The Tiny Toes Nursery Club - Hertford

My daughter went to Tiny Toes from 2020 to 2023, then my son went from 2023 to 2026. Six years in total.

Both children absolutely loved it at Tiny Toes. They were happy, warm, clean and safe. The staff were all lovely, old and new.

During those six years Karina (the manager) navigated a pandemic, ownership change, expansions etc and deserves special praise for how she has run the nursery.

Many of the staff members are still at the nursery having been there for both children's development, over six years, and were loved by both.

Compared to other nurseries nearby the facilities, such as outdoor space, are smaller but they make up for it in heart tenfold.

We have no regrets.

We couldn't be happier with our experience. Our little boy settled in so well, despite me being very apprehensive about him starting. The staff have been so compassionate and understanding throughout. His key worker, Kelly, is fantastic and genuinely cares about the children. They do such lovely activities that he really enjoys. Thank you to the whole team for making his transition such a positive one!

Overall, this nursery provides a safe, loving, and high-quality environment, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for exceptional care.

My daughter has been attending Tiny Toes since May, first in the baby room and now in the toddler room. We are so thrilled with how well she settled in and how she loves her days at the nursery. At drop off, she doesn't even look back at us as she's raring to go off on her day's adventures and she always seems happy and calm in her surroundings as we arrive to collect her. The food offerings are varied and nutritious and the activities offering each day also seem to be varied with loads of opportunities for the kids to learn. Our daughter happily sings the alphabet song to us, which is not something she's learnt from home. I honestly couldn't fault the nursery and I'm glad that our initial positive impression of the place has not been changed. A particular shoutout to our girl's key worker, Kat, who is knowledgeable and kind in keeping her happy and safe. Similarly, Lucy and Maureen are credits to the team and it's clear that the babies love them all. Thank you Tiny Toes.

Our daughter started at Tiny Toes at 7 months old and our experience has been nothing but excellent. The staff are all very warm, welcoming, accommodating, caring and you can feel the enthusiasm every time at drop off, which made it easy for our daughter to settle and be happy each day. The new baby room is fantastic and provides great indoor and outdoor space for play and learning - the parent drop off/reception area is a great addition! Communication has been consistently brilliant. The Manager is always responsive, flexible and helpful, which has proved invaluable when we have queries. Our key worker is wonderful and has built a great bond with our daughter. We also really value the daily diary updates and regular photos, which give real insight into her day. We would happily recommend Tiny Toes to any parents.

I'm so glad that we were able to secure a place for my son at Tiny Toes. Amy has been my son's key worker from 6 months to 2, and she has just been incredible for us and for him. They have the most wonderful bond still to this day, and it brings a lot of comfort to us to know that he's been looked after someone who loves him as much as we do. He's since moved into the new room and has Jodie as his key worker now, who has been equally as amazing and who is just as caring - we've been so lucky to have such a lovely group of women taking care of our son, it's such a scary time going back to work and making the decision to leave your child with someone else, but everyone is really lovely and you can tell all the children love going.

Our daughter has been attending Hertford Tiny Toes since she was 9 months old and we could not be happier with the care she has recieved. From her settles it was clear to myself and her dad that the staff wanted to learn all they could about her to make sure she was happy in their care. She has strong relationships with all the staff but a particular fondness for Kat (toddler room leader) who has looked after her since she joined in baby room and knows her so well. She always gives her the biggest of hugs when she sees her. Lucy is her key worker and got to know her very well, very quickly and shares that with us each time we see her which we love. It's so reassuring to know that she is with people who love and care for her. She will talk about the staff and children so fondly at home. The staff and nursery are welcoming, friendly and caring towards the children. They have always eased any of our worries and concerns and our daughter happily runs in to them each day!

Overall I can't speak more highly of Tiny Toes and would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. Thank you team Tiny Toes!

Our son started 6 months ago and what a lovely journey we have had. He took some time to settle and adjust to being away from home, but was lovingly supported by Kelly, his key worker, and the rest of the team. The new baby room, is a lovely space, and seeing the ducks are a hit. Kelly has been such a positive ball of energy with boundless enthusiasm for our son and his development. I really appreciate the individual attention and detailed observations that Kelly and Karina offer him. The team are supportive and have great communication when there is sickness or if we have any requests or workarounds are needed. I love that we chose Tiny Toes.

My son loves going into nursery. His key workers, Kelly when he was 1 and now Daisy, have been amazing and he absolutely loves them. We get beautiful updates from them and they are always supportive when there's any change, like potty training. My daughter attended Tiny Toes before going to school and she skipped into nursery happily every day, too. I've always felt like this was the right nursery for my children and have recommended it to anyone I know locally looking for childcare for pre-school children. The staff are some of the loveliest people I've met and I have total confidence in them.

Our daughter began attending tiny toes at 10 months, but we had her name down from when I was 12 weeks pregnant. From day 1 we were really impressed with the nursery and in particular how flexible and friendly the staff were. The baby room is fantastic and has a lovely outside area. The children take part in exciting activities daily and they follow a curiosity approach, which really suits our daughter. Our daughter has settled brilliantly after a few settling sessions and absolutely loves going to nursery. Although she has formed a brilliant relationship with her key worker, we feel all of the staff have really got to know our daughter in a relatively short space of time. We couldn't recommend tiny toes more.

Before putting our son into a preschool room in a Nursery at the age of 3, we looked around MANY nurseries. We needed a term time, funded only hours place and it turned out that wasn't really a thing or there were lots of caveats with extra things to pay for but not at Tiny Toes. Nothing was too much for them, they were open and friendly and as much as possible, were willing to accommodate our needs. The preschool room - we can't comment on the upstairs baby room but our son talks about the babies coming downstairs so they do exist! - had a wonderful feel to it and we have never regretted our decision to send him there. The staff are lovely, warm and welcoming and we know that our son is safe, having a lovely time and is incredibly well fed - we often think that we should be going for meals there. What a particular staff member creates for the children is just amazing. There is excellent communication from the staff both face-to-face and via email/the app they use to give updates. It's great!

My eldest daughter started Tiny Toes back in January 2019 and we have been there ever since! My youngest is due to finish in July to start school and I will be so sad to say goodbye to the Tiny Toes team as they are just so truly wonderful and caring. I've never considered any other nursery as the nurturing approach combined with the encouragement of independence and curiosity is spot on. Communication from staff is also fantastic. Some staff have been there the entire time, which is testament to the supportive environment, and my children have loved their time there. Highly recommend.

We noticed and appreciated the small improvements made under the new ownership, particularly the opportunity to engage with other parents at social events organised by the nursery. This allowed us to establish relationships with parents of other children that my son had developed particular bonds with and who we are still in contact with now for playdates. We have such fond memories of Tiny Toes and were very sad to leave. I would definitely recommend Tiny Toes to anyone in the area looking at nurseries.

My child loves going to The Tiny Toes Nursery. The staff are brilliant and form strong bonds with the children. They provide a wide range of activities and a wonderful, varied menu, given my child the opportunity to try so many different foods. I am so happy with the experience my child is getting.

My daughter attended The Tiny Toes Nursery Club for two years, having been to a different nursery prior to that. They supported her transition wonderfully and helped her develop confidence and compassion. She is now in year 1 and still has vivid, fond memories of Tiny Toes and requests some of her favourite foods from the chef's excellent repertoire. We didn't think twice about sending our son, who started eight months ago, and he is having an equally wonderful experience. The team are nurturing, child-centred and accommodating. Couldn't recommend them more. They don't have the biggest outside space but they take the children for walks regularly and take advantage of the proximity to Hartham.

Really impressed with Tiny Toes. My son absolutely loves it and has settled in so well and a lot faster than I anticipated. All the staff are so lovely and warm. Whenever I have a query, they are very quick to respond and explain. I will be keeping my son (2) here until he is of compulsory school age because he loves it. I would definitely recommend it to any parent looking at nurseries within the area.

Wonderful, caring and knowledgeable staff, lovely open-ended resources, fabulous recent refurbishment, staff are always happy to discuss questions and any concerns. We are very lucky to be part of the Tiny Toes family.

Met my son's needs and taught him some sign language when he first joined as he didn't really talk, love the staff and my son loves being there and playing with his friends. Being autistic they understand.
