Overall Experience
Windmill Day Nursery is a nursery that is like a family. The staff provide a high standard of care, whilst also allowing your child to learn independence - from Free play, to eating, to brushing teeth. The Monkey room gives a safe haven to the under 2s and provides a high level of feedback to parents (which is invaluable to parents who have just returned to work). The staff work closely with the child at the time of transition to the Giraffe and Panda rooms so the child is well settled. In the Giraffe and Panda rooms (2+) every aspect of care is centred around allowing your child make the transition from nursery to school. This is done gradually and with support and good communication with the parents.

Having a year round nursery that provides a considered and high standard of care for your child in a family like setting, is difficult to find and I am pleased we found it!

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. My son loves his stay and looks forward to it during the week. One of the teachers is bilingual and helps with teaching Italian for which I am very grateful as it is my heritage.

My little one really enjoys going to the nursery 3 days a week. He has a key person who he loves (always talks about her at home). He used to bite other kids when he felt crowded or pushed. Windmill Day Nursery really helped him with this biting issue and encouraged him to express his feelings more adequately. I'm really happy we chose this nursery for him and next year I'm planning on taking my daughter there too.

Both my kids enjoy attending Windmill Day Nursery they love the food and ask for seconds! The nursery program is varied and provides them with good stimulation e.g. painting, baking, dressing up, reading and outside pay and exploratory toys for the under 2's. Fantastic setting! Great friendly and caring staff. My lads love their key workers and settled within a few sessions! Highly recommend.

My son has been going to Windmill Day Nursery since he was 6 months on my return to work. Throughout his sessions his social/development skills are amazing, his learning is ongoing and he is ding everything he should be. The staff and management have always been friendly, kind and understanding with all of my son's needs. He loves going to nursery. The activities and learning he does there are always so well planned. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.
