Kindred Cambridge Nursery and Pre-School

Our daughter started at Kindred Cambridge in Sep 2022 at the age of 3 years 3 months, having never been to any childcare setting before. She started on 2 half days per week, and in Jan 2023 increased to 3 half days. She took a few sessions to settle in, but we were given good advice by the staff about how best to handle that, and in general were so happy and impressed with how kind, supportive and welcoming they all were. Every member of staff knew our daughter's name from day one, so no matter who opened the door on arrival, she always got the warmest welcome. The staff are absolutely professional and on top of everything and I've never had any doubt that our daughter is safe and well looked after, and that if she was ever upset, they wouldn't let that continue without letting us know. Our daughter quickly bonded with her keyworker and now loves her! The atmosphere in the room is warm and friendly and they care about getting to each individual child. They keep us very well informed. Very happy.

We've used the nursery for a few years now and it has been outstanding the whole time. The boys have really enjoyed attending and I feel comfortable leaving them knowing that they are very well cared for. All the staff are amazing and they communicate well, sharing lots of pictures of them having fun and documenting their learning journey as well as showing an interest in what the children enjoy outside of the setting.

Such a lovely small but very personal place. My son who is 1 Year and 4 months started in January and so far he seems to be settling in very well thanks to the lovely care of the staff. He is very attached to me but after just several visits I feel confident leaving him in the nursery. What I really love is the communication: through an app, I am sent regular updates on how my son is getting on, if he is sleeping, eating or playing with pictures as well at times. Really puts my mind at rest which is what every parent wants especially when starting at a new place. The staff is so lovely and always reply quickly. Every day kids seem to be busy with different things and there are always posts about Whats on for that day! So overall it is a lovely place for my little one.

Our son has been attending Kindred in Cambridge for around ten months and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff are all incredibly friendly, caring and fantastic with the children. One thing we have found particularly useful is how the children's day is logged including their food, sleep and mood, which we have found really helps with maintaining consistency.

My wife and I feel not only safe when we leave our toddler every day at Kindred Cambridge, but also happy. Independently of who receives our baby every morning, they always smile and receive him warmly. The baby is no longer upset when we take him to the nursery. The people taking care of the babies seem engaged with them. They are constantly sending update pictures and videos through an app so that you can track your baby´s daily activities and development. The room in which my baby is staying has sunlight, a controlled warm temperature and plenty of toys and tools to encourage the little ones in lots of activities safely. I would recommend Kindred Cambridge.

My son started sunflower just before his first birthday so I was able to go back to work part-time. He settled in so well and I know this is due to the amazing staff! They are so friendly, welcoming and of a caring nature. They all know my son's name whether or not they work in the room he is in. My son is now almost two and walks into nursery and waves goodbye to me! He always sleeps and eats well (the food is excellent) and he has so much fun! The app they use is brilliant and throughout the day I can check what he's been up to and while working sending them a message is very easy. His transition from the baby room to the toddler room was very well planned out and he has such a good relationship with both key workers he has had so far. I highly recommend this nursery, I leave knowing my son is safe, cared for and having the best time!

My 2-year-old daughter has been attending this nursery for the past year and we have been really happy with her progress. Staff are very friendly and supportive, my child is happy every day there, there are regular updates, and both children and parents are valued. Different activities every day and more fun on special occasions. It is a shame that outdoor space is limited, but children are encouraged to spend a lot of time outside.

My son adores pretty much every aspect of the nursery, the staff follow him closely and is enthusiastic about his development. The equipment they have is varied and frequently distributed in highly creative ways. The food is also highly varied and the children get to experience world celebrations.

It is a fantastic nursery with excellent staff who care greatly about the children. It is very clean and safe. The children are given a great variety of fun things to do and learn throughout the day. My daughter always returns home happy.

The staff at Sunflower Nursery are what make this such a fantastic, caring and happy place for preschool children. They are dedicated to the wellbeing and development of the children, and I have always been beyond happy. I feel very lucky to have found such amazing people to help shape my children. I have always recommended Sunflower Nursery to people in the past, and will definitely continue to do so.

The team are absolutely amazing who look after my daughter. She comes home from nursery every day with a huge smile on her face and lots of stories to tell, which gives me so much peace of mind. They have dealt with the whole pandemic amazingly, supporting the children with all the changes going on. I appreciate all the team and have only praise for them. We feel so safe sending our daughter to Sunflower Nursery. The staff are so friendly, and I know that they take good care of her. They are also really good at giving us updates during the day (over the app).

We have our children at Sunflower and very happy with their learning and development. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Despite the current situation with the pandemic, they have continued to make it a great place for the kids to develop and a safe place to be in.

Our daughter absolutely loves her time at nursery. Her carers do an excellent job, both teaching and entertaining her on a daily basis. It is a joy to see snapshots of her day all of the fun she’s having at nursery.

Sunflower Nursery has been great for our son. The staff are kind, fun and professional. They encourage children to be themselves and develop at their own pace, which has allowed our son to gradually gain confidence.

I've sent both my children here, and they've been very happy. There is a fairly large age difference between them, and it's great that they have staff stability so that quite a few of the teachers from the older child are still with there the younger. Really happy to recommend.

My two daughters love the nursery, they love the staff and all of the activities. I particularly like the fact that it's a small nursery. I found that they take their time for each child's needs. Two of my neighbors followed me there, and they are very happy too!

We are very pleased with the individual attention that our son has been receiving since he started at Sunflower (when he was about 16-months). We have noticed marked progress in his learning and development as well.
