Woodside Nursery School

Both of my children have attended Woodside with my youngest still attending now. She's about to progress up to Owls but she started her Woodside journey in Bunnies. Every room has been wonderful, the experiences and the atmosphere is always amazing. It's truly a fantastic setting. My daughter has really blossomed during her time in Hedgehogs and I look forward to her progressing to Owls, as I know from experience the staff in the Owls department are wonderful too. I also think it's great that my youngest will have the same key person as my eldest did. All of the staff at Woodside are wonderful. So kind, attentive and full of knowledge. You can tell they all really love their jobs and care deeply for the children. I honestly cannot fault Woodside.

My son started in bunnies and has moved up through Woodside. I can't thank all of the staff enough for everything they have shown and taught my son. He is such a happy, confident and clever boy and I thank everyone there for bringing out the best in him. He loves his days at Woodside and looks forward to going the night before. We love all of the updates we get on the app, it's a joy to see all of the fun activities he does with his friends and how each activity is carefully planned to support motor skills, problem solving, independence and confidence.

We recently moved but we would rather do the hour round trip than to move him elsewhere. I understand why parents and there children have both attended Woodside.

Both of our children have attended Woodside and we honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. We looked at a number of nurseries in the local area, but Woodside really stood out to us, particularly because of its beautiful setting and fantastic outdoor space. The gardens are huge and give the children so much room to play, explore and learn.

The staff are kind, experienced and genuinely caring. One of the things we've particularly valued is the consistency of the team. Staff turnover seems very low and both of our children have had many of the same teachers, which I think says a lot about the nursery and gives the children a real sense of familiarity and security.

It has always felt like a very safe, happy and encouraging environment, and we've watched both of our children grow in confidence during their time there. There's also plenty of parking, which makes drop-offs and pick-ups easy.

For us, Woodside has been an excellent choice and we would highly recommend.

My son has being going to Woodside since Aug 2025 and I am so glad I chose this nursery. Since he has been attending he has grown in confidence, speech and many other aspects. Every single member of the team I have come into contact with are fantastic and my son absolutely loves his nursery practitioners. He is currently in hedgehogs and they have been incredible in teaching and caring for him and I can't thank them enough.

We have had such a positive experience with Woodside Nursery School. Our eldest attended from 2021 until starting school, and our three-year-old still attends now.

The staff are wonderful - caring, friendly and genuinely interested in the children as individuals. Communication with parents is excellent and we have always felt well informed and confident that our children are happy and well cared for.

There are lots of opportunities for outdoor play and a great variety of activities. We have also really appreciated how supportive and accommodating the nursery has been with our youngest child's dietary needs.

It has been lovely watching both children grow in confidence and independence, and our eldest was very well prepared for starting school. After years of attending Woodside, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery and are very grateful to all the staff for everything they do.

A huge thank you to the entire team for everything you do. You are all amazing at what you do, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a special nursery for our son. We couldn't recommend you highly enough!

We absolutely love Woodside and couldn't be happier with the care he receives here. The staff are amazing and genuinely care about the children, always making sure he is happy, settled and well looked after.

Over the last 6 months, we have seen such a huge difference in his development, confidence and independence, and we know the nursery has played a big part in that. They put so much effort into supporting his learning and development, while still making sure he has lots of fun.

We also love how much time they spend outdoors and the variety of activities they provide. It's lovely knowing that when we leave him there, he is safe, cared for and having a brilliant time.

We honestly couldn't recommend the nursery and the team enough! We knew from the moment we stepped foot into Woodside that this was the place for us, it really is a wonderful setting for our little boy.

Our son has been with the nursery for the past 3 years and under the guidance and care of the workers at Woodside he has developed into such a gentle, caring and empathetic toddler. We owe the team there so much and appreciate their friendliness, approachability and significant experience.

My son is 3 and has been going to Woodside since he was 1. The environment is really great for the children's development, they have fun, learn and socialise, indoors and outdoors. My son really enjoys his time at nursery, the friends he has made and the playing he gets to do. The staff are all really friendly and they are attentive to each child's needs. They give regular feedback on how the kids are doing and genuinely care about the children's safety, happiness and development.

Choosing a place for your child to attend in the care of others is a big decision, and I would not hesitate to do so with Woodside. Both my children have attended Woodside nursery, years apart from each other but each have received the same personal, quality and nurturing care throughout from all that work there, and still continue to do so.

Most importantly, our children are happy, settled and clearly enjoy their time at Woodside, which means the world to us. We would highly recommend Woodside Nursery to any parent looking for a caring, supportive and engaging environment for their children.

I have had a child at Woodside since September 2024. The team have been incredibly supportive and kind and have been an integral part to my child's development. Woodside is a team who are knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and supportive. They have a passion for child development and it shows in their care and support they have given my child.
