The Roslin Nursery is a well established nursery, located in Staines upon Thames close to the town centre and the mainline railway station.
The nursery is registered to cater for children aged 3 months to 5 years on a part or full time basis from the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm and is open Monday to Friday throughout the year with the exception of Bank holidays and the period between Christmas day and the New Year.
The Manager, and staff at Roslin have been carefully selected on the grounds of experience, qualification and those special qualities that are essential for those caring for young children.

The Roslin Nursery provides a safe, secure, loving and stimulating environment. Where all children, irrespective of their individual abilities, have the opportunity to grow in self-confidence, self-worth and acquire social skills and educational competence.

We've had a truly wonderful experience with Roslin. From the start, the staff have been warm, friendly and genuinely caring. They've always taken the time to support the children as individuals and to make us feel confident as parents. It really has felt like a home away from home.
The nursery is run
efficiently and thoughtfully. Drop offs and pick ups have always been smooth, with clear communication that makes a real difference on busy mornings. Both my children settled quickly, were always happy to go in and came home content and well looked after.
The meals provided are good and balanced, and the team plan plenty of fun, engaging activities that keep the children learning and exploring. It's clear how much care goes into each day.
We're incredibly grateful for everything the team at Roslin have done for our family. I would wholeheartedly recommend Roslin to any parent looking for a warm, reliable and nurturing nursery.

We had a few options for childcare when selecting a nursery for our eldest child, but chose Roslin over some of the alternatives on the basis that it felt more homely than some of the chain options around, and that the staff really got to know the children as individuals. Our son started in 2022 and
went through to end of August 2025, and throughout his time at the nursery, we have been really pleased by the care, attention and support shown by the staff, both those directly involved in the children's care, and those more removed in e.g. supporting admin roles, especially when we faced some health-related obstacles.


We have been particularly pleased to see some great developments over the recent past - more events that parents are able to attend (e.g. Mothers/Fathers day), swap days, app to see photos, visits from local community - all great steps forward and showing how engaged and committed the staff are. Our second child starts next month and we are confident she will thrive there

My child has been attending Roslin Nursery in Staines and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. From the very beginning, they made both my child and us feel welcomed and supported. The nursery is clean, secure, and has a lovely,
homey feel to it. The large outdoor garden is a fantastic space for children to play and explore safely. My child absolutely loves outdoor time! The daily activities are creative and varied. Roslin Nursery keeps us regularly updated with progress notes and photos via the app. The communication is excellent, and I always feel in the loop about how my child is doing. They have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and food hygiene. We couldn't be happier with Roslin Nursery. It's a warm, nurturing place where children are genuinely cared for and encouraged to grow. A Heartfelt Thank You to Roslin Nursery!


As a parent, finding a place where your child is truly happy, safe, and thriving is everything - and Roslin Nursery has been that place for us. Our 2-year-old absolutely loves it there! The care and attention given by the amazing team is second to none. They've

been incredibly accommodating and truly work with the child, respecting her pace and personality.


The care workers are not just professionals - they are genuinely nurturing individuals who create a warm, loving environment. My child has built strong, meaningful relationships with her carers and the other children. It's been heartwarming to see her grow in confidence and joy.


She's so happy at Roslin that she often asks to go even on weekends, and she genuinely missed her caretakers during the holidays - a true testament to the bonds formed there.

My son was so happy here and very well cared for. The staff genuinely care about the children and I couldn't have picked a better nursery to look after my son. He started there in the baby room at 11 months old and they were so helpful in easing my anxieties about leaving him. He then moved to daisies
and spent almost a year there, and the staff in that room were also fantastic - thank you so much to all the lovely ladies there who helped raise my child when I was working - we will forever be grateful for your support and nurturing.

The best nursery I could have chosen for my son to begin his educational journey. He thrived in English (being bilingual), learned a lot, and received excellent care. The staff is fantastic, and I could monitor his daily routine through the app. Plus, he was potty trained there. Overall, it's a wonderful

The best nursery we could have chosen for our boy he has been there since March and the staff at the nursery do the most incredible job, especially in the times of settling your child in. We will continue to keep him here and hopefully, when we have another in the future use the facility too.

My two loved going to this nursery. The care given was always of high quality and the staff really care about the children. We chose it because of the homely feel and smaller classroom sizes. Always lots of toys to play with and activities for the children.
They are introducing more initiatives to
give parents more visibility of what goes on inside the nursery, which is good to see. Hopefully, the new manager will also introduce further opportunities for the parents to meet each other, like they used to do before the pandemic, as these were lovely.

Roslin is a wonderful nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. If you're looking for a nursery within Staines, Roslin is by far the best option. The staff are nurturing and caring and I'm happy knowing that my child is happy and being well looked after.

Lovely staff that care about the children and do lots of activities with them, both educational and fun.
My daughter speaks very highly of her teachers and enjoys going to see her friends every day. We had to change her diet and Roslin was more than accommodating and reassuring me every day. Couldn't

Both of our children attended Roslin Nursery, and we are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance they received. The nursery's room conditions were always favourable, promoting accurate knowledge and practice for each age group. Their teachers played a crucial role in developing their motor
skills, numerical knowledge, environmental awareness, and social abilities. We especially appreciated how keen the teachers were to encourage the children to participate in new activities. For our children, Roslin was a joyful, fun, and positive environment where they built beautiful friendships that continue to this day.

Due to logistics we had to change nurseries when our son was just over 3 years old. Him being very emotional and shy amongst new people we were nervous how the transition would go and we could not have been happier and surprised how well it all went and keeps on going. There’s not a day that he doesn’t
want to go to the nursery and always runs in without looking back! He’s extremely happy in there and developing really well.

Our daughter has been at Roslin since she was 11 months old and will be starting school this September. She has always loved attending, and in the last year I have been really impressed with how much she has learned, she can confidently write her name and identify numbers and letters. She’s also learning
about lots of other things and enjoys sharing new facts at home with us. The staff are kind and supportive and there is consistency of care. We’ve been really happy with our time at the nursery.

My son started at Roslin Nursery a couple of months ago and after the initial anxiety of settling in, he has progressed massively. I can’t thank the Buttercups team enough for being reassuring to us both throughout and providing excellent communication. I love the intimate feel of the nursery and I
love my son’s smile going in now - he can’t get out of my arms quick enough! He’s bonded with all the staff and has a particularly great relationship with his key worker. It also looks like he has so much fun during his time here and is working on lots of skills. I’m so glad I found this nursery!

I’ve had children attending Roslin since 2018 and it's amazing. Care has stayed consistent throughout the years. My little girl absolutely loves going to the nursery and is always so happy to see the staff and take part in the fantastic activities the days are filled with.

I can’t say enough how fantastic Roslin is my daughter started in Buttercups as a baby and is now in Daisies. She has made lovely bonds with the other children and staff and come on leaps and bounds with her creativity, speech and development.
The best part of my day is collecting my child and seeing
what little creations she has made at nursery and hearing what she has been up to.
Roslin is a home-from-home, perfect for a little one to start their journey for independence in life.
I can’t thank Daisies and Buttercups and all the staff enough. My child is having the best time there and we know her little brother will have the best time there when he is ready too!

My son joined Roslin in August 2022 after attending 2 prior nurseries. The last move was due to a lack of speech development and safeguarding issues. Since joining Roslin, his speech has seen a dramatic change. He has gone from being constantly upset at drop off and mute to someone who is running in
and a chatterbox. He is very happy! The staff are engaging and give informative updates at pick up. If he is sick, we work together to decide if he needs to be picked up. There have been a few staff changes recently but the care is still excellent.
Management give regular updates which are informative. To me this nursery feels like family/home, which is why I recommend to others as others did for me.

Hello, I am Aradhana, an Early Years Teacher by qualification.
With over 15 years of experience in childcare and a strong foundation gained through completing my Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) at Middlesex University, I am deeply committed to supporting every child’s learning and development.
I am passionate about providing high-quality, inclusive childcare where each child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive. It is incredibly rewarding to watch children grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity during their time with us. I strive to ensure every child in our care feels safe, happy, and ready to take on the challenges of the world with confidence.
