With a fantastic selection of engaging activities, Busy Bees at Ipswich Pinewood offers children a welcoming environment with an enthusiastic team who work hard to make sure that every day is filled with fun.

The nursery has a highly qualified, caring team that supports children throughout every step of their development to ensure they have the best start in life. There is also a a dedicated baby room, where the team are able to care for children who still need lots of close care and attention. This space has cots and a sensory play area.

Busy Bees follows the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework to help prepare children for the next stage in their educational journey. The enthusiastic staff plan and prepare activities in line with the framework so children can learn all whilst having fun.

Whether your child enjoys exploring the outdoors, taking safe risks while supervised by staff, thriving with fun-filled activities, or enjoying a nutritious meal with their friends, they will enjoy every moment at Busy Bees Ipswich Pinewood.

They have a variety of 15-hour and 30-hour funding spaces available - please call to find out more information. Fees will include all meals, prepared on site by their Nursery Chef, from their seasonal 6 week rota of NHS accredited menus. Sibling Discounts also available (Terms & Conditions apply). Additional Information: There is a Registration Fee payable to secure your place of £100, £50 of which will be taken off of your first invoice. Fees are based on 52 weeks per year, paid monthly in advance, until children get to funding age. A minimum booking of 2 sessions per week is required. Fees to be paid monthly by direct debit, vouchers or TFC payments. No refunds will be given for sickness or holidays. Fees are reviewed annually every September. The nursery will be closed on all Bank Holidays (normal charges still apply).

Since my daughter started at the nursery when she was 9 months old she has loved attending, the staff are always welcoming, the staff in the room are always happy and welcoming even at 7.30am.
The updates throughout the day keep both myself and my wife including in what our daughter is up to.
My
daughter loves going to nursery, when I say to her in the morning we are off to nursery she instantly smiles and starts calling for her keyworkers.
" Ellie where are you, Izzy where are you"
The team of Ellie, Izzy and Lucie in her current room are amazing and a credit to your team.
My daughter is developing really well, and I can honestly say this is down to the staff at nursery.
When we had issues due to certain types of food the management team and chef were quick to help us come up with alternative food options.
This relates to Pinewood, Ipswich.
Would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone.

We couldn't be happier with the care our children receive at Pinewood Ipswich. The progress we've seen in their confidence, social skills, communication, and independence has been amazing.
The staff build strong, caring relationships with each child, helping them feel secure and happy every day. Communication
is excellent at drop-off, pick-up, and throughout the day, keeping us informed and involved.
We also love how parents and carers are invited to special events like Mother's Day and Christmas, making families feel included.
We are so grateful for the nursery's positive impact and highly recommend them!

My son attended this nursery first and we have placed our daughter here as well. Both came on leaps and bounds in confidence, my son had speech issues and they went out of their way to help us get the extra help we needed from the health visiting team. The staff are truly lovely, we always get an update
at the end of the day as to what our daughter has been up to, the food always sounds delicious (she eats so much more there compared to when she is at home) she has such a busy fun day. Activities always sound fun and productive to their learning and she always comes home with some wonderful crafts.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees Ipswich Pinewood since she was 7 months old. She is almost 2 years old now and I cannot fault the nursery. Staff feel like family, my daughter is so advanced for her age thanks to all the engaging educational tasks that they do there. Her keyworker is amazing and creates
tasks based on my daughter's favourite things. She is always making art and we get lovely Mother's/Father's/Valentine's crafts and cards etc. Love this nursery and so happy I chose here!

Firstly my son started here when he was 8 months old and stayed until he was ready for school and I couldn’t fault them then, in fact, we were so happy with the care they provided for my son that my daughter has recently joined. They have made her first experience of a nursery and leaving us such a
positive one. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and all definitely have a child-centred approach to their care. Highly recommend!

The members of staff always put the children first. They always create lots of fun activities for the children to do. I personally enjoy seeing the photos on the app that get taken of my child and hope that carries on as they move through the different rooms.

The staff at this nursery are so caring and friendly! They genuinely care about my baby girl and are sure to make every session full of exciting experiences and activities. I get multiple photos daily and she’s always smiling in them. Her key person is amazing with her!

Lovely nursery both my kids have gone here and my son leaves at the end of August to start primary school. I’ve never had any problems and my kids have loved it and helped them grow and the staff are amazing.

The best nursery we could have found our son. He started at 11 months, attended throughout Covid with all the restrictions and is now in his last few weeks with the nursery. Throughout the entire experience, our son's needs came first and nothing was too much for the staff. He formed very close relationships
to all the nursery workers in his room, and extra special ones with his key workers - which made it easier and more reassuring leaving him. All the staff have always been lovely and helpful with any enquiries etc.
Having just attended the school leavers graduation, it is really clear how much extra effort the staff put in, to give the children the absolute best experiences. I cannot thank them all enough throughout the years for helping, teaching and growing our little baby into a kind and caring little boy. You really are all amazing.

My son has been at Busy Bees now for almost 2 years. He started just one day a week and has now increased to three full days a week. Since being at this nursery he has thrived and developed greatly in all areas. The staff had him potty trained and dry within a week and his speech is incredible and he
isn't even 3 yet. The staff care for him like family and he loves them too. The app is updated daily with toilet, sleep and food updates and they upload any pictures of activities being undertaken. I cannot recommend this nursery and the staff enough!

My, just over, 2 year old has been going to this nursery since she was 10 months to have childcare for 2 days of the week when daddy is also at work. She loves her days there as is always quick in the door with a little wave goodbye. The nursery provides a safe location and premise for our children
and the staff are always there to update you on the child's day. Looking forward to seeing how she progresses over the next year as she goes through the other age rooms.

The nursery is definitely one of the worst choices we made as parents. We put a lot of trust in the nursery as regards to our son's welfare but were completely let down.
Our son is a happy little fella and hardly ever made a fuss about going to nursery and suddenly became teary whenever we approached
the nursery.
Even after we raised the concern there was no correspondence from the nursery to deal with the issues raised and rather we were only contacted to confirm if we would still be paying for the sessions our son didn’t attend (which we paid for anyway). It was quite sad really.
Something wasn’t right and it wasn’t investigated.
Anyway, our son is in a different nursery now and he is back to his happy little self again.
We have been told that he is always in a good mood.

My name is Victoria, and I am pleased to be the Centre Director at Ipswich Pinewood.


I have a BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Education and am passionate about giving every child the best start in life. I have worked for Busy Bees for the last 5 years after starting as a relief practitioner in 2020 and then progressing through the different roles up to Assistant Centre Director in June 2023.


I aim to provide each and every child with a nurturing and engaging learning environment, ensuring children become enthusiastic and confident learners ready to be curious and explore the world.
