Kindred Cambridge Nursery and Pre-School

Our nearly 2-year old son had a lovely time at Kindred. We had to move away from Cambridge for work reasons, but months later, he still talks about his friends and his favourite staff members there! We enjoyed the emphasis on learning, and being at Kindred did wonders for his confidence and personal development. The app was great for keeping track of what the children were doing on any one day, and allowed us to ask questions and get a quick response. Overall, we highly recommend Kindred to any parent.

We only had the pleasure of sending our daughter to Kindred for three months before relocating, but in that short time it became such a special place for her and for us. From the very first day, her key worker was fantastic, so caring, patient, and attentive, and it was clear she truly understood our daughter's needs and personality. All of the staff were equally wonderful, always sweet, welcoming, and understanding.

Our daughter was genuinely excited to go to nursery every morning, and she was very happy when she saw her key worker and the rest of the team. The warmth, safety, and joy they created made such a difference, and we are so grateful she was able to experience that, even for a short while. If we hadn't moved, we would have been thrilled for her to stay there much longer. Thank you to everyone at Kindred for giving her such a happy start.

Even after moving away, he still talks about his friends, which speaks to the lasting impact they had on him. We would highly recommend Kindred Cambridge to any family!

Communication from the team is very regular and clear, our daughter has personalised reports on her progress that are reassuring and helpful. The range of activities is endlessly varied and includes even going on outings to the playground and having visits from the gymnastic teacher and small animals which our daughter loved. Thank you to all the staff who made it happen.

Our daughter started at Kindred in September last year. The settling in process was managed very carefully and our daughter settled in very well. She is almost 2, but despite being so young, constantly talks excitedly about her key person. She loves the nursery and we are consistently impressed by the care of the staff, the attentive management, the facilities and activities, and the communication with parents. We would highly recommend Kindred Cambridge and our daughter is very happy there.

The team offer support with all sorts of things - potty training, picky eating, difficult behaviours and more. If I ever feel like I am at a loss I know I can speak with my son's key worker and she will offer suggestions and support. She is very knowledgeable and experienced and this shows in the care and support she gives my son and the family.

The nursery have been easy to communicate with via the (excellent) App- we receive lots of photos showing all the incredibly creative activities she does each day. There seems to be a really low staff turnover rate here compared to other places which I think has helped her form strong bonds with staff members. I would recommend this nursery to friends and family.

All three of our children have been to Kindred (and Sunflower before it became Kindred). We have had a consistently good experience and would highly recommend it to others. We have built a strong relationship with the staff over the years, and the level of care and provision is highly satisfactory. All of our children have enjoyed going to nursery.

I only scored the outdoor space a litter lower than everything else as it is on the small size, but it's got plenty to play with and their rotated activities enough to keep the kids entertained. The staff also take the older kids out to the playgrounds down the road, which also helps teach them about road safety all together as well.

The nursery is fantastic. The staff are organised and very caring and both my sons absolutely love their time there and the team who work with them. Communication is great, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kindred.

If you need full-time care and long hours then this is a fantastic option. The communication is also great, and the app where you can see your child's progress, photos and even bowel movements is fab too.

We are really happy with Kindred Nursery and our nearly 3-year-old loves it. He has been going there full-time since he was 8 months old and pretty much runs in every morning! The staff are fantastic, very experienced and full of energy. Our son’s day is always varied as they plan lots of fun and educational activities. We couldn’t recommend Kindred highly enough. My child had been attending Kindred Cambridge since she was 8 months old. We were very happy with the care and attention she got while she was there. She was very happy to go there every day. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I liked the fact that the parents were informed about the progress of the child both daily as well as with the monthly/yearly milestone reports. The opening times of the nursery are very suitable for working parents. Kindred is also open during the school holidays (like half terms, summer etc) which also helps working parents a lot.

I love the updates they send during the day via the app, and how genuinely interested they are in the children's development. I love how they let the kids play outside in any weather and get messy and just generally have fun, but they are learning so much as well. They have lovely fresh food and healthy snacks. I really couldn't ask for more!

Both our children have been at Kindred Nursery, the eldest for almost three years and the youngest for eighteen months. They absolutely loved it and I thoroughly recommend the nursery. It is not large in terms of space or numbers so all the staff know all of the children. It is very caring place. They really helped our children to flourish and kept us regularly updated through the app. The staff put on varied and interesting activities for the children and often weeks have their own theme. They help them to develop age appropriate skills and then prepare those going to school for the transition to primary school through having little PE lessons, show and tell and assemblies. We are so glad our children went here.

My child has been very happy in the nursery. I like the various activities and experiences and the friendly staff. Opening time is quite long (even 31st December) - which is very helpful. The app is also wonderful to know what children are doing in the nursery.

My daughter has been attending here for a couple of years now. She has absolutely thrived at this nursery! The staff are so friendly and lovely. They seem really well-versed in how to support child development. They know each child's personality and notice every change and development, always giving personal attention to the children. They are great at managing the kids and keeping everyone safe and happy. They provide varied and developmentally useful activities to the children. There are new activities constantly, every season and every event is celebrated. The office staff are also great, friendly and on top of everything. My child's main carers are genuinely invested in her well-being and cheer her on in her little achievements. The kids seem to love the freshly cooked meals too. My daughter brings home menu suggestions from things she enjoys at nursery. Couldnt have asked for a better nursery!

My two-year-old started here in January and I can't recommend the nursery more! My son has always been a bit nervous around new people, however, the staff are so friendly and welcoming that it didn't take long for him to settle in. He always comes out of the nursery so happy, and I always get regular updates on how he is going!

Our daughter started at Kindred Cambridge in Sep 2022 at the age of 3 years 3 months, having never been to any childcare setting before. She started on 2 half days per week, and in Jan 2023 increased to 3 half days. She took a few sessions to settle in, but we were given good advice by the staff about how best to handle that, and in general were so happy and impressed with how kind, supportive and welcoming they all were. Every member of staff knew our daughter's name from day one, so no matter who opened the door on arrival, she always got the warmest welcome. The staff are absolutely professional and on top of everything and I've never had any doubt that our daughter is safe and well looked after, and that if she was ever upset, they wouldn't let that continue without letting us know. Our daughter quickly bonded with her keyworker and now loves her! The atmosphere in the room is warm and friendly and they care about getting to each individual child. They keep us very well informed. Very happy.
