Abingdon Kindergarten Ltd - Long Furlong

There have been many staff changes in our time which may have been the cause of a few communication delays but hopefully this is all in the past with the recent appointment of Jess as manager who has worked at the nursery for years. All staff have always shown so much care towards our son and we hope our daughter will have a similar positive experience when she starts in September.

One star less for the accounting which was a bit rocky at the beginning (but all fell back into place quickly) and because they don't provide lunches (you bring a lunch box). Part of the Garden was ongoing some improvement (and it will be amazing!)

Staff are absolutely incredible. They could not do more for us as a family. They have been nothing but supportive and strive to push children forward and help their development. I can not put into words how amazing the team are. They really care about the children and families too. I'm so glad my son attends this nursery. I have seen a huge development in my child. Thank you all so much!

We couldn't be happier with Abingdon Kindergarten.The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and create such a warm and welcoming environment .Communication with parents is excellent - we always feel included and informed about our child's progress. The genuine love and dedication of the team shines through, and it gives us such peace of mind knowing our child is so well looked after. Highly recommended!

I have two children in the nursery; one in pre-school and one in the baby room. Both love their time at the nursery. The elder has learnt so much in such a short time from being able to identify Australia on a globe to writing her own name at barely 3 years old. The younger is happy, content and sleeps well at nursery (I wish he slept that well at home!). There are many different activities including drawing, tuff tray exploration and even a visit to a baby spa!

My daughter has attended Abingdon Kindergarten for nearly two years. She is always so happy going to nursery and coming home. The staff are so lovely and caring. They do so many activities which I think is amazing, and my daughter always comes home telling us about them. I highly recommend this nursery.

Both my children are at ease in the nursery giving me the confidence to leave them each morning and know they are going to be happy, well cared for and nurtured.

Great activities and love themed activities for special days. Attentive to child's needs and high focus on development through play.

My son really enjoys attending Abingdon Kindergarten Ltd - Long Furlong. It has been amazing to watch him develop his skills and confidence. He comes home happy and able to tell me the new things he has learned that day. He can often be shy, so to see him go in each morning so happy and confident, knowing he is safe and cared for, fills me with reassurance.

I have taken my daughter to a different nursery before this one, but I’m so glad I moved to Abingdon Kindergarten. The staff know their children very well and the needs of each child. My daughter has come home many times telling me about her day and how she’s done various activities. The snacks and tea they provide have a very good variation and are healthy. The garden area also has a lot of different areas to explore and widens their imagination.

My son has been at the Nursery since he was 9 months old. He loves going. His key worker is amazing with him and every time I collect him he has had a brilliant day. They do lots with the children, including walking up to the local play park. The staff are so friendly and always really welcoming. The manager is fantastic and makes the nursery feel really warm and welcoming.

Our son had a wonderful time at this nursery, and now his younger sister has started there too - we were so happy with the service we wouldn't have sent her anywhere else. The manager brings sunshine wherever she goes and the teachers are lovely. The children have loads of fun, learn and are very well looked after.

We have a great experience with the nursery. Our 2.5 year old daughter loves the nursery. She is engaged in hearing stories, singing songs, outdoor plays, crafts and more. We receive an update every day on her progress and what has she been up to. Highly recommended nursery with a friendly environment.

My child has been attending Abingdon Kindergarten since she was 1. We had to choose a nursery in the middle of the covid pandemic and this one really stood out. The staff were kind and understanding whilst we were first time parents fretting about leaving our child! She is now in preschool and continues to love attending. We get updates at the end of the day via handover and a more in depth update via the app. The range of activities the children do ensures they are never bored and my word does she sleep well after a nursery day! She also enjoys the variety of snacks the nursery provides. I know she will miss the staff and her peers when she starts school.

We sent both our boys to Abingdon Kindergarten and they have loved it - our eldest is about to start Primary School and as we have moved away from Abingdon it makes practical sense to move our youngest, otherwise, he would have stayed. The staff are so caring and put so much effort into their activities with the children - ours regularly return home with backpacks full of craft materials and stories from the exciting things they’ve been up to, as well as namechecking the staff and other children they’ve been playing with that day. The nursery have been very accommodating with extra days of childcare during holiday periods, and are always informative on what is happening and coming up for nursery events. Thoroughly recommend.

We currently have our second child going through the nursery and have found them to be brilliant with both of your children. Our boys have loved going to the nursery and have felt supported and challenged in their learning by the staff there. My son was very well prepared for school there and had a great first year of primary as a result of his preschool experiences.

The nursery is excellent at providing the care and learning needed for babies and toddlers. We sent our daughter when she was 8 months old. She has grown to be quite independent and has picked up a lot of social skills that we would not have been able to impart by ourselves. Truly amazing development and thanks a lot to the nursery for encouraging her. Would highly recommend this place.

This is not the only nursery we have used but by far the best. The team are friendly and our little girl has loved it. Our only initial reservation was having to provide lunches - but given the superior experience this shouldn't put anyone off making this the preferred choice when looking at a nursery.

Really caring nursery and always there to help me out. My granddaughter loves it there. Really lovely staff who my granddaughter adores. Could not be happier with the service they provide. Good update emailed each day about what they have been up to.
