Funding & Fees
The Anchor Day Nursery & Pre-School provides high quality childcare in a warm, nurturing environment, open 51 weeks a year from 7:30am–6pm. As your fee pack states, “we are committed to providing a friendly, secure, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.”
We offer both funded and private childcare, with flexible booking patterns to suit family needs.
For children aged 0–2, regular bookings range from £9.60–£10.80 per hour, with ADHOC sessions charged at £12.00 per hour.
For children aged 2–5, regular bookings range from £8.80–£9.90 per hour, with ADHOC sessions also at £12.00 per hour.
Our Holiday Club (5–14 years) is charged at £10.00 per hour.
Breakfast is £2.10, snacks £1.00, lunch £5.00 and tea £3.00.
Children attending 5 or more private hours per day receive all meals included.
A 10% sibling discount is available for the eldest child on full-paying fees.

The nursery has a home from home feel and made my daughter feel very welcome. The nursery study different topics with the children and share information with parents on a regular basis. We have been very happy with the care provided by the friendly staff.
This is an amazing nursery and I would not send my son elsewhere - everyone who knows him has commented on how far he has come since attending. My son has additional needs, dietary requirements and is medicated, and the nursery are very accommodating with this. All the staff are brilliant, my only complaint is that I can't bring the staff home with me when I pick my son up!
He comes out with new things every day and I am kept well informed of his progress. I looked at several nurseries and childminders before visiting A Flying Start and as soon as I walked around, I couldn't wait to enrol him. I am trying to convince my other half to have another baby just so I can send them here! It has never felt like I am paying for a service, it just literally feels like my son's extended family.
They have been absolutely fantastic with my little girl. Staff is brilliant and I will be bringing my little boy there.
My daughter has attended the nursery for just under two years, she is very advanced and intelligent for her age and its thanks to the skills and the teachers in general, that she has come so far in such a short space of time. I as a mother cannot thank the nursery enough for all that they do and that they are. Best nursery ever!
My son has been attending the nursery for several years and grown in confidence since he started. The staff are so welcoming and do an amazing job with the children. My son leaves this year to start school and he is sad as he has made some lovely friends. The staff will also be missed, it feels more like a family than just a nursery.
This is such a nice setting. I found that all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. My little girl was always so happy here. The staff were lovely and I would fully recommend this place for little ones as a nice place for them to grow.
