Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Road Day Nursery

The staff at Woodlands have gone out of their way to help my son settle in and enjoy his days at nursery. The settling in period was so helpful for both of us and when he went through a phase of getting upset, they arranged extra sessions for him, made him a 'nursery book' for us to read with him at home and really made sure he felt at home there. He has a great time there now and a lovely relationship with the staff. I'm so pleased we chose Woodlands.

My 18-month-old little girl has been at Woodlands since she was 9 months and she absolutely loves it and is thriving. We chose Woodlands because her big brother has been with them for 4 years and we have found the staff and the manager to be wonderful throughout. The staff at the day nursery are without exception kind, attentive, caring and imaginative, providing a range of activities and learning for our daughter on a daily basis which we can see is helping her development enormously. She loves all the team but particularly the lady who looked after her as a baby, and her current key worker. She is always happy to be dropped off in the morning and has a lovely time, eating and sleeping well and enjoying her day. Thanks to all the team (including the person who keeps the nursery running smoothly, along with the manager!). My husband and I would recommend Woodlands in every way - you are brilliant.

Fab nursery, fab facilities and fab staff! My son has settled really quickly and I'm sure that is down to the very friendly and welcoming staff! I couldn't recommend Woodlands enough!

My 1-year-old started here in February and I really can’t praise the Nursery enough, it really is outstanding! During the initial settling we quickly established that my little girl was going to find settling tricky, so very quickly a bespoke settling approach was put into place, I can’t believe how well she has now settled! The plentiful amount of settling sessions personalised for each individual child is quite unique to Asquith Nurseries, most other nurseries would only offer 3 or 4. The staff and management are completely lovely and extremely knowledgeable. The learning environment is always beautifully set up with lots of lovely activities and areas for the babies to explore. I can ring up to see how she’s doing in the day and the staff are so accommodating. My little girl’s eating has really improved at home since starting nursery and she eats really well whilst there. The nursery has a real home from home feel and we feel very lucky that our little girl goes here.

My husband and I are absolutely delighted with the care that our daughter gets at Woodlands Day Nursery. She is so happy to attend and is developing into a really sociable toddler which we are so proud of. All the staff are lovely and we have total trust that she is benefiting positively from her days at nursery. We would 100% recommend to anyone looking for daycare.

On top of the fantastic care, our daughter's development has been phenomenal! She knows her colours, alphabet, animals and her language skills are amazing - no problems communicating with exactly what she wants and doesn't want! The staff really try hard to give their best efforts and we are thoroughly delighted with our daughter's progress. Thank you Woodlands.

Leaving our child with anyone was always going to be difficult but the extended (free) settling in period was a good experience and when our child started ‘for real’ we were comfortable that she was going to be safe and happy.

Management staff are excellent - welcoming and competent. Any questions have been addressed professionally - issues we had with vouchers/tax-free childcare were resolved swiftly.

I can’t speak highly enough of the nursery staff. Their attitude inspires confidence - coming from a father who was bewildered by the whole experience. Always a friendly welcome at drop-off and any requests are carried out. Pick-ups are a similarly good experience, with staff keen to spend time talking through our child’s day, no matter how busy they are.

The general ‘feel’ is a happy one, which is a tribute to the staff who work there. To maintain such a pleasant atmosphere, considering how taxing a job this must be, is impressive. Well done.

Fabulous nursery my son has learnt so much here, he started settling in at five months old now seven months. He did not take milk from a bottle and was very fussy when it came to sleeping. The girls and his key workers have done an amazing job. I also call twice a day and they are so accommodating. I am extremely happy with them.

Woodlands day nursery is brilliant. Our older child was at Woodlands right through till school so it made sense for our younger daughter to go there. All the staff are so friendly and look after the children so well. Our child is loving the interaction with other children and having a mix of learning and fun. Great day nursery. Would always recommend this place to family and friends.

My fourteen-month-old son loves nursery! The team here are really lovely and I trust them with my son implicitly. They seem to really care about his development, eating healthily and also having lots of fun! I highly recommend them.

I love this nursery. My son looks forward to coming here. He loves the staff members especially his key people. The garden is amazing, the toys and furniture etc are all new and great quality. I'd recommend Woodlands to anyone.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 3 months now and really enjoys it. She gets very excited seeing the team and loves being greeted with breakfast.

On pick up she is always in great spirits and very worn out by all the activities she has been doing throughout the day. I feel happy that she gets to play and learn with children the same age in a safe environment.

My 21 month old looks forward to her time at Woodlands. Her face lights up when she sees her friends. It's a joy to watch her development at home too, knowing that the amazing staff have helped make my daughter grow into the fantastic little human she has become.

Woodlands Day Nursery is the perfect nursery for under 2s! All toys and activities to suit ages and all staff are extremely loving and kind! Perfect sized garden, all specific for younger children. My son thoroughly enjoys all the messy activities that are provided! Highly recommend! Eldest son absolutely loves pre-school! He enjoys telling me about all the things that they've learnt about that day! The staff are amazing and are always finding different ways to interest the children - especially the boys! They spend a lot of time in the garden which he finds fab as it also wears him out! Highly recommend.

The nursery is a safe supportive environment for my son. They have a wide range of activities every day that keep them engaged. I am really happy with my son's key worker and the chance to meet them on a Saturday to track progress.

My three year old son recently had his settling in sessions at Woodlands, as he is due to start there in the New Year.

Whilst we were there I was extremely impressed with, not only the professionalism of the staff but also their friendly and well-organised setting. They took the time to get to know my son whilst he was there and he thoroughly enjoyed exploring the room and playing with the vast amount of stimulating toys and books available.

He enjoyed the outside setting just as much and loved sitting down with the other children to eat his cooked lunch.

When it was time for us to leave, he begged me to stay! I am looking forward to his learning journey beginning with Woodlands and feel relaxed in the knowledge he will thrive and have all his needs catered for. Five stars to Woodlands and all the staff!
