Our little girl started in the middle room and is now in the preschool room. The staff are really easy to deal with. Management is excellent, clear and lots of fun is had by the children. We could feel more updated on the development of our little one as handovers tend to be very generic but Covid has
paid a large role in that recently.

Wonderful nursery. My daughter loves coming here, however, unfortunately, due to COVID-19 hasn’t been since March. She is very excited to come back in September to see her friends and all the staff upstairs. Always very clean. Good facilities and all the staff are lovely. Highly recommend.

Currently our son attends Cherubs and really enjoys going. He has flourished in his speech and communication since starting nursery. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and have a real passion for their job.

Lovely friendly staff. My children needed holiday care and they very much enjoyed their time at nursery.
Will continue to use for term time care.

Best nursery for children with disability. Our little boy is on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder and commenced the nursery as non-verbal. By the end of the year and with the support of our private speech and language therapist, our boy now communicates! Staff have been so helpful and followed all instructions
made by the SALT. They used the pictures, sign languages given to them and games to do with our little boy. The staff made sure that children in the room understood him and gave him his space. Change for our little boy is hard but the staff are so caring and so diligent that the transition was easy. The use of video cameras reassured us at the beginning but because of the incredible staff and managerial staff, we soon stopped watching. Staff are remarkable at identifying triggers that makes our boy upset and know how to act. The use of the sensory room is also amazing. The children are always busy and really look happy! A special thank you to our boy key persons, they are fabulous!

Cherubs is fantastic - both children have gone through and loved it. A range of fun activities is provided every day, information shared with parents about what they've been up to (on boards and online); there is always a brilliant warm, fun atmosphere in the pre-school room whether it's full or a quiet
day. There is a range of ages in there and they all seem to be learning at their own pace (certainly my son has learnt a huge amount from Cherubs).

The outdoor area is great - they get outside for a good play pretty much every day, with cover in hot weather. Bikes, buggies, sandpit, climbing on the logs and water play are my son's favourites; he also loves forest school sessions.

My 3-year-old dropped down this year from long days to just school hours and they have been great at being flexible on the odd days I've needed longer days for him.

Staff evidently care about the children and know them well.

We would highly recommend it to anyone.

Both of my children have attended Cherubs. I could not ask for more from a nursery; the staff are professional, caring and dedicated. More importantly, the children are very happy there and have formed good relationships with their key workers.

The children are stimulated and offered a wide range

of activities, including group trips to ‘the Wild Woods’ (a few minutes walk away) for Forest School. The numeracy and literacy education for the older ones is first rate and my eldest was well prepared for school when she moved up.

My son has been attending Cherubs for eight months now and I have found the staff to be caring and diligent in their jobs. My son is quite shy and suffers from separation anxiety but the team in the baby room have really helped him feel safe and settled. They do lots of activities like painting, playing
in the sand, reading and singing and even trips out for the day. I would highly recommend this nursery. It is fantastic value for money.

My 3 year old son has been at Cherubs part time ever since he was a 9 month old baby. He has always been happy to go and has a great time there. The outside play area is well organised and the kids have loads to play with. Forest school sessions were great in the summer and Saltbox music visit weekly.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.918)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.918) out of 10 for Cherubs Nursery & After Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.862 for Cherubs Nursery & After Care is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 58 Ratings = 4.862
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.056 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Nursery & After Care is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 number of registered child places is 9. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 9 = 0.556
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
