all the children and there is always a happy atmosphere. Great communication with parents (monthly newsletter, daily activity sheets and regular parents evenings) as well as great contact on an everyday basis.

The Dolphin is a fantastic, warm, family orientated nursery, where when you walk in, everyone has a smile on their face. I love all the activities and creative things they have the children doing, with little personal touches like getting the children to make cards for special occasions. There are so many things they must be doing right as our daughter is so happy, bright and learning all the time, some of which is down to the care and attention she receives at The Dolphin.

I can't compare it to other nurseries, as we have only ever used this one, but I'm so glad we chose The Dolphin. Leaving your children with others is an important decision that you quite often have to make. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Dolphin, lots of indoor and outdoor activities to keep your little ones learning while having fun!

This nursery has been absolutely outstanding, I cannot fault it in any way. I would highly recommend to anyone, as I have done, they have done amazing for my son and he has flourished in so many ways. They communicate daily, learning journal is filled in weekly with so much info you feel you're attending the nursery with your child. I have five children and I can honestly say this is and has been the best day nursery by far, OUTSTANDING!

They have a great set up for all ages, with good resources, and I do prefer that the age groups are separated. Some nurseries mix all ages but I find having them spilt allows the nursery teachers to really focus more on what the child of that age range should be learning.

I’ve had to change my working hours a good few times and each time The Dolphin have been very accommodating and also very flexible with allowing me to extend my hours every so often.

My children often speak of the nursery teachers and what fun they have been up too, so all in all, I’m very glad I chose The Dolphin and highly recommend.

The Dolphin Pre School and Nursery is an excellent setting and has helped both of my daughters grow. The staff are so kind and caring.

The Dolphin is a fantastic nursery and pre-school. Our now 7-year-old daughter attended from age two until she started school and our son, who is almost three, started at 11 months old. All teachers and keyworkers have been brilliant and we have always felt well informed about all aspects of our children's development and progress. All of The Dolphin staff are welcoming and very attentive to the children. The nursery has excellent indoor and outdoor facilities with a professional, yet family-run atmosphere, which for us is what makes it stand out from other settings in the area. The meals are cooked on site and both of my children have always eaten well and enjoyed mealtimes. As a parent, you feel like your opinion is listened to and appreciated and communication with parents is very good, with daily updates and regular emails. I feel that The Dolphin gives children an excellent foundation for starting primary school.

My 2-year-old daughter has been going to The Dolphin Pre-School and Nursery for just over a year now and loves it! The staff are brilliant and do lots of fun activities. I struggle to get my daughter to leave every time I pick her up!

The nursery has provided excellent care from the start and provides me as a parent with a day to day information sheet and a weekly review of everything my son has done. It is very detailed and lovely to see. The food is excellent and my son is very settled and happy.

Overall I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

I moved my daughter to The Dolphin as she was struggling to settle at a larger local preschool. She loves her new school and all the key workers work so hard to make their day full of exciting activities and fun play. I love the “about me book” which she takes home every week documenting what they have been up to! Lovely staff who are super friendly and kind to the children. Highly recommend.
