Orchidale Children's Nursery was graded “outstanding” by Ofsted (June 2022).

The nursery garden is very large and includes a separate baby and toddler garden, toddler and preschool garden, patio, and a forest school garden with a trained forest school leader. Here children are free to explore the natural environment and can develop shared joy and a sense of wonder about nature. In the vegetable patch, children can learn to grow and harvest fruit and vegetables.

Inside there are open and homely environments and children are looked after by the highly qualified and experienced team, including Early Years teachers.

The wide curriculum includes daily and weekly gardening, baking, forest school and yoga. Orchidale also has termly visits and visitors such as the fire brigade and zoo.

To meet all children's unique individual needs this exciting curriculum uses diverse learning styles, from sensory, visual and auditory to kinaesthetic, musical and naturalistic.

Orchidale's teaching values healthy active days and provides great choices in healthy eating. This extends to care for a healthy planet. The home cooking uses local produce, fruit and vegetables, as well as nursery children's ‘own grown veg’ from the vegetable plot.

My little boy has been at Orchidale for almost a year now starting when he was 9-months-old. He gets excited when we pull in to the car park and he notices we have arrived at nursery.
All staff show such care and attention, we get lots of updates on Tapestry about what he has been up to at nursery.
We love the big outside environment and how the areas in the main garden are mirrored in the 0-2 garden giving the younger children the chance to experience a wide range of activities safely.
We can't recommend the nursery enough and look forward to the years to come at Orchidale

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. My son gets so much out of attending. The staff are so friendly and helpful; when he has a wobble during drop off. There is so much for him to do and his speech has really come on along since joining, as well as his sharing with other children. The nursery takes
the children out on small trips in their new minibus, which I think is really beneficial. It also gives my son a chance to see things he doesn't usually see.

Orchidale offers a fantastic, fun, welcoming and educational environment for all ages. Our daughter has been attending from the age of 1 and has sought comfort and reassurance from the staff at Orchidale as if they were a member of our family. They are always keen to explore new experiences with the
children and support there development and growth every day. As well as educational benefits, Orchidale offers great social support. My daughter's confidence and understanding of others has improved dramatically since joining. It is also fantastic how you receive constant updates on the app, so even when I am at work I can see the fun my daughter is having. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our daughter absolutely loves going to Orchidale. She started going when she was just 10 months old and even at such a young age she really flourished. Her key person in the baby room was simply amazing and so too is her new key person in the 2-5 room. Staff keep us up to date with what she has been
doing and always make the time to discuss anything we have questions about. Activities are well tailored to children’s needs and their likes. Tapestry is used really effectively and links to the EYFS so we can see how our daughter is developing in key areas. Food is freshly prepared on site and our daughter absolutely loves it, and often has seconds! It’s always daunting looking for childcare but my husband and I are extremely happy we found Orchidale.

Wonderful Nursery with a great bunch of staff. My child was very well settled and Orchidale is kept very up to date and does not look tired as some nurseries can from being open so long. Garden is outstanding!!!

My daughter had 4 very happy years at Orchidale and now her brother attends. The staff and setting are fabulous with wonderful facilities and activities. The nursery is extremely well managed and both of my children have flourished in terms of their social skills and developmental milestones whilst
at Orchidale. I can leave my children knowing they are being cared for by a wonderful team who are like extended family to them.

Both my children have been and still attending this nursery and in over 5 years have never had any issues at all. My children love the nursery and the staff are lovely and very approachable. I always get fully informed on the day my children have had and always get updates throughout the day via Tapestry.
Very impressed with everything and highly recommend it.

Orchidale is a really fantastic nursery. The staff are so lovely and amazing at what they do, the children are always so happy to be there. My oldest child left Orchidale for school last summer and he still asks to go back now he loved it that much. They helped him massively with speech issues and getting
the correct help he needed. They also really helped prepare him for starting school. I also currently have my other son attending Orchidale and he has created such lovely bonds with staff and the children. We love everything about Orchidale!

We love this nursery. Our son has attended here since he was 9 months old. He loved his time in the baby room and all the staff there were very attentive, especially his key worker. He is now happily settled into the “big boy” room and looks forward to his nursery days. My favourite thing about this
nursery is how much all the staff appreciate our little boy for who he is. Orchidale Children's Nursery was recommended to us and we couldn’t have found a better place for our son. We feel very happy and comfortable leaving him in the staffs care.

Absolutely wonderful nursery, staff are just amazing, mature management team and really well run nursery. The outside space is amazing and my child had four very happy years at Orchidale before going off to school, couldn't recommend highly enough.
