Sunhill Day Nursery Berkhamsted

My daughters are thriving at Sunhill Montessori. I love the staff and the outside space. they are super flexible with our unusual attendance pattern and we have noticed a huge improvement in my youngest's language skills since starting.

My little boy is extremely confident and can be quite a handful. His keyworker understands him, takes the time to listen and discipline or cuddles as the situation needs. He always looks forward to coming in for the activities and play with his friends. We are extremely pleased with his progress and the attention he gets. The Manager is absolutely fantastic and the nursery wouldn't be the same without her.

With my daughter at Sunhill Montessori, I have 100% confidence in her care and can work worry-free.

We have been really happy with the way Sonhill has supported my child (and us) in settling into the new environment. We have found the staff to be very friendly and understanding of our needs, allowing us to call to find out how she is and reassuring us that she is fine. Her key worker communicates to us both verbally and through her 'daily diary'. It is wonderful to hear about what she has been exploring and learning. Although it has taken her a while to settle, it is wonderful to see her become calmer and happier when dropping off and picking up, it is clear that she feels safe with them.

Seeing her table manners improve at home as a result of the boundaries nursery clearly set when eating together during sessions has also been wonderful to see.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The nursery manager is lovely. My son is very happy playing there. He is well-looked after. They offer a variety of food with well-cooked meals. My son's key workers have been excellent. He likes them a lot. When they are not there, other staff can always tell me about what he has been doing and how he has behaved. They are positive and encouraging. The outside space is great.

I cannot thank the staff and management at Sunhill Montessori Berkhamsted enough for helping my little boy to settle at nursery. He was not coping well but with their care, flexibility and understanding he is beginning to enjoy his time. He has a great room with a variety of toys and a wonderful garden which is perfect for burning off toddler energy. In addition to being wonderful with the children, the staff have shown such care and compassion towards me as a teary Mum struggling to let go!

We have loved Sunhill Montessori for our daughter. We always felt confident that she was cared for with kindness. She always had a wonderful time at the nursery. She particularly loved the range and varied outside space and time to play and explore outside every day. The manager and her team are dedicated to the care of the children and to the success of the nursery as a whole. I have been extremely happy.

The manager and the whole team have been utterly fantastic throughout our whole time at the nursery. Not only looking after our daughter but also myself!! They have been so kind and patient and nothing has been too much trouble. Their enthusiasm, kindness and patience has really helped us to settle really well. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is a really lovely nursery run by the manager and her team who always has the children and their families front of mind. It is a good sized nursery with excellent outdoor space, which they use virtually every day in most weather due to the outdoor classroom which our children love. The children feel very much at home there and the team is always making sure the rooms and the equipment work for the children currently in the class and updating when possible. The staff really care for the children providing lots of activities and themes, while supporting them in their individual interests. It is often challenging when both parents work but the manager really feels like a support and understands the chaos of working life. Both my children joined the nursery later (toddler / pre-school room) having to integrate into established groups, and they did so with no problem - I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery.

We have been very pleased with the nursery. Our daughter joined when she was 2 and has been supported in many facets of her development. Her key worker is fantastic, as well as the nursery manager who has created a wonderful environment and community. The outside area is also fabulous.

Wonderful nursery with fantastic outdoor space and staff that are both caring and nurturing. Both my girls had a fantastic experience there and have grown in to happy & confident little girls thanks mainly to the lovely staff and friendly environment.

We moved from London to Berkhamsted and found Sunhill to be a very different kind of nursery to those we found in the city.

There is a very warm, family environment everywhere, from the decor to the employees to the children to the music playing when you walk in. The Manager and her staff have been fantastic and helped a ensured a potentially difficult transition for our daughter went incredibly smoothly.

The facilities are good, but improving all the time with refurbishments and modernisation to several rooms and the garden in the past few months. The garden is fantastic and the staff really make use of it, giving the children lots of outdoor play time with education about plants, gardening and all the associated social development of playing in a fun outdoor space.

Our daughter's key worker is superb - greets her everyday with a smile and a project to help ease any morning anxiety and has really aided her development and communication.

In sum, I never ever write online reviews, but Sunhill is helping my daughter and doing a fantastic job of it, so this is an exception! Well done to the Manager and team, I couldn't recommend you more.
