Christopher Robin Day Nursery - Burpham

My daughter started at Christopher Robin Day Nursery last September, and we have been very impressed since. The staff are so lovely and caring, and her key worker has been great. I feel like my daughter loves nursery and enjoys going every day, which is lovely. She is due to move up rooms now, and I’m sure she will miss her time in the younger room but we are excited to meet the team in the next room up! Would highly recommend the nursery.

Our son (age 2) has been going to Christopher Robin Day Nursery for the last year and loves it! There is a lovely, friendly atmosphere. His key worker has been brilliant and really took the time to understand and get to know him. They plan a wide range of activities and our son is always very excited to bring home his latest crafting creation. He recently moved up from Piglets to Kangas and the staff worked hard to ensure the transition was as smooth as possible. Very happy we chose Christopher Robin!

We were recommended Christopher Robin Day Nursery by a friend for our eldest and we weren't disappointed. She (4) adores it there. We settled our younger son (15-months) in September on my return to work and I'm so thrilled with how he's settled in. He has made a fantastic bond with his key worker and really enjoys the variety of activities. We particularly like the large outdoor space available at Burpham because both our children love being outside and the staff make sure they play outside as much as possible.

Our little boy started at Christopher Robin Day Nursery in the middle of lockdown so he had to begin his nursery journey without the usual induction visits. Despite this, from day one he was happy and settled, testament to the care and attention he received from the staff there. He has built up wonderful relationships with the adults in his room, particularly his key worker who he talks about all the time! The planning and resourcing of activities each day is fantastic and we’ve been so pleased with the progress he’s made over the last ten months. We would highly recommend this nursery and are so grateful to everyone at Christopher Robin for giving our son such a good start!

I cannot speak more highly about Christopher Robin Nursery. Both of my children attended over the last four years with my daughter just finishing her last day today prior to heading off to school. Looking back over the last four years I can honestly say that there really could not have been a more wonderful, warm, friendly and safe environment for my children to grow and develop. The calm leadership of the manager and the enthusiasm, pride and care that all the staff put into their every working day is exceptional. They all should be so proud of what they have achieved. To any new parent looking at childcare options then I cannot speak more highly of Christopher Robin Burpham.

My son joined the nursery at the age of four and spent there nearly one year, which is enough time to gather sufficient experience allowing me to write this review. First thing, which comes to my mind is, amazing place! Personally as a parent you always worry, "how is it going to be?", "will my child be happy?" - all those feelings/thoughts also came through my mind at the beginning of our journey, but already on day one we knew it: this is it! Our son settled very quickly, always - really always, came back home happy. The staff are very helpful, the management always there if you need them, kids are kept busy during the day with a good balance of indoor and outdoor activities (very important to me; note: spacious garden available) - all you need for your child in their early years. I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a nursery for your child. A nursery you can trust!

We have been very happy with Burpham nursery. All the staff are great, particularly the manager, who runs the nursery to a very high standard. Our daughter has enjoyed her time there and the outside facilities they have are great.

Both my daughters are attached to the nursery and absolutely loved it there as do I. The manager is doing an absolutely fantastic job and so are every single member of staff. We can't thank them enough for the amazing work they continue to do every day.

I can’t rate this nursery highly enough. My 2-year-old son has come on leaps and bounds developmentally since starting here, as did his older sister when she attended the same nursery previously. The staff are amazing with the children and the facilities are wonderful - my son particularly loves the huge outside space which was also one of the reasons we chose this nursery, which a lot of other nurseries don’t have. The children get to do so many different activities and to be able to log onto my son's page and see photos of what he has been doing is great!

The staff always seem really lovely and caring and are good at Covid safety. The drop-off/pick-up app is great to maintain social distancing and it's always quick getting them in and out. It's always great to see new photos every day on the Montessori site.

It is also important to say that in this very strange and difficult time, I do not have a single doubt about the safety and care this nursery provides, mega organised.

All your staff are reliable, respectful, caring, and fun-loving. You’re truly the best!

My son has been at the nursery for the last 2 years, he’s thoroughly enjoyed his time there, the staff have always been very professional and caring! Sad to be leaving, he/we have made some great friends!

I would thoroughly recommend Christopher Robin Burpham. Throughout the entire ‘settling in process,’ we felt well informed and comfortable with the level of personal care provided for our daughter. As a teacher, I know just how important safeguarding is and reading through the excellent procedures and policies provided me with all of the information I could ever need to know. Since starting, our daughter has been made to feel so welcome by the whole team, but particularly from her key person. Being one of the youngest children, it was heartwarming to see special toys and equipment introduced to the Piglet classroom just for her. Returning to work is difficult for any first time Mummy, and I can’t thank the team enough for making myself and my husband feel completely at ease. I know that our daughter is happy, safe and cared for. From the first nursery tour to picking up our bubbly little 11-month-old tonight, the team have made us feel like part of the family.

I have just had a very tearful farewell to Christopher Robin Day Nursery - Burpham. After 6 years of seeing both our children through their nursery years, as a family, we have come to regard the nursery and the staff as family, so it feels strange to be saying goodbye. Both children have been at the nursery from 5 months old. Leaving a baby this old to have to return to work is not easy, but the nursery and the amazing staff made this so much easier to bear. Both children enjoyed and looked forward to attending, and would come home happily discussing their day's activities. The nursery is incredibly well managed and we have valued their flexibility and approach, particularly when our second child had unexpected and serious health problems. The facilities, in particular the garden, are fantastic. I have been handed the most beautiful book of the nursery memories in pictures, and it shows just how much fun has been had. Thank you so much.

Having your first child is full of unknown amounts of worry. So more so than when we put our 1yr old into nursery and we were obviously anxious. We needn't have burned the calories worrying. Christopher Robin has been amazing from helping our little boy settle into making us feel comfortable to information sharing. It's been incredibly impressive. Even more impressive is the rapid development we have seen in our boy's cognitive skills, speech and general problem-solving skills. This has all been in the first 3 weeks! The team there are awesome and work hard to give all the kids love and support to grow. We're so happy we chose Christopher Robin Burpham and the team.

Areas, where I would like to see improvements, is technology. The nursery does offer an online portal to view a child's progress, but the experience is limited. Also, the entrance to the nursery could be enhanced with a key fob.
