My husband and I we couldn't be happier with the choice of Woodstock Day Nursery for our son Jacob. The place is very homely and the staff are wonderful and professional, I call them Angels cos he hey doing amazing job to take care of our little Angels, so grateful
The location is fantastic is right by the beach, by the playground and next to the leisure centre.
When is nice weather after picking up Jacob we always going to the beach or playground, where Woodstock nursery doing this as well with children which is amazing the beach is just there cross the road.
The menu at the Woodstock Day Nursery is very good lots of verity's.
I love the fact that the nursery provides vegetarian and meat meals every day follow up with snucks and fruits.
The garden room is lovely big and green with lots of place to play for our little ones.
I was so impressed that nursery provides the personalised bags for or baby's with the name and picture of nursery.

We would highly recommend it this nursery.

Thank you so much for your review.

We love being so close to the beach enabling us to take small groups of children down to the seaside searching for crabs and drawing in the sand. We are proud to have two experienced cooks providing family meals every day for the children with plenty of variety...

I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the care and attention you have given my grandchild during his time with you. His mummy used to come to you and his auntie and you are just as amazing now as you were 18 years ago!

Each day he has spent at your nursery has been full of learning(whether educational, life lessons, boundaries), joy and precious moments. I have seen how you have contributed wonderfully to his development and how you have created a warm and friendly environment for all children. You are truly an exceptional team and I greatly appreciate your effort, passion and dedication. Thank you for everything you do.

Woodstock has provided a truly wonderful nursery experience for our son. The staff are warm, nurturing and genuinely brilliant with the children and the whole ethos centres on letting children simply be children. We love picking him up to find sand-filled pockets, wild hair from running endless laps of the garden and him proudly clutching a PVA masterpiece-often while excitedly telling us what he's learned, like how volcanoes erupt.

We chose Woodstock because, during our visit, we never felt like we were being "sold" a service, unlike at other nurseries. It isn't showy and the decor is charmingly well-worn, but that's exactly the point-the focus is entirely on the children. The garden is huge, the atmosphere is authentic and it's clear that play, creativity and care come first.

My Son's Review: "I love playing outside, running and digging, and racing on the trikes. My teachers are funny bunnies and play fun things. They also read me stories and make good snacks!"

Reply from Anne Shrieves, Nursery Director at Woodstock Day Nursery
I love this review as it describes our ethos perfectly - yes, we want children to just be children.
And your son's review accurately describes his days, enjoying life in the garden with his friends, never missing snack time (!) and developing a wonderful sense of humour.
I will be sure to share this review with the whole team.
Thank you

Anne

My now 18 month old girl started Woodstock Nursery in January when she was 14 months old. She absolutely loves it there! The carers are very warm and loving, very engaged with the little ones and the managers are very hands on too. My little girl looks forward to going there every morning and happily waves me goodbye rushing off to see her friends. She loves the garden time where they play pretty much every day weather dependant. As a parent I feel confident my child is well cared for by people who genuinely love children, fed with quality food cooked fresh on site, entertained and safe. We feel very lucky to have them!

Woodstock I can say is the most amazing nursery so professional yet treat the children as there own learning each child's needs to give them the most person centred approach. My son is a typical 20 month old pushing boundaries caused chaos and the most accident prone child known to man. The staff at Woodstock act professionally and inform when a minor accident occurs on pick ups, and they always call if there's any major concerns. My son loves everyone of his teachers at this nursery and I trust them more than words can explain! They have supported me with my post partum anxiety with leaving my son and most importantly helped shape my son into becoming the most caring intelligent and happy boy.

After 7 years and two boys at wonderful Woodstock, I'm very sad to say goodbye. Fought back the tears while my youngest ran confidently out the building for the last time.
I just want to say a big thank you to all there that loved and cared for my boys for the best part of a decade. I'll miss your calm faces at the door in the morning when either one of the boys or us was losing the morning rush.
Special mention in dispatches the staff.
You've all made such a difference in our boys formative years. We really couldn't have chosen a better second home for our boys to grow up in.

Lots of love to you all.

As a nursery team, we cannot wish for more than a confident child leaving for school. We have enjoyed having your boys at Woodstock over these last 7 years, seeing them grow from babies to mischievous toddlers and now independent learners. It is great to hear that we always appear calm at the door...

I cannot praise Woodstock Nursery highly enough. Our 2-year-old has been attending for almost a year now. The staff are without a fault nurturing, kind and caring. They take the time to get to know the children personally and therefore build fantastic relationships whereby they can be a source of comfort if ever needed.
As a first-time parent, I had the usual fears and worries about sending my daughter off to nursery when I returned to work. But the staff there supported her (and me!) with the transition so kindly and thoughtfully that it made it a lot easier. Without asking they would notice if it had been a difficult drop-off and would send me an update to let me know she was okay.
As time has gone on, the learning and socialising opportunities are evident and our daughter is flourishing.
She gets lots of outdoor time in the fabulous garden, a good variety of food, and also gets invited to extra events (summer garden tea party, Christmas party etc).

Can't recommend enough!

Having been to Woodstock for 2.5 years they have become like family. We highly recommend Woodstock. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The nursery goes above and beyond offering help and advice when needed and really taking an interest in your child and home life. They offer so many great activities the drumming lessons, street dance & beach school have been a favourite for our daughter. Home-cooked meals and the huge garden have been a massive plus for us. I don't even know where to start with how amazing all the staff are! They made me feel so comfortable and at ease leaving my daughter with them. The managers are fantastic prompt at replies, understanding and flexible to your needs. The care is second to none and it shows so much because all the children look so happy and content. We are sad our nursery chapter is coming to an end but Woodstock have gone above and beyond to get our daughter ready for school. We couldn't thank them enough!

Woodstock has been a part of our family life for the last 7 years. They are frankly fantastic. I am a very anxious mum and I have always felt secure in the knowledge that this team will take great care of my precious boys. One of the best things for me is the consistency of the staff. Most have been there for years, so come with so much knowledge. They are kind, funny, nurturing and genuine. There's home-cooked food, park trips, beach visits, street dance, fantastic art teachers, a huge garden with climbing trees and a large sandpit. This isn't just a nursery, it is a trusted part of the family. We are leaving this year as my youngest starts school and we will all miss this fantastic team of lovely people. They help to create happy, confident, kind little people. Do not hesitate to send your kids here. We don't just like them, we love them!

Both our children attended Woodstock and absolutely loved it there. They had so much fun with their friends and enjoyed the amazing range of artistic, musical, cooking and educational activities on offer. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and nurturing, forming strong bonds with the children. There is a large garden where the children can play outside in any weather, and we particularly loved the free-flow set-up that allows children from different age groups to mix and play together. Our children learnt so much from the nursery and were always happy to go. We're so grateful to all of the Woodstock team for their outstanding work!

Hi! My son has now been attending this nursery for nearly 2 years. I can't say how grateful I am for finding it. I always recommend it to friends and I couldn't have asked for something better for my son. Honestly, the journey my son has there is the reason why we won't move north, where I have family until my child will be of school age.

The staff members are so amazing, honestly, I trust them with all my heart. I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you!

We have been meeting my grandson from nursery for over 2 and a half years.
He has loved the freedom of a large garden, the rooms and the staff. The main meals are cooked on site - and similar to his home foods - nutritious.
I was given access from his parents to see the photographs of him at the nursery online which is wonderful. Everyone is friendly and staff will help with any problem.
The staff were able to support him during Covid as his parents work in the NHS. Good practice and care throughout this time.

Lots of online information.

My partner actually attended Nestledown back in the year the current manager opened in 1996. He was one of the first full timers! A whole 26 years ago - Sorry.
22 years later, I moved over from the Brighton area to be with him, and applied for a job at Woodstock, not knowing he had any prior link until I signed the contract and his parents pointed out the Nestledown logo they remembered, the manager then confirmed she remembered him and his family well, and then I spent a year working with her before changing paths and then having our first baby in April 2020, at the beginning of the first lockdown.
6 months later, we needed a nursery.
So him being a former Nestledown child and me being an ex-member of staff, it was a no-brainer that our babies would go to Woodstock and what a wonderful decision that was. Our son (February 2022) will also be starting there soon.

We have experience from every angle and cannot praise them enough for their love, care and kindness over the years.

My son has been coming to Woodstock since he was 7 months old and he is now ready for school. We have loved Woodstock and it’s felt like leaving him with family that know him really well. The staff are wonderful and supportive, helping us navigate being first-time parents and even checking in regularly during lockdown to see how we were all doing. I’m going to miss the team so much in September.

My son loved the nursery. During the settling period, the staff made him so comfortable that I was relieved to put him there knowing that he is in good hands. The behaviour of the owner and the staff is so nice and responsive that we did not need to worry about anything. My son had a speech delay due to being bilingual but he coped very beautifully in the nursery and now he is so fluent. The good thing is that the managers end even the owner receive you while arriving and when leaving with the child, a very nice way to be interactive about child. So happy with service.

After a career in the NHS and having my own children, I opened my first Day Nursery in 1996 for 24 children. The business grew to 3 Day Nurseries, 3 Out of school clubs and a Pre-school until in 2006 everything was sold except for Woodstock Day Nursery and I am now able to enjoy working alongside the staff team and the children on a daily basis – semi-retirement and loving it!

During this time I have qualified as a Nursery Nurse (0 to 5 years) and a Play Leader (5 to 14 years), has completed a BA in Early Years and am now a qualified Early Years Teacher (EYT).

On a personal note, I have 3 sons and two step-sons who are now all over 18 years of age plus 5 grandchildren... So far.

I have been at Woodstock since 2013 and continue to enjoy the fun and sometimes challenge of each day with our children. I gained my EYT status in 2022 along with also being promoted to Manager.
