Ladybird Nursery

The nursery is well organised, well run, and the staff are caring and kind.

We have been with Ladybird Nursery several years now and have been delighted with manner in which they have cared for our son. Management changed a couple of years ago and that led to great improvement in organisation. There are constant improvements with super communication. We will greatly miss the staff who are enormously imaginative in the varied activities they have whilst also thinking about how to prepare for starting school.

Both my boys have attended Ladybirds Nursery and I returned with my second child because of the wonderful family feel and 'home from home' environment. The non-stop play, which supports my child's development is a key reason I love this nursery. Since the recent management changes, there have been noticeable improvements. Communication is excellent, with regular updates on both the nursery's activities and my child's progress. The food menus are varied, healthy and interesting, my son often has seconds! The team maximises the small garden space and also makes use of local facilities like the playground. I love that pre-schoolers go to forest school to explore nature. The staff are fun, welcoming, hardworking and always listen to concerns. Their blend of professionalism and personal care is great. I'm impressed with the positive changes at Ladybirds Nursery and their commitment to continuous improvement. I highly recommend to any parent seeking a nurturing and supportive environment.

My child joined Ladybird Nursery in the baby room when he was 1.5 years old. I was very apprehensive in the beginning but the manager was amazing in assuring me that I could message or call whenever I wanted. Having amazing communication and the most amazing staff has made my child love the nursery each day. The range of activities offered in 2-year-old group has been very stimulating and educational for my child. I like the fact that each festival is celebrated and the child is provided with the most amazing cultural and learning experience. The whole team of Ladybird is amazing and I can say it helps me go to work without worrying. A big thank you to everyone.

From a parental perspective, staff have been really supportive and understanding in setting routines at our request to help with sleep and toilet training, offering advice around milestones and flexibility to help meet our family's needs - I couldn't recommend the manager and the baby room team more highly!

The reason for my strong recommendation is the staff. I can't name them all, made a big difference and I know my teacher partner saw and respected the results. They were with him for so long: he loves them to pieces, as do we. They are so positive it's infectious and great with the kids. I cannot say thank you enough to them all at Ladybirds.

We are very happy with the Ladybird Nursery. Our son stayed there for more than 2 years and we can feel that he is ready now to go to Reception and Ladybird played a big part in his development. I'd like to thank the whole staff for being so nice and caring with us and our son. The improvements made in recent years are impressive and they reached an outstanding level in our opinion. We are extremely happy with this nursery, the staff are caring, have got to know our daughter on a very deep level and she is safe and happy in their care! If she is having a wobble about going in, the staff give her a cuddle and reassures her, and by the time we get home, we have a message and a picture telling and showing us that she’s fine, which is a fantastic touch and one of many examples of how they go the extra mile!

We are extremely grateful to the entire staff at Ladybird Nursery for providing our little boys with exceptional care, fun experiences, and incredible growth. Ladybird Nursery will forever hold a special place in our hearts, as it became a second home for our boys. The recent addition of the office manager to the team has been great. They've introduced a healthier menu, more consistent updates about our little one's development, termly newsletters, an increase in messy activities, air-con installation, revamping the baby room and I'm sure there are other things I've missed out on this list. We genuinely miss the entire Ladybird team now that our boys have transitioned overseas. We wholeheartedly recommend Ladybird to anyone in search of a nurturing environment for their loved ones with the friendliest and most caring team.

All of our four children have attended Ladybird Nursery and have flourished there. The staff are very caring and attentive and take time to get to know each individual child. The garden area and the cooking and craft activities, as well as the local forest school visit which runs every week, are particular highlights. It has a lovely atmosphere and goes the extra mile to ensure that children feel at home there. We highly recommend Ladybird.

Over the last year of nursery lots of changes had been put in place, this involved a new healthy menu and more consistent updates, the changes have helped in easier communication with the staff and have been great. I thank Ladybird for everything over the last few years!

On my son's last day, I thought he might shed a few tears but in actual fact, it was me who was crying! It felt like the end of an era. He had been there for 3 years which is such a long time for a 4 year. We will miss the staff but pass by on our way to walk so sometimes get to say hi. Definitely recommend this nursery for your little one if you are considering it.

Would have no hesitation in using them again.

My son has recently left the nursery after almost three years of attending the setting and we have never had any issues during this time. The staff have been absolutely wonderful, always caring and focused on the children's development. The flexibility and willingness to help from the staff is something you do not get with chain nurseries. I wholeheartedly recommend enrolling your child here if there is availability!

There have been so many great improvements done throughout all aspects of the organisation and we really appreciate it as parents and my daughter who always loved her teachers and friends loves her nursery too.

I honestly don't know what I would have done without Ladybirds for the last two and a half years. One of the best aspects is that it is not run by a chain so everyone who works there remains flexible and focused on the kids. I can't recommend this nursery enough. My son loves it here. Don't hesitate if there is a space - take it.
