Our daughter has never been away from us before, so it was a big thing for us to leave her with somebody else.
We have been delighted to see how well she has settled into school life, and it was great to hear how she had developed and “fitted in”.
The team is very professional and friendly, and we
couldn’t be more pleased.

We're delighted with our son's experience at his new nursery. The variety of activities 1-2-1 focus on his learning and development and structured day are working brilliantly for him.
The staff are friendly, caring, knowledgeable and genuine in their care of him which he is responding well to and which
puts us at ease.
Keep up the great work and thank you.

The activities at St Lawrence Nursery are fabulous, from the forest school to swimming lessons, they have so much fun. The nursery and the rest of the school have a great ethos and promote a sense of place and belonging. The staff are all supportive to parents and children, I get updates by way of photos
and videos several times a day so I can be part of my sons day even whilst elsewhere. I would strongly recommend this nursery as we have all have an excellent experience.
Thank you St Lawrence College.

My daughters love going to St Lawrence College nursery. Not only to be joining "big" school with their siblings but because of the range of activities and facilities on offer.
The staff are very kind and caring and I feel very at ease with my children under their trusted supervision. It is also lovely
that they are part of the St Lawrence College community and join in on special days like sports day and nativities.

Our 3-year-old son started in September. He'd never been looked after by anyone but my husband and I.
The staff helped us and my son settled into his new routine.
My son absolutely loves nursery life which has made the transition to nursery a great experience for all.

My son has thrived since he started this nursery. He is happy, outgoing, eager to go to school and has learned so much academically, socially and emotionally. It is a great nursery, with incredible facilities for learning and playing, and the staff are extremely professional, friendly and caring. It
is a fun and safe place, where children learn a lot by playing and interacting with the environment, while the terrace garden and the forest behind the school complement the indoor facilities beautifully. I would recommend anyone to send their children to this nursery.

The staff have created a calm nurturing environment rich in different resources. There are lots of opportunities for child-led and teacher-led activities. Although my child didn't want to go to nursery the staff were helpful and kind and helped her settle. Once there she had a great day, talking at
length about making mud pies in the mud kitchen and the forest school and playing in the playground with her older brother.

My daughter comes home from nursery, tired, happy and full of fantastic bits of information about the activities she has taken part in. She adores the forest school visits to the school's own forest school site. She has really taken to the swimming lessons and has shown us during the holidays how
much more confident she is in the water. Her sounds and fine motor skills are greatly improving meaning she will be in a good position to build on this start once she starts school in earnest in reception. Staff are amazing, dedicated and helpful but most importantly kind and caring. The frequent updates on the "tapestry" online teaching assessment tool shows me pictures, clips and comments of my daughters activities and help us support her learning and enjoyment of nursery.
On top of this the additional PE, music and language lessons encourage her to try many new things. It is such a happy and supportive environment I wish it had been open when my son was younger.

We are a German family, having recently moved to Ramsgate.

The nursery at St. Lawrence is - as the rest of the school - absolutely excellent. Our son thoroughly enjoys going. We have seen him develop and grow into a confident little person. All my children love the school and all of them have flourished

so much since attending it. It is a happy place.

The team at the nursery is wonderful, making it a very special, caring environment. They are all great with the children. The facilities are fantastic.

We can highly recommend it!

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.188)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.188) out of 10 for St Lawrence College Junior School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for St Lawrence College Junior School is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.188 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Lawrence College Junior School is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 16 number of registered child places is 3.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 3.2 = 0.938
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
