Sunhill Royston is a welcoming setting located in the heart of the community. The setting follows a Montessori approach to education, which prioritises the growth and development of each child, in a supportive and engaging space designed for them to learn and thrive.

Children can enjoy a spacious environment, with free flow access to the garden space and a plethora of resources and activities designed to promote development and engage children each day. With a focus on child-led activities, the team spend time getting to know the children they care for in order to promote experiences that complement their personalities and encourage them to follow their natural curiosities.

With the environment in mind, this organic-enhanced nursery ignites curiosity, sparks creativity, and promotes well-being. Children enthusiastically participate in nurturing plants, caring for their growth, and harvesting their own produce, gaining essential knowledge about plant life, a variety of fruits and vegetables, and culinary skills.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. These unique learning opportunities include child-friendly cooking classes as well as organic growing and food classes. Impressed with the range of activities my baby has been involved with. Staff are attentive and helpful. Would prefer a bigger and more natural outdoor space (grass/trees), but that is restricted by location.

I was initially very nervous about putting my then 2-year-old into the nursery as she had not socialised much with other children her own age due to Covid. Sunhill really put my mind at rest and sent regular updates via their app, which is very easy to use. This didn't stop after her settling week,
and I love seeing how she is getting on. The nursery was able to be flexible to my working schedule, which is a massive help for me getting the balance right between home and work. The lady in the office communicates regularly with parents and is always a welcoming face as you come into the building. It's very secure, and she runs a tight ship! My daughter has been going to Sunhill for nearly six months now, and she has a wonderful time there. The key workers in my daughter's room are so attentive, and I can tell they know my daughter well. They are all amazing and do such a wonderful job; they are a credit to the nursery. I would definitely recommend it.

Since starting here, my son has developed very well. He has become a lot more social, and his speech has come on a massive amount. He always enjoys himself, and I am kept up to date with lots of photos and information about his day. The staff are very friendly and know exactly what they are doing. We

We have been so impressed with the quality of care for both our children at Sunhill. Our daughter is now in school, but our son still attends, and despite moving away from the town, we chose to keep his place here. Tmanager has achieved wonderful things in uncertain times, the staff are so attentive
and caring, and he is really happy there. We couldn’t be happier with Sunhill and will be really sad when our son leaves next year.

My daughter has attended Sunhill since March 21. I was really apprehensive about leaving her and returning to work (even only part-time). But she settled in really well and now really enjoys her time at nursery. She is always so cheerful when I collect her and appears well looked after. She appears
to have been busy and stimulated during the day. The staff are caring and helpful. They seem responsive to her needs. I’ve no idea how they get her to eat all her meals! She never does this at home!
We love getting updates on the app about her day. My only criticism is that we never seem to receive the ones from later in the day/dinner time.
Overall, we’re very happy.

Both my kids are going to the Sunhill Nursery Royston. One of them started at the age of 9-months and is now in pre-school, and I couldn't be happier with how things are handled. Notifications through the app is a blessing in these pandemic times, and the thorough assessments we get let me know he's
is super happy, learning through play and also enjoying the vast and diverse set of activities that are put in place for their cognitive development.
My other one just started and is with a very happy sentiment that I see him going to his carers who go above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and happy in this sensitive time of being away from his parents in a new environment.
Couldn't recommend this place more! People, there are absolutely fantastic!

My son (now two and a half) has been at Sunhill since he was 4-months-old and they have done a terrific job at looking after him. I was so worried initially about leaving him there when he was a baby as he suffered terribly with severe silent reflux and a milk allergy. At the time, we were struggling
to get him into a routine with his sleep, and he required medication throughout the day and a special dairy-free formula, but they all took it in their stride and took great care of him. The staff worked with us as best they could while we got to the route of his health issues and adhered to our guidelines whilst trying to get him into a routine. Fast forward to now, and he is thriving! Despite being on a very restrictive diet (no gluten, dairy, soya or citric acid), he is still provided with a variety of healthy food and doesn't miss out on anything. He's very sociable and happy there and has formed close bonds with some of the careers and his peers. I would definitely recommend Sunhill.

Very happy with the level of care provided. I'm kept updated with pictures and notes throughout the day of naps, meals and activities. The staff are all very friendly and professional. They provide a high level of care but also work hard to provide activities to engage and nurture. Able to fit around
shift patterns and term time only. Easy to park and collect.

My son joined Sunhill back in June 2020 at the start of Covid so a very difficult situation for everyone especially a first time mum leaving their little one for the first time. All staff have been so professional from day one, friendly and bubbly even in this tough time. My son has settled in so well
and has come on leaps and bounds and that is due to the staff at Sunhill. He is so happy here. A massive relief for us.

Our daughter started Sunhill four months ago and settled in quickly. The staff are great and have a good focus on the development of individual children. We have been very pleased with the progress our daughter has made since starting, and she seems very happy there. The facilities and space are really
well planned, and we especially like the fact that each room has access to outside space, which seems to be utilised well, even over the colder months.

I have both my children at Sunhill Montessori and I'm really pleased with how they are cared for.
The only thing that I would suggest would be an increase in pay for the staff. This would probably reduce the high turnover.

Sunhill staff seem happy and enjoy being with the children. This, for us, is the most important consideration for choosing a nursery where our children will thrive.
The manager is great, although sometimes has to deal with unhelpful mistakes from head office.
We really appreciate how caring and supportive
she is.
