Really pleased with Cherubs. My son loves it there and no wonder, he is always greeted with a big smile every morning. Overall the place seems to have a lovely atmosphere and all of the kids (and parents) seem happy, which is really reassuring. They keep me updated on a daily basis re food, naps and
other child-related issues so I am always happy that my son is thriving there and is happy. It is also really nice to have the CCTV access to be able to check in every now and again and see him playing happily.

I transferred my daughter here when she was 3.5 in preparation for school. This nursery has far exceeded my expectations in regards to her learning and education. She is well ahead with her phonics and number recognition. Her writing and pen control has greatly improved. She has been given a great start
in her education. My daughter has additionally made some great friends here through their play sessions. The staff are friendly and my daughter bonded very well with her key worker (even called her a second mum at one point). If I have had an issue the team are always happy to discuss it and resolve it quickly. The only improvement I could suggest is more feedback thought the app would be welcomed but I'd rather the staff spend the time with the children rather than administration. Would definitely recommend this nursery to others looking to jump start their children's formal education! Well done team!

Cherubs is a fantastic place for children to play and develop whilst growing up. Both my children have/are attending cherubs and always look forward to going, the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

It is in a great location next to the local primary school which makes pick up and drop off easy.

Cherubs is an excellent nursery and I would definitely recommend to others. Friendly and happy staff and my little one loves going.
Lots of play time inside and out as well as crafting, learning and cooking. Along with visits from firefighters and police to name a few!

Our daughter has been at Cherubs since April 2024, when we transferred her from another local nursery. She was happy and confident going in from day 1 and we haven't had any concerns at all during her time here.

We appreciate the efforts to expose the children to different things (for example fire

engine or lamb visits!) and the regular focus on phonics with Robot Reg. our daughter is confident in phonics and number recognition and we can see that the Cherubs team have contributed to her being excited and ready for the transition to school in September.

We have sent not one, not two, but all three of our children to Cherubs Nursery & After Care! All of our little ones started at Cherubs as young babies, and Cherubs were wonderful at welcoming them, caring for them and helping them develop into children that were fantastically well-prepared for primary
school. The facilities are clean, bright and cheerful, and the staff are genuinely fabulous. They are caring, helpful and competent and our kids have never once been reluctant to go to nursery. We have been so impressed with the reading, writing and counting skills that the children have been taught at Cherubs, and they have also all loved the fun activities and games that take place. The staff put so much effort into organising special days, such as the nativity play, and special meals or events for Halloween, Bonfire night, World Book Day, Chinese New Year to name a few. Overall, I can't recommend Cherubs highly enough as a wonderful place to care for young children.

We absolutely love Cherubs Nursery & After Care - our son has been there (in the toddler and then Pre School room) for about 8 months and we couldn’t be happier! We had a bad experience with another nursery and so were extremely happy when we got a place here. They are always doing different activities
with the children, with our son often bringing home items he has baked and painted. The staff are excellent and have brilliant communication between themselves and with the parents - the online portal is regularly updated with pictures and information on their day which is lovely to see. I would recommend this nursery to everyone

We have been so pleased with Cherubs Nursery & After Care, our Little Boy has been very happy here and our Little girl will be joining them in September. Careful consideration is really thought out to the transitions between rooms for the different age groups and the key workers that are allocated.
The staff are very supportive and communication is brilliant. Would recommend to everyone.

My daughter has been attending Cherubs Nursery & After Care since April 2021 and absolutely loves it! (She has been in the baby room, pooh room and has started settling in sessions in the pre school zone). All of the staff take the time to get to know each child and the bonds they form are invaluable.
Since attending Cherubs my daughter's language, manners, counting, shapes, confidence, colours, potty training and many more things have really improved, everyone is kind, helpful and my daughter speaks of them all fondly and looks forward to seeing everyone after a weekend or holiday. As a working mum I honestly feel that the staff go above and beyond to be accommodating and help you wherever they can, I will be sad to say goodbye to Cherubs when primary school starts and will definitely be making use of the wrap around care they offer.

The nursery has been so helpful in what has been a very difficult period for us as a family. Always willing to go the extra mile, and while doing so, have been so good with my child. He's always happy to go in and leaves chatting at 100mph about everything he's done. A great nursery.

Both of our children have been to Cherubs and I can't rate it highly enough. The staff genuinely care for the children and work hard to build strong relationships with families. They are always ready with a cuddle and reassuring word for the children (and are always available for the panicky parent
too!)
The standard of early years education is very high- my daughter began foundation stage at her primary school with a confident, well-founded knowledge of phonics and numeracy, well above that provided by other local nursery settings, and Cherubs fosters a great love of learning. My son comes home every day having learnt something new.
The special events, such as the amazing nativity play, bonfire night celebrations, visitors, and charity events are all great fun and testament to the energy and dedication of the staff. I thoroughly recommend Cherubs to anyone looking for an excellent independent nursery with a caring family ethos.

We have two sons who have both attended Cherubs from 10 months old and have loved every minute. Our eldest is now at primary school and the nurturing and fun-loving care that the staff gave to him throughout, has more than prepared him. Our youngest now attends and bounces in and out every day. We have
never had any issues, they make everything easy for us and have coped admirably throughout the pandemic.

Since moving our two boys from another nursery, we were naturally anxious about the change. However, Cherubs were fantastic at welcoming both our boys and us as parents. Nearly 2 years later and we can't fault this wonderful, local nursery. Their staff have been friendly, caring, welcoming, calming
and lovely role models. Their efforts throughout the pandemic are also worthy of recognition, with regular communications, the wearing of PPE and the restriction on mixing of 'bubbles', we have felt safe and reassured in sending our youngest for periods throughout. We thoroughly recommend Cherubs.

We have had 2 children at Cherubs Nursery over the last 3 years and we love it. The level of phonics and learning is excellent, our son was very prepared for school and had phonics education more advanced than his peers elsewhere. Taking your own food mans you have control over what they eat and is
more economical. The staff are all wonderful. The garden is small and from the outside it doesn't look like much, but please don't judge them on this. The love and care for the children is outstanding. OUr children love going to nursery, have always been happy and have never not wanted to go in. We would highly recommend Cherubs!

Cherubs has been the most wonderful start for our son and now our daughter. There has never been a tear shed or a protest about going; they both run in and bounce out. The staff are caring, funny and genuinely interested in what they do. Now my eldest has started school, it is very clear how well prepared
Cherubs has made him for his transition into big school and how ahead he is with phonics than some of his peers who have never done them.

My daughter had a lovely time at Cherubs. She started as a baby at ten months old and settled extremely quickly. She was always happy to go and enjoyed her time there. She attended the pre-school in later years. The staff were always friendly and worked hard to make sure there was a variety of play
and opportunities for her. They established good relationships with the children. They are also flexible which really helped!

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.918)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.918) out of 10 for Cherubs Nursery & After Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.862 for Cherubs Nursery & After Care is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 58 Ratings = 4.862
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.056 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Nursery & After Care is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 number of registered child places is 9. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 9 = 0.556
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
