Sunhill Day Nursery Berkhamsted

A quick review and thank you to all of the team in the babies room at Sunhill (Stars) - our daughter moves up to the next room shortly. The room leader, Lucy, is excellent and we've always felt so confident leaving our daughter at nursery with her and the team. They really care and do so much to help all the children develop and learn new skills.

Extremely happy with the care and service provided by Sunhill. We have three children attending in different rooms and have consistently had fantastic experience, My twin started recently and the return to work was made easier by the car and support from the baby room. Every member of staff is genuinely invested in the development and well being of the children and communication, especially with the babies is excellent. Highly recommend Sunhill to any family looking for a safe and nurturig environment for their children. Thank you.

Our son has settled in so well to nursery, we are really happy with our choice. We were really supported by the whole team during the transition period, with excellent communication and trust-building from all the staff. Our son has developed great relationships with his key worker and the other regular staff in his room and always has a big smile on his face when we pick him up.

We have sent both of our children to Sunhill Day Nursery. The staff are always so pleasant and welcoming to our children, making every day a delightful experience. This is evident by both our kids loving every day they're at nursery and always happy to go in! (even left and gone onto school). We also love that it seems that all the staff seem to know all the kids names.

The main thing that makes this nursery outstanding is the staff. The effort they put into helping our daughter settle in was amazing. They arrange different activities every day that are stimulating and fun and we are already noticing our daughter's development coming on leaps and bounds. Our daughter is a very fussy eater and the care and attention they put into helping her through mealtimes is so appreciated. Even her eating is coming on since she started this nursery only within this month. The app updates and photos are also such a bonus. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Sunhill for all that you do - it doesnt go unnoticed!

Sunhill has been a saving grace! After an awful experience trying to settle in at another nursery, with staff that quite frankly had no interest and didn't want to be there. I was left feeling like a neurotic first time mum, but my gut said it just wasn't right. After looking at a couple more nurseries, we found Sunhill. The most welcoming staff, warm & friendly atmosphere and emotionally invested in our little baby girl. Nothing was too much. They cared and wanted us to feel at ease, making the transition for me so much more barrage and removed anxieties. Our baby was all smiles and loved it, which is the same for us as first time parents. Day nursery of dreams!

In particular, we are extremely grateful to Caitlin who has a lovely bond with our son and who has gone above and beyond in helping him to settle and have fun at nursery.

So grateful for taking on our daughter on short notice. Her progress within the first week has been incredible. Thank you all.

My daughter has attended sunhill since she was 8months old, she is now nearly three. She has loved all three rooms she has been in so far and excited for her next room change. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, she often comes home talking about the nursery workers and the friends she's made there. My son is about to start the same nursery next month and it makes me happy knowing he will be looked after well. I highly recommend this nursery.

We couldn't be happier with the nursery. Our daughter bounds in everyday and always has a big smile on her face. All staff are caring and helpful with a genuine passion for looking after little ones. Highly recommended.

We had a tough time with our little boy who constantly cried at his last nursery during drop off. Little effort was made to fix this issue, which meant we decided to move our son to Sunhill. I cannot praise them enough. The whole team - Jan, Lisa, Laura, Izzy, Emma, Sarah, Sue (sorry if I missed others out!) are amazing. They had a real plan - tactics, experience, ideas and most importantly, passion. They really care. And the whole team are so fun! Every time we pick our son up they're doing something, getting into mischief and he's now very happy - as are all the kids. The space is fabulous, outside and inside and they are amazing at entertaining the kids. We're allowed into the room so we get a real feel of what is going on which we never had before. From a personal perspective I am really aware that they are aware of your feelings as a parent and how difficult drop of can be. I can't recommend them enough. Best in town!

Quite simply an oustanding nursery. Wonderful staff who really care for the kids and get to know each and every one of them, nothing is ever too much trouble and they alway have lots of fun activities planned for the day. My son has truly blossomed here.

From the very beginning, this nursery has felt like an extension of our family. My second daughter, who is highly sensitive, started nursery in September 2025, and the care and understanding she receives continues to exceed all expectations.

The staff are incredible, with special mention to Lucy, Charlotte, Jan, Fatima and Anna, who consistently go above and beyond. When food allergies arose for my daughter, they adapted immediately, putting clear measures in place and taking all the stress off me as a parent. Their reassurance and proactive approach have been invaluable.

What truly sets this nursery apart is how deeply they care. Everything I share about my daughter is remembered and reflected in how they adapt her day to suit her individual needs. I trust them implicitly and know she is safe, understood and genuinely cared for. This nursery truly feels like extended family

We are very happy with our choice of nursery for our son - Sunhill staff go above and beyond, consistently, to ensure his (and our) needs are met. We had another little one born last year and the entire team have been extremely supportive, for example keeping an eye on the baby whilst I drop off / collect our eldest. We feel he is already part of the Sunhill family and look forward to him joining soon. The team are all so kind and helpful, thank you all!

My daughter really enjoys her days at Sunhill, we always get a full run down of the day on pick up and the staff have been fantastic at getting her ready to move up rooms which she's now moved to seamlessly!

Our child loves the nursery and has settled in really well. The team are amazing - super welcoming and supportive, love the outdoor space and the updates that we get throughout the day. They offer the perfect balance of structure and flexibility for our child.

As a family we love Sunhill Nursery Berkhamsted, everyone is so caring and goes above and beyond. It's really like you're joining another family at Sunhill. The staff remember all the little details to make your child feel safe and at ease in their care. There's always enagaging and montisorri inspired activities, supporting your little one to become more independent.

The recently updated outdoor space at Sunhill is definitely the best in the area - it's incredible!! I love how much care and thought has gone into that garden as it really is so special!

Both of my children have attended Berkhamsted Sunhill over the last 6 years and we cannot fault the care and love they showed them. Both kids thrived in all aspects and we couldn't have asked for a better setting. Nothing is too much trouble and they really care about each and every child. Highly recommend to anyone.
