We have been over the moon with the support and welcome we have received from Demi and Caitlin. They had both been very informative and clear about our son's routine and what was needed to be brought with him for his settle in sessions and first week at nursery. We were quite anxious about leaving him and having the trust there, however this developed fast and we already feel a good rapport starting with both Demi and Caitlin. We hope to speak to more of the rest of the staff as we become more familiar when dropping and collecting our son.

Thank you for your understanding & kindness to us. We loved, in particular, that Demi checked in on how we were feeling for us sons first day at the practice and that meant a lot to us. Caitlin has been so caring with Bertie and really informative on collections and updates us well on Bertie's day. She has also sent in updates on the app, which is a great reassurance for us.

We look forward to watching Berties journey with Kindred!

Our daughter started attending the nursery in March, and we honestly couldn't be happier with our experience so far.

Since Demi took over Kindred Church, the communication has been fantastic. She is incredibly kind, understanding, and it's clear she genuinely loves what she does. She always goes above and beyond to help and support families, and that really shines through in the warm and welcoming environment she has created.

Charley and Edith have also played such an important role in helping our daughter settle in so well. They always make sure we're kept updated and reassured, which has meant so much to us as parents. Thank you both for being so caring and welcoming.

The staff make a real effort to plan activities around our daughter's interests, which we really appreciate and shows how much they care about the children as individuals.

We feel completely confident leaving our daughter in the care of the team, and we're so grateful she gets to attend such a lovely nursery.

My son has been attending Kindred Church House for 8 months, we are so so lucky to have such a wonderful nursery so close by. Our son has come on leaps and bounds, learning lots of skills and building confidence. He has fully settled, is comfortable in the environment and with all the staff, he walks in and barely looks back.
Whilst there has been a period of adjustment due to a number of staff and management turnaround for a variety of reasons since October, I'm pleased to say everything has settled down. New staff are all lovely and I love the new changes that have been put in place.
I truly do need to praise at how wonderful all the staff are, they are so supportive and friendly and feel they help create that community spirit. They make me feel comfortable to leave my son in their safe and capable care.

As a nursery setting, its a great building with different age appropriate areas. I am given daily updates via the app on my son's care but also nursery events and messages.

Really good experience with this nursery especially since they have been under new management. The contact with parents is consistent and I feel that staff really care about my child. They listen to feedback and do what they can to make improvements. My child seems to really enjoy it and clearly shows excitement to be there. I feel they are well equipped and the building is lovely and spacious. They ensure dietary requirements are met and additional nappy checks are in place where needed. The only improvements I would like to see are regarding drop off and collection. I feel an outdoor cover for those rainy and very sunny days waiting outside for opening time would be beneficial. It would be great if the children were ready for collection with coats and shoes on as they can be given notice of collection times. Also if the door could be better monitored as we have waited 5 minutes and sometimes longer to be let inside to collect our child.

I had two daughters attend this nursery - one before and one after it became Kindred Church House. Before it became Kindred Church House, it felt warm and nurturing, with friendly staff we knew, and it was a lovely space. After the change, the atmosphere shifted: the space became overcrowded and chaotic as the number of children doubled, staff seemed overwhelmed, and cleanliness declined. Drop-offs and pick ups lost their personal touch with nobody at the door which also felt less secure, and I saw staff being snappy with children. There were always new staff but no introductions so we didn't know who anybody was and often my daughter didn't know them either. I raised concerns about unhealthy breakfast options, but the manager was unreceptive and defensive. That said, my daughter's key workers, Devon and Purdy, were excellent - caring and communicative. Ultimately, we withdrew our younger daughter early and moved her to a school preschool.

I have removed my daughter from this nursery due to the poor standard of care and lack of effective management. What was once an Outstanding setting has deteriorated rapidly, hygiene is poor, the environment feels unclean, and the nursery now relies heavily on agency staff with little continuity for the children.
Most of the experienced team have left, and leadership appears disorganised and dismissive of parental concerns. Safeguarding and basic welfare standards have slipped, and communication is consistently poor.

It's deeply concerning that such a previously high-quality nursery has declined to this extent. I would not recommend Kindred Royston Church House Nursery until serious improvements are made in management, hygiene, and staffing stability

Having had two children at The Orchards/Church House, it's been very disappointing to see the decline in care. The Orchards was once outstanding (see below reviews)- caring staff, creative activities, and strong communication - but since the changeover in 2024 it feels very different.

Over the past year there has been constant staff turnover at all levels, leaving little continuity of care. Capacity has doubled but quality hasn't kept up: more incidents (especially biting), minimal updates at pickup or via the app, and no creative activities, outings, or artwork coming home. Despite raising concerns, nothing has improved. The new manager is unhelpful, often making mistakes and making room moves and key worker changes due to numbers rather than children's wellbeing.

After three years I hardly know the staff anymore, and my children no longer seemed to benefit from their time here. Sadly, we've since moved our youngest to another setting, which has managed to maintain the high standar

We have been so blessed by this preschool setting. The environment is so family-like, with real care and nurturing for the children as individuals. It's real, person-centred care for the child. They don't just 'look after' the children but care for them and their specific needs, bringing out and nurturing their own personal interests. We are a Christian family and since day one they have been so inclusive of our faith, understanding of our preferences due to our faith and even encouraging!

They have really cared for this very important part of my son's life. With parents they really stand out by the way they get us involved, inviting us in regularly, updating us consistently on our child's development and learning, and amazing activities they provide daily. They make us feel part of our child's journey at preschool. The staff are so welcoming, warm and genuine. From the manager all the way through the nursery staff to the chef, the passion and care shines through.

This is such a lovely nursery. The staff know our little boy as well as we do and he has such a great day there. He also has multiple allergies, which the staff have taken entirely in their stride and I trust them absolutely. They go above and beyond to make sure he has a varied and nutritious diet and never feels left out.

I think the fact my daughter regularly asks to go to nursery on a Saturday and Sunday speaks for itself really! My 2-year-old is currently at this nursery and my son has since left to go to school and for both children, we could not have asked for a better environment. Knowing they go into such a well-managed, enriching and caring setting, with staff who genuinely care about them and their well-being, definitely helps with the guilt of juggling work and childcare. The breadth of activities they do and the support they get in their development are amazing and it's so lovely to see my little girl so happy at the end of the day. We feel very lucky to have found this nursery.

We've always been impressed with the level of care and attention from the staff. They really get to know the children and provide detailed and regular updates on progress with respect to learning, activities, even what they've been eating etc.
