Abingdon Kindergarten Ltd - Long Furlong

My daughter started in the preschool room and had never previously been to a nursery so I was very worried about how she would settle but all the staff have been amazing and given her all the patience, encouragement, and support she has needed to feel secure and now she talks about them at home all the time. She has loved spending time with the ducks in the garden and this is definitely a highlight of her day. I love I get a full update of her day including pictures via the app so I can see just how much she enjoys her time at nursery. The activities she gets up to are always exciting and varied so I know she is having the best day while there. Thank you to all staff for making her feel so welcome at Abingdon Kindergarten.

We have sent all three of our children here over the last 5 years and are very happy with the care they have received and the overall standard of the nursery. I would recommend them to any parents looking for a trustworthy nursery.

We always get excellent and prompt feedback from the staff, when we pick up my daughter or through the communication app. Thanks to the patience from them, especially from her key person, my daughter adapted to nursery in a very short time, even if she only started at 9 months old. I heard that in the very beginning, to let her nap as her routine, she was held in arms for 30 mins long. The communication app is efficiently updated so that we can see her daily life and pictures. We love to read the summary by the end of each day! This is an amazing experience, especially during the lockdown. We appreciate a lot, the care they give to my daughter and we enjoy checking her development observations documented in the app. The most important thing is that my daughter although cannot speak yet, shows that she cannot wait to go to nursery every morning as she always pulls her coat and smiles when I ask if she wants to play with her key person.

A lovely nursery with such caring staff. My girls love coming here! The forest school was a highlight for them and they always talk about how much fun they have had with the staff. I would recommend anyone to send their children here.

My daughter has been going to this nursery for 2-years, and she loves it. Ultimately this is what matters! From the perspective of a parent, we haven't faced any issues and are thoroughly happy with our choice (we had a choice of 3 when we were deciding where to send her). The staff are always friendly - the nursery isn't huge, so there's a nice family feel. We love the app they use to share daily updates and pictures. There's been a recent change in management, which so far, is showing to be a really positive thing - for example, there's been a focus on revamping the interior and facilities and equipment and real energy and positivity in communications and activities the children have been doing. All in all, we would absolutely recommend the nursery.

Our 1-year-old son settled quickly and now loves it here. The staff are wonderfully caring and attentive and if we have anything to raise they are quick to respond. We love the updates we get every day on the app about the variety of activities he does. We feel he is well known as an individual and that they make an effort to help him in the areas he needs to develop (e.g. movement). We are very happy to drop him off here each day knowing he will have fun and be well looked after.

Abingdon Kindergarten is a great nursery; it has a small family feel to it and the staff are enthusiastic and dedicated. My children go in excited every morning and come out with smiles on their faces every evening. The staff work hard to build close bonds with the children and are really able to ignite a love of learning in the children especially in the pre-school room. Their excellent handling of changes in procedures due to COVID has not affected the children or impacted on their daily experiences and illustrates just how well the nursery is run and managed. I would highly recommend Abingdon Kindergarten.
