Mama Bear's Day Nursery at Downend Bristol

My son attended the Mama Bear's Day Nursery and Pre-School at Stanbridge setting for 2 years and starts school this September. The staff are all lovely and very approachable. I feel like they knew my child as an individual and his key worker would sometimes tailor activities/play to support his personal development needs. I am happy with the care and education he received during his time at Mama Bear's Day Nursery and Pre-School and I'm confident he will be ready for his next steps.

We have been so happy with the manager and her team. Our two children love it here and have so much fun. The staff are really invested in the children and care about them so much. They do a fantastic range of activities that have been brilliant for my children’s development. They’ve also been really helpful with potty training my son. Their communication with parents is brilliant and we’re kept updated on what they’ve been doing and what they’ve eaten with the parent app. The food they’re given is great too with plenty of variety and lots of healthy but also child-friendly options. Couldn’t rate them highly enough!

Both my children have attended Bright Sparks Stanbridge and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the site is very clean. Overall it seems a very happy place for children attend!

I highly recommend Bright Sparks, Stanbridge setting! The staff have been amazing with my little boy, he was diagnosed with autism earlier this year and was awaiting an EHCP so he could receive support in primary school. Bright Sparks were happy to have my little boy for even longer than usual while we awaited this. They have helped my son greatly the last couple of years and all of the support he now has at his new school is all down there help! We will miss them so much.

We moved my son early this year from a pre-school where we didn’t find the experience positive for my son and I’m so glad we moved. Positive attitudes from every staff member, an encouraging environment, smiles. From the moment my son arrived the time has been taken to get to know him and engage with his interests and get the best out of him on his terms. From worrying about him starting school in September as one of the youngest, I now feel confident he has had the lead in he needed. He now comes home with lots of positive things to say, stories to tell and even songs to sing to me! Whenever someone in our community asks for opinions on local pre-schools I point them in the direction of Bright Sparks, I only have praise for them. Thank you!

The staff are amazing, so friendly and approachable, there is also great communication between home and pre school. I would highly recommend Bright Sparks.

My son really enjoys going to this preschool. He loves his teachers and making new friends. His speech and development has definitely improved since attending and I love to receive the updates on the app.

I moved my daughter from a previous Pre-School setting which she had been at for two years. I had found that she was not learning anything new and her speech was very, very delayed. After much consideration I decided to move her and looked at Bright Sparks Day Nursery and Pre-School at Stanbridge in Summer 2020. Straight away I just knew it was the right place for her. Everything ticked the boxes of what I was looking for, for her and her needs. Ever since she has attended this setting in September 2020 she has come on leaps and bounds. I am incredibly proud of her and the setting for always showing her she can do it! Her speech has come on amazingly and her confidence is growing. Her key worker is fanatic with her, as are every other member of staff. They really have her best interest at heart and that’s what any parent wants from a setting. My only regret is that I wished I had moved her sooner to Bright Sparks Day Nursery and Pre-School at Stanbridge.

Excellent nursery, lovely staff and very well run. My little girl currently attends and has a great rapport with the staff. My son also attended the setting pre starting school and also loved it. My son has additional learning needs which were all catered for too and he really thrived there.

After viewing several nurseries, I finally settled on here for my son. Best decision I made. He loves it and the staff are amazing, very helpful and informed. A great mix of indoor and outdoor activities in a secure educational environment. My son loves it here and settled in quickly, he enjoys going in on his set days during term time. I would highly recommend to fellow parents.

Where to begin... I literally can not praise the staff of this establishment enough! We came to them at a very difficult time, and yet with virtually no notice they welcomed our son with open arms and transitioned him beautifully. I have observed that they are kind but firm, which is what he has needed! He is and has been very very happy at Bright Sparks, despite the very rushed and un-planned starting due to circumstances beyond our control! He always comes home so happy with such lovely crafts and he has come on immensely during his time there both developmentally and emotionally. Words will never be able to explain my sheer gratitude for them being there for us in our childcare crisis and nurturing him so much and helping him to grow. I would highly recommend as they have gone above and beyond for us!
